But there is a pretty big bug in the game where you can't load saves because the game crashes during loading screen and the devs are just saying, we know, no eta to fix in a very difficult way…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As an older person who has been gaming since before they had hard drives on computers, I can say that this is well done. A nice balance of gameplay between combat styles and the always-liked base building. Resource gathering is balanced and inventory management is just the right amount of annoying. Ya can't keep it all..lol. Get this game if any of this sounds up your alley. You won't be sorry.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, have so much potential but as other have already state, there are ton of bugs that need to be fix and issue need to address. Feel like the game suppose to be in early access first to be honest. So right now I have to not recommend it. (until it been address/fix) Here are the few bugs/issue currently in my game: - Mask that suppose to protect your team does not work. - Quest stuck or does not trigger properly, some reload might get fix, some couldn't. - Building durability gone…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They made a big show about asking for player feedback, only to consistently ignore it It's sad, there was so much potential here, but then it started to slowly wither. I kept my hopes alive that they will actually at some time address meaningful player feedback that would greatly enhance QoL in game mechanics, but since the last patch was a quarter year ago, I believe this game is pretty much safe to call dead now. RIP STF
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game with many flaws Consider the following before purchasing Perhaps better described as two halves of very different games in a trench coat pretending to be one game. Neither half (base management and top down action RPG with pause) feels very fleshed out, and are extremely unbalanced. The hotkey for pause in the base management works about half the time. I ended up just having to click at the top right, which is annoying. Lots of absolutely useless buildings and research…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starts fun but quickly loses it's luster. Pros: - Atmosphere. I feel like the game got the right mix of 'just trying to survive' - Scavenging feels fairly fun early on (sadly it blends together soon) - Visual diversity of locations - Stealth can be surprisingly fun Cons: - Player's vilage feels like it's sole point is to be there. It can produce some items and compliments some of the deficite (water), but output is miniscule in comparison to what player can scavange from exploration. Your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really, REALLY wanted to like this game. In theory, it has everything I like. Post-apocalypse setting, isometric view, team-building to some degree, base-building, the works. But i genuinly can NOT reccomend anyone this game as it is right now. While I do not own hardware to run the latest in gaming on Ultra-settings, I am able to run Cyberpunk2077 decently smooth on mid-high in 1080p. And this game amnages, at its lowest settings, to keep stuttering, lagging, call it whatever you want.…

Is this game a masterpiece? No, it is a bit too indie (and still buggy) for that. Survive the Fall is another game that I had the opportunity to see last year at Gamescom in Cologne, and it really caught my interest. Have the Polish developers managed to deliver an exciting mix of isometric action, open-world exploration, tactical combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very buggy, short, unfinished game with identiy crisis. What can you expect? Linear mainstory with ~20 sidequests in 3 big areas from woods to city ruins and finally a "wasteland". The quests could be done in i guess 10-15hrs at best. The problem: you're forced to grind loot, every 100m you have to go back to camp to unload loot, upgrade the camp buildings, craft better weapons, armor etc to be able to loot more things and kill later enemies. That's add easily 30hrs without real gameplay fun.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, this game has a lot of bugs, like a lot. From not being able to select characters at camp, characters getting stuck in terrain to characters unable to interact with anything (like forever, reloading doesn't help). It's a shame because, when it works, this game is pretty fun and I could see myself sinking hours and hours into this. Let's get into it a little, first some pros. This title has a pretty good gameplay loop, you manage your camp and then you go out on expeditions to do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchases full Bundle after the update. I have not run into any of the bugs or problems mentioned in any of the previous reviews. Game plays great and is a lot of fun. Dead State, Stranded Alien Dawn, and Fallout all mixed in one. Angry Bulls has made a game that, like Civ 4, makes the hours played seem like minutes. Great mix of base building, combat, mission, and survival. Definitely worth every penny. I have been playing PC games since Commadore 64 and this is the first review I have given…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Firstly, i want to say that the idea here is really good and i especially enjoy the base building aspects of this game. Out of my 30 odd hours of playing, i think around 20 hours of that has been just building up my base. Although i can see that once i have 3 of the best type of equipment, the base is likely to become somewhat redundant. The game outside the camp, is ok..... The graphics are not very good in my opinion which is made worse by the fact that you are limited by how zoomed in…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →characters dying because you have you have to feed them manually, have to carry missions and same heroes can not rest on their own when tired, you have to manually wash their hands. some buildings unclear where to build like fishing nets is it on river or inside house unknown !? unclear what to do even resources plentiful. why heroes can not go automatcly to bed if they tired they rather dye but not sleep?!? why i have to go on mission if i need finish building at base!?!?