The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl

unlabelledView post →The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl: After chipmunks this movie was a delight. It's charming and funny, questionable acting here and there that just add to the charm. George Lopez as Mr Electric is fantastic. It's the usual Rodriguez 3D visuals, so it's fun. Dream dream dream you little bleep.

It's the worst thing I've seen all year, and I love it for that. Sharkboy is so dramatic and I appreciate him for that. That fucking light bulb quote. The CGI sharks. Holy fuck.

(Maybe for younger audiences) I understand that this is supposed to be a "power of imagination" kids story, but there is just a lot of garbage in this. The kids seem to do some fairly good acting for what they're asked to do, but I'm not sure why George Lopez was cast, but the writing is weak enough that it could easily just be the writing.
