60 of 139 · most liked firstI think I got this game in 2024 to play with someone, but it turns out it was a solo game. Nonetheless, I really loved it. It became something I could control when my life was falling apart. Most of the time, I played the game alone and not on voice chat with anyone. I spent 53.9 hours in-game, which equates to 107 in-game days. I turned it on because I felt lost in my life and needed an escape. It saddens me that there are no more updates for it; I have done everything that can be done in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, HAD potential, but abandoned half way through the development. Dont bother. Theres a lot of other games with ongoing support and content updates for the same 15 bucks. Also 16 hours and ive maxed everything out already and make more money than i need. Less than an hour per dollar spent of gameplay. Thats crazy. Hasnt been an update in almost a year. Literally just more abandonware.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review Title: Great Potential, but Excessive Tedium Overall Verdict: Recommended (8.5/10) I’ve spent 40 hours building my tavern, and while I recommend the game, there are some deeply frustrating mechanics that need urgent attention. Key Issues & Feedback: -The Fairies' Cooking Quality: Why can’t fairies cook at a high-quality level? Even after reaching the maximum level, their cooking remains poor. This is a major bottleneck because high-quality food is essential for maximizing profits,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like the devs want the player to constantly be in a rushed panic with how much stuff you are forced to do and how often you need to do it. Yes, there is "automation" but it barely helps. I don't hate the game, but it feels like it hates me a lot of the time. Like a parent that is punishing me with extra chores because I accidentally used a swear in front of my grandma. -Fairies (the "automation") are slow and can only interact with a single object at a time. They level up, but that does…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could have been fantastic but hasn't been updated in now 9.5 months. So many sim games with potential abandoned by their developers leaving us with quarter baked games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it a good game? Sort of. But even though the final patch has released the game feels unfinished. You can sink quite a few hours into this game and as long as you enjoy a rinse and repeat gameplay style with upgrades that slow down quite significantly towards the underwhelming end. If this sounds like something for you, I do recommend it, but buy it on sale. If not, save yourself the time and frustration. However, read more reviews before you make a decision. I finished the whole thing, 100%…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite fun and easy to sink a lot of hours into. I especially appreciate how customisable the experience is. You can pick how many fairies (employees) you want and what specific jobs they do depending on how much work you want to do, and you can decide on how many customers you get depending on if you want more of a rush or not. Changing it up now and then was enjoyable. I just wish the outside world wasn't so empty. I understand that the tavern is where you're meant to spend 99% of your…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun until it wasn't. Basically for a while you keep working the tavern upgrading things adding more things etc. and it's enjoyable. Problem is the cost for ♥♥♥♥ goes up, but the customer amount really doesn't. They order a bit more things, but you don't really have a tavern master situation. You get roughly the same amount of customers (as long as you have seating) 5 hours in as 1 hour in - except you have a lot more costs for upgrades. Also with the upgrade system leaning more towards…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much handholding throughout the whole game. Not really any level of customization other than cosmetic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like an abandoned beta release, just stick to the free demo since you won't be missing much. Devs already moved on to theri new game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for a little bit, but also not really. Consists mostly of just running around for some basic, not-quite-fun chores/minigames. Doesn't really expand much in terms of gameplay - it has about 5 to 7 minigame mechanics and that's it. The amount of customisation for the tavern is very barebones. The trailer shows the entire game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda fun, but ai slop banner. This game makes me wish there would be a full fleshed tavern master game in a fantasy world of adventurers/Knights/magicians

Trying to 100% it at the moment and if you're not aware of them beforehand, there's a few achievements you may have to go into a new save file for, but this game is super fun and the content loop is much more enjoyable than other simulator games. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game fills the tavern-shaped hole that I felt so deeply for so long. However, the cost scaling of the last 5 levels is absurdly unrealistic, and the hotel function, although neat, does not provide enough revenue to warrant the hefty cost of building the thing, especially that late in the game. I DNF'd this game at level 12 because of those two things, but up until that point, the game is a lot of fun, and I definitely recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →games decent but dont buy it they stopped putting out updates. maybe if its on discount but can finish game pretty quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game. The pacing is comfortable and very rewarding until you get to the last 3 levels of your tavern, and then the game just gets too grindy, requiring many hours to reach the 'end'. Despite the fact that doing things with our own hands is nice, at some point I missed more automation—the fairies help, but they decrease the quality of food and drinks. If we could automate more things and get money faster, it would be better. In the end, it's a fun management game with lots of hands-on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tavern Manager Simulator is part of a flood of games on Steam. This sort of Business Manager Sim game is extraordinarily common, and lots of them have major issues, but this one has a lot of promise, and seemingly-attentive devs, so I am leaving this review specifically for them: I really like the basic skeleton of this game. I sank over a day's time into the gameplay, and I can easily see myself spending more time on this, and recommending it to others with similar tastes, but not in its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay loop gets a little repetitive after an hour or so, and you can get 100% of achievements and unlocks in about 2-3 days of gameplay. Also, they used AI art in the banner. Unfortunately I didn't notice until I'd already played too much to refund it. Wouldn't have bothered buying it in the first place if I knew. Can't in good conscience recommend it now.