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an early release is always the excuse for these buggy games. my biggest problem with this game is that the amount of time you spend at your base is is not enough time to do anything. The production times of the various crafting stations is way to long as well as not receiving enough as an outcome. by the time the characters run around the base to gather material then actually start the process of crafting an item, it feels like its just filler time to make you be less effective. The game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little gem - a no stress / no pressure post biological phenomenon game in which you control the pace. I like and favors my need to pick up everything and leave no stone unturned. Two modes are available - both isometric. Expeditions: Move out, commando style! You patrol, gather resources and fight the enemy in typical top/down squad style. You can pause at any time you like and assign commands in a 'begging to be reworked' command panel. I rarely pause and just attack head on - the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy Game. Don't buy it until most of the game breaking bugs are fixed. Game auto-saves and time-saves, but 80% of the time they don't work. When you load a game, the game "auto-saves" the loading then won't load. (I successfully reproduced this bug, your team needs to get wiped). A lot of items are not working as intended. Plan-pause mechanic is a joke. Some buildings do not work as intended or characters get stuck inside them. A few annoying loot cannot be looted. (can't be reached or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do like scavenging and collect everything, i do like building my base and upgrading it, i did like the demo (that is why demos are important) so i bought the game and enjoying it ever since. Yes it has a few bugs but nothing game breaking so far. I also do enjoy the leveling system that doesnt rely on exp but on items (that i have to build by research and upgrade) thus improving the guys i send out there. Some also say that it has no replay value... well by the time i will finish it having…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dont waste your money on this game. It lack everything, story, tactics... game play gets boring very quickly as looting system is so rubbish. In 1 hour expedition you are spending half of that time waiting to open loot containers. This game failed to grab my interest but made sure I lose it all together.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- identity crisis - awkward user interface - blurry graphics that give you a headache - annoying base management in real time for literally no reason
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lot's of bugs you would expect from a game in EA not a finished title. I have struggled with keyboard controls and mouse and joypad not working as intended like if aiming a gun you can't hit stuff cos ur aim line drops to the floor and enemies off the screen because ur camera is to close even with it scrolled right back, Janky controls, keys not working and plenty more issues from others playing. They say fixes are on the way and yes at the time of this review it's on offer and some might be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best thing about this game are the nice graphics. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. The story is boring, the characters are all the same, shallow and unimaginative. The dialogues are one continuous cringefest. And the gamedesign is utter garbage. The menus are cumbersome at best, there's very little that really makes sense or is comfortable to achieve and the balancing is all over the place.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much Micromanaging B.S. Seriously resting only allows one person to sleep at a time on the ground? Finding quest items and minimal storage space, often need to head to camp as a waste of time filler. Could be a good game so far annoying with the micro-managment. Items and enemies getting stuck in walls/floors/water. The Gift you need 4 pressure plates so you need to keep an enemy alive to distract them to step on the plate? If you killed all enemies you are S.O.L. (hate games that make…

Performance issues, FPS drops and stutter everywhere, annoying AF. (RTX 4090, i9 13900k) The whole Game Design sounds nice on Paper, but the executing is so bad. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game Surviving the Fall is, in my opinion, one of the few games that truly gave me a lot compared to many others I’ve been looking for. When it comes to survival, story, crafting, or combat itself, everything has its place. However, I honestly don’t understand why this game has such low ratings, because I don’t think it deserves them. Yes, the game has its flaws. For example, the first major issue is the number of bugs—there are a lot of them, and many of them could have been avoided if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fairly average survival game. Nothing new, no unique experience — everything it has is already present in other games, and those games usually implement it better. It feels like an attempt to combine a bunch of elements from different titles, but in the end every gameplay mechanics lacks depth.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 126 hours, can't continue main quest. School roof creatures are there, but don't react to me, can't kill them. Says I need to kill 25 gangsters in the school. I've got 20/25, but there are no more gangsters at that location. It was a pretty fun game up to that point. I know I could go back 20-30 hours to a previous save, but I detest replaying content. Oh, well. I really should stop buying games on release.