S.W.A.T.
Created by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, Shawn Ryan
A Los Angeles S.W.A.T. sergeant is assigned to lead a highly skilled unit in the community where he grew up. Torn between loyalty to the streets, where the cops are sometimes the enemy, and allegiance to his brothers in blue, he strategically straddles the two worlds. From TMDB

negative · AI labelView post →For all the complicated foibles of the 2017 S.W.A.T. series, its sequel show S.W.A.T. Exiles seems to be hell-bent on crafting unnecessary conflict by painting Hondo as an easily agitated cowboy version of his former self, willing to make self-sabotaging judgment calls he formerly would abhor.

America was in the midst of an explosion of cop shows; the ABC series spent three out of four seasons in the Top 25, and soon generated the spinoff S.W.A.T. ("Shoot When Attacked or Threatened"). 😉
