neutral · AI labelView post →My lord, the movie THE ASTRONAUT (2025) was so...amazingly...terrible on so many levels. Woah. There are misfires, and there are "why did they make the factory to produce the ammo that misfired?" The ASTRONAUT is one of those. Woof.

She comes back from her space mission and everything seems just a little bit off about everything around her... and herself. Film has some good moments but feels underbaked and obvious. 5/9 #FilmSky #HorrorSky #ScifiSky

neutral · AI labelView post →Next film was The Astronaut Lovers, directed by Marco Berger. Realised today that I saw one of his previous darker films. This one is basically a romcom, but not like a stalky Hollywood one. Loved this one. Very funny. Felt very real & authentic. Also the progression of the plot was paced nicely.

neutral · AI labelView post →As a send-off to 2025, I'll be posting 25 movies and shows that I watched for the first time last year. Day 15 - The Astronaut Pretty slow moving with lots of repetition. It's definitely not the best space movie, but I still enjoyed the story it was telling, and there were some cool visuals

positive · AI labelView post →Watched The Astronaut Kate Mara has no fear of typecasting despite this being the second film where she plays an astronaut who has a traumatic re-entry into earth who is also the white adopted daughter of a black father. It is better than Fant4stic. It also has the same plot as ET.
neutral · AI labelView post →In the original script he was Charles Astronaut, but back then the movie was just called "The Astronaut". Then Billy Bob Thornton signed on. He already was dressed like that, real dirty. The rest is Hollywood history
neutral · AI labelView post →Just watched "The Astronaut (2025)". 5/10 ⭐ First of all, it's not great. But it certainly has its moments. I'd read some reviews beforehand, so I knew there was a twist at the end, and there was enough foreshadowing that I mostly guessed it ahead of time. It was mostly just silly. Since the ending was somewhat expected, I wasn't hugely disappointed. My main issue with the film was that I found the motivation of the main character hard to accept throughout. 1/2 #Movies #Film #TheAstronaut