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game so much. Came across it completely randomly and decided to give it a try since it was discounted. BEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE. Everything about this game is fantastic. The progression in this game is very well paced. Though I haven't maxed out my Tavern yet, I am amazed again and again at how much thought the devs have put into each upgrade. They've managed to create a feeling where there's always something new to discover, without making the player feel overwhelmed. A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It just get repetitive quite quickly, there's no real variety of actions or choices.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really fun at the beginning, but it gets too grindy later on. I barely got to tavern lvl 12 because it takes sooooo much time to grind money, I got bored before I could afford the hotel. Still, there are some fun things to do - a little world to explore, easter eggs to find. I also like villagers' dialogues and the decorations, even if some of them were so expensive I could never afford them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a fine game and everything, but it gets boring quickly. I’d almost give it a thumbs down, but it’s still chill. There isn’t enough content. It’s basically the same thing over and over again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I've given this game a good try. It's "okay", but it's not that polished at all. It feels like a "demo" but maybe just maybe a very long one with a "repeated" game-play loop. There's no depth to it. There's no "medieval" feeling to it. It just feels like you're a bartender who's occasionally serving sausages, and to very bland, lifeless NPCs, there's nothing "medieval" about it, except the music maybe. Maybe on a very deep sale it could be worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good and satisfying simulator, however, the gameplay has a dedicated goal to achieve and even together with all the currently available achievements, this can be 100% completed in like 25-30 hours. Of course, you can continue playing this fully sandbox-style, but at that point, all mechanics are so well known that it adds very little value. Content-wise the game could be a bit more elaborate, but overall a pleasant and quite polished experience. Ideally get it as part of some bundle or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Real nice tavern manager that's far from being perfect. All the systems are there but they lack polish. It's nice that you are pretty free to decorate your tavern and you can even adjust the number of visitors. Fairy helpers make your job easier too. Otherwise everything becomes repetitive as there are only two drinks to pour and two food to cook with fairy helpers active. Even less, if you want them to do all these jobs. Then all you do is run around and clear tables and occassionally take a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like it's in early access, it's unfinished (abandoned, I think) and janky. I love the concept but found the gameplay to be way too frustrating for it to be fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy this game, this is a really nice cosy game. Running your own fantasy tavern in some medieval realm. I love the little mini game and the constant going back and fourth trying to clean, serve and manage the tavern. Really looking forward to the next games coming from this dev, especially the Anime store one. Looks really cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Casual and fun are the first things that come to mind. Serve drinks, food, and keep your tavern in good shape—it’s simple enough. I do wish for more content, but even as it is, the game is decent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The more upgrade of your Tavern, the more busy you are Even you hired those little fairies to handle different task for you, they are slow and can't catch up customer request sometimes You will use all the money to purchase the upgrades until you reach to last level and it is so unrewarding This game is the perfect example of how to ruin the fun of playing game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is far too slow to progress and far too repetitive. this is just a sneaky mechanic for a developer to add practically no content and depth to a game. its otherwise ok. its not buggy, everything functions ok
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very addictive Tavern experience, with many hours worth of gameplay. You open a run down tavern, earn points and unlock new areas and upgrades, with a few hidden gems around the map. I personally enjoyed finding a goblin and keeping it behind my tavern, as a sort of warning signal to patrons who to tried to stiff me. The game also features fairy enslavement, and the bonus of wacking customers over the head with a cooking pan! What's not to like I ask?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great food service simulator! Such a fresh and frantic experience after other shop simulators I've played where I spend the entire day stuck behind a cash register (Teddy's Haven) or sitting in the manager's office and cracking packs/staring at the wall once I've hired enough employees (Trading Card Shop Simulator). It took me just 18 real life hours and 45 in game days to reach tavern level 15 of 16 and reputation 16. This includes building the hotel as soon as it became available (10,000…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the fairy helpers are locked behind some pretty high requirements and they are terrible in general besides cleaning and dishwashing. no matter their level, they only produce BASIC food and drinks...no matter if they are level 1 or level 10. you don't really have any agency as to WHAT your tavern looks like.. it's basic and the ONLY things you can add are like plants and decorations like wall hanging s that do nothing except for add clutter, they don't increase reputation gain(the only way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've found this game addictive when I got into it, satisfying and time actually escaped me. With the way I have chosen to play it there is always something to do, even during the night when there is meant to be somewhat of a grace period, which at the start there sort of was. Now, the further I have got into it I can keep plodding along without being overwhelmed in regards to stock and getting the food and drink sellable. The fairies help a lot too, especially when you finally unlock the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first hour was fun, the rest not so much. You serve 2 drinks, ale and wine. Sausages and cheese you just buy and sell. You will only work on one type of soup and cooked meat, that's it. The hotel you unlock later on is just a money sink, it cost so much to build, you will NEVER get it back in the few hours you actually play this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If there was a way to review a game as neutral, I would here. The good: -I like being able to go out and find little odds and ends, like finding the gnomes on the roof or the random events beyond that. -The decor is fun, though I don't like how some of it has a hitbox and can be moved by guests. -The game itself is fine, although repetitive, that might not be some people's thing. The bad: -It gets super grindy later, like I'm only two trophies away from being 100% done and its just a slog.