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is too buggy at the moment, can't even progress along the main quest to unlock the rest of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll give it a thumbs up just because it's not terrible, but it's not amazing either. It's mid, but still not worth the thumbs down. Game throws you into the wilderness explaining what to do, your base gets attack and when you return it's ruins, so you build it back up. You base is a separate location from the main game, you don't get to chose where it goes. Exploring the world is alright, doesn't look the best. Very dull looking and gloomy which makes it look depressing. It feels a little out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't normally bother with reviews but thought this deserved one. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I do love squad management and survival in post apocalyptic settings. My favourite genre by far. An interesting mix of squad based real-time exploration and a separate base management mode. Think dead state but with real time pause based combat instead of turn based. Or similarities with the systems in this war of mine. You do your base management, research, food, health, production,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Going to get a no from me. They have options to control things like how fast your hunger drops, and I set it to easy because I really don't like the survival game nonsense where you need to eat 17 entire cows per day to survive, but even on "easy" you're always hungry at all times. It also doesn't let you set drain rates for anything else like sleep needs. The combat is super floaty, you're always outnumbered unless you engage with their awful stealth system. None of combat and stealth is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game play is good and fun.. around mid game the fps starts to tank and the screen starts to skip. Secondly... the amount of misspelled and missing words in the dialog is incredible. Also, you can easily tell when the dev outsourced parts of the dialog to people who don't speak English as their first language. The script wasn't proofread at all. Run it through a chat AI for god's sake. It'll fix all of these more facepalm type issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is a bit janky, can be a little ugly to look at, but it has a certain charm that really stands out. The gameplay loop is super satisfying. Scavenge the wasteland, bring stuff back, upgrade your camp, and go out and do it all over again. There's currently 3 maps. Lots of quests. People to recruit. The story isn't anything to write home about but it's there. Expect bugs but nothing game breaking. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good ☐ Decent ☑ Bad ☐ Don‘t…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game after multiple patches is still not playable. Don't waste you time and money, I wish I could get refund. My character is randomly rolling, preventing me from any exploration ... I waited 3 patches, but nothing changed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waste of Money and Time. The story line and in-game quests are for under 8 years old players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont write many reviews, but I wanted to share my impressions of the game after 18 hours in. Overall, I like the game. It took a little bit to understand some of the mechanics, but my people are not hungry and my camp is slowly upgrading. I am playing on "normal" mode, no way near ready for harder modes. My main observations: 1. This game isn't intuitive. I am constantly scanning the discussion board or Google to answer questions. 2. Maybe I have a setting wrong, but the third…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those games that are buggy messes, but you play them anyway because they are fun and appeal to you. Devs have a lot of work still left to balance and patch things out, but core gameplay is fun for me. If they improve upon it and make a sequel , that maybe could get even 8 or 9. Right now I have to guess its a 7 for me. Not because of bugs or balance, its just that its a bit light on rpg elements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to enjoy the game, and when it works, I do enjoy it. A lot. However, when it crashes 10x in an hour or two dozen times since purchase, it makes it really really hard to keep playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would never re-purchase this game for any reason. The game itself reminds me of a mixture of four other games.. which I am pretty sure most if not some of you could guess.. Too me this game seems like it was created just so the dev's could get their ego's massaged and only listen to those foolish enough to throw smoke up their rears and tell them how good they are doing when that is not the case. Other reviews pointed out more than enough which I do not need to repeat.. I requested a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I played the game first, it made a very good impression. The first map was almost playable, but the bugs get worse as I proceed to the next areas. The second map had a lot of problems, but you could get through it with some reloading, but the last map is a disaster with some game-breaking bugs so that you can not finish some mainquest which means you can not finish the game or the area. Its another example of unfinished business just thrown on the market half done. I really miss the times…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd rather play space haven than this. You can't set schedules for when people should sleep or what tasks they should accomplish first. Other games do the survival aspect better than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Survive the Fall Review – A Solid Survival Experience First off, I’ll give credit where it’s due: the developers are actively working on resolving the crashing issues, and they’re aware of the problem, which is great to see. That said, the tutorials in the game do a fantastic job of explaining every aspect of gameplay, making it easy to get up to speed and jump into the action. The variable challenge mode is a nice touch, allowing you to adjust the difficulty to suit your…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Survive the Fall is an ambitious post-apocalyptic survival and strategy hybrid developed by Angry Bulls Studio and published by Toplitz Productions. Set in a world devastated by a catastrophic meteor strike, the game imagines humanity struggling to rebuild civilization after the collapse of society. The impact wiped out a