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A reasonably entertaining, somewhat mindless, incremental progression simulator. It features a small host of reasonably amusing minigames for various tasks inside the tavern, and kept me entertained as I played some podcasts and the like. The biggest issue with the game is its pacing. Early game, upgrades come pretty quickly, only a few in-game days apart, and you progress through unlocking new content at a good pace. Once I hit tavern level 12/16 and I got a popup saying I'd unlocked all the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is FUN and cozy, don't sleep on it! I'm enjoying the updates! I didn't actually realize just how many hours I've played but yes, I recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Advertising other products in-game, including pop-up windows on launch.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels unfinished and really grindy - you unlock some helpers at one point but it doesn't help that you do the same thing over and over and over again. The world outside the tavern also looks like it was just hastily added - trees floating in the air, not much to do except walking back to the tavern... had potential but as it is now i would not recommend it, too repetitive with not much to spice it up, and the minigames get old real fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The grill keeps on bugging out and getting stuck on the last part of the cooking minigame
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Other than Waterpark simulator, this is my second obsession. Love this freakin game so much :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tavern Manager is a blast once you push past the sluggish early game. As soon as you build some momentum and unlock key perks from the skill tree, the gameplay shifts from feeling like a chore to being genuinely fun. Sure, there’s a lot of repetition, but isn't that par for the course with simulator games? Even after unlocking all the helper fairies, you still get to stay hands-on. I love that you can customize their roles however you want—at one point, I ran a setup with just waiters, one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey kiddo, Handsome Jack here... and I just played Tavern Manager Simulator, and apparently someone finally made a game where I can do what every CEO secretly wants to do: run an establishment where the employees are incompetent, the customers are demanding, and I get to yell at everyone while counting money. Finally. A business simulator with vision. You start with a tiny, miserable tavern and slowly turn it into something respectable. You clean tables, serve drinks, cook food, manage…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addicting game loop with options for automation. Got about 2/3 through before I hit the wall. Time well spent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like this game.. i hope to see more content or new DLC
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a lot of potential to this one, they got some things REALLY well made; like pacing and lots of fun stuff to invest in late game. But the core gameplay loop is kind of average. The helpers get faster over time, but never more proficient, so best policy is just to do all the minigames yourself, forever. Then comes the double whammy of why the negative review. First, the timing minigames are narrow but fair, unless the game loads in another couple of assets and the frames drop a bit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally! A tavern/inn game that let me just focus on actually tavern and inn stuff not a "collect x to craft y or else you don't have z on tavern menu" or "do farming crops to have more ingredient" or "I need to go in the forest to hunt x to have y to cook or else I don't have z on menu" I about to hit 15 hours of gameplay now and I worry that I might about to reach a end game content but well! at least this game manage to give me a good time for 15 hours, for a game of this price, I think it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean its alright, really repetitive though
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the PERFECT game for smart people to just turn off their brains and let muscle memory do its thing. It's especially useful when high. For people of average or lower intelligence, there may be a bit more of a stress factor involved, as the number of things you have to juggle and the little bits of quick math required to keep your operation in balance gets pretty excessive. Fortunately the game doesn't punish you TOO harshly when you get out of alignment, just enough to make it feel like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I very rarely post a review for a game partly due to laziness and partly due to losing that wonderful interest in the first few hours. I can say without a doubt this is probably one of the most intense and fun games I ever played that was not a horror game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic "one more day" gameplay. Super addictive. Just stressful enough to keep your interest--and since you can adjust how busy your day will be, you can have things be as crazy or relaxed as you want! I just wish I could do something about the a-holes who come through and steal your supplies during the day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game wouldn't normally be considered that good..AI helpers are janky, especially, the wait staff. The game also seems to prioritize the wrong automations. I enjoy the cooking and hate the wood chopping and water pumping, but I end up doing those two the most. Like I said this is not a great game, but we live in a post Concord world now so.....10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun tavern simulator that gets a little long in the tooth by the end, but I overall enjoyed. Lots of minigames to serve food and drinks to your customers and the tavern offers a lot of customization options. If you're looking for a cozy tavern sim that you don't have to think too hard about, this is it!