large portion of the population and released a strange contaminating force known as “Stasis,” which transformed parts of the environment and introduced new threats to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best post apoc base building Rpg's I’ve played in a long time. few little bugs here and there like crafting more arrows on expedition than in camp and bullets being near impossible to craft because they are so expensive but even that being said its amazing. The only thing I think its missing is levelling up for your settlers and could use a few more areas as the content towards the end seams a little sparce but its well worth the price and definetly an amazing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I like the game structure, I've crashed twice now in just four hours, and can't recommend a game in that state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoy this one. It stands somewhere between State of Decay and Judgment: Apocalypse, with a bit of Commandos thrown in. Much more tactical and less action paced than State of Decay, with better graphics and more action than Judgment. I reallz appreciate there are no endless waves of enemies, Fight is more akin Commandos view stealth kills and visibility arcs. Even if rough around edges I really enjoy the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could tell from the outset this game was made by a passionate, dedicated team, they have also responded fast on fixing small issues with the release of game. The gameplay loop is great, really enjoying this! Quests are really good. There are some great easter eggs. The combat isnt quite what i thought it would be with the pause option but im still loving it. Building up the camp is a great concept, needs just a little qol update to features to make it epic (which im sure will come!). Overall…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure if i should recommend or not as my save is not loading anymore (I did report it if someone wonders) and there are quite a few bugs game idea is nice. way too much micromanagement, repair buildings should be automated, logic of assigning settlers to buildings is too limited so the function is quite useless. there should be a function to set a minimum for ressources (planks, water, wood, food, etc.) in camp and assign people to make sure these minimums are met. otherwise you keep…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No updates in over a year. Likely abandoned. Do not buy this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointing execution of good ideas Survive the Fall has a lot of potential with its neat concepts and solid visual aesthetics, but in its current state, it feels rushed, unfinished, and barely playtested. Characters and enemies get stuck in textures. I couldn't finish a side mission because an enemy clipped into a wall and became unreachable. On top of that, squad AI is poorly implemented, and teammates constantly block doorways and narrow paths. Ammunition randomly disappears from the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everyone that commented with it constantly crashing, seem to have a specific issue on their end. Not one crash and my pc is going on 5 years old now. Pretty good top down management game. My only request for improvement would be to have voice actors, instead of trying to read everything they say, because sometimes it is being said right in the middle of a fight and you miss it entirely. My only other gripe, is that when you end the day, everyone should sleep, especially the ones you do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have just completed the game and I have to admit, I was impressed. The game has a number of similar features to the original Fallout, but with base building features. I liked the idea of adding trinkets to improve your facilities. Also visually its really good. There are a number of gripes or improvements I would like to see though, but nothing game breaking. It would have been nice to be able to upgrade the abilities of your survivors. Yes you can give them better gear, but nobody…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game, from what I've seen thus far. I like the option to not only place pre-defined buildings in the base-building section, but to also have the possibility to customize the interior of the buildings to suit your specific needs. The only thing that I missed so far is character customization.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What's the Good, the Bad, and Ugly with this game considering the mixed reviews? I like the party mechanics of being able to go on mini expeditions on a "overland type" map. The map also replenishes resources during each expedition so there is no need to feel like you are going to run out of food, materials and other areas to sustain. The combat can be both real time and pause, and several playthrus allow for "Leroy Jenkins" storm the fort moments, or even Sneaking a stealth kill. I like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has some bugs, but nothing that really impeded my gameplay, except for one side mission. I really enjoyed this game overall. My only complaints are that it felt a little short, and I felt like most of the information that's only available in the guidebook really should have been built into the game. My recommendations for improvements are: 1. Add more missions. The story felt positively barren, no pun intended. I would recommend adding at least another dozen side missions to flesh out the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here you have to survive the fall from the textures, endure the infuriating AI, get through the numerous bugs and glitches and finally find out that the real treasure was the time that you wasted on this game. No even basic voiceacting, terrible pathfinding, A LOT of bugs and some mechanics not even working.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A buggy mess, but fun and cheap. Plenty of triggers that wont trigger, convos and so on. This is mostly fixed by saving before ending a day and before starting convos. just load if the triggers are not doing their job. And yes the game is that fun that turning Save-a-holic for it is worth it.
