Near the end his hand gets fucked up. After that he gets kicked into a hole and goes to jail so here's hopin'

unlabelledView post →I am very sad to report that Terence Stamp has died. Brilliant actor. Especially brilliant as General Zod in Superman and Superman II.
unlabelledView post →There’s a double feature of Superman and Superman II on Sundance TV tonight. 48 years later and the original is still the best Superman movie, and still the best Super Hero movie. They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore.

unlabelledView post →“Next year Darius III”, which is displayed when you clear Zone X of Darius 2, is a homage to “NEXT YEAR SUPERMAN II” from the credits of Superman (1978), the game designer’s favorite movie. Darius 2's designer also did the game design of the arcade version of Superman (1988) Still waiting btw😢

unlabelledView post →Of the two, Superman II has the more solid ending to be sure. The Donner Cut firms it up, but compared to the first movie it at least feels like it has more structure to it. I guess you just gotta take them both as one big film.
unlabelledView post →Released in this very month in 1981, and timed to tie-in with the UK release of the film “Superman II”, the seventh issue of The Super Heroes Monthly reprint magazine with its Alan Craddock cover featuring the movie’s Kryptonian hero & villains.
unlabelledView post →It’s got a dog. This will be the greatest Superman movie since Superman II.
unlabelledView post →Superman (2025): Still the best Superman movie since the first two. Or in my case, Superman II. But this one is definitely my favorite these days as it harkens back to why the character is enduring but still modernized that there's a best of both worlds and it just simply did everything right.
unlabelledView post →Will Superman II in Review also be longer than the actual movie? Only one way to find out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fW5K...
unlabelledView post →Weird thing about watching this film is when I saw it in cinemas what I couldn't stand about it was the feeling like there was a much better film showing you when exactly Lex Luthor had discovered Superman's hideout. And it turns out I was right, because that film was Superman II.
unlabelledView post →And this trilogy definitely understands the conflict (made explicit in the much similar Matrix trilogy) between attachment to a particular human and attachment to humanity. This is what Superman II (the best film by far in this entire discussion) is entirely about.
unlabelledView post →Ahead of the release of the latest film, we essentially have two Superman trilogies. The first is the Christopher Reeve-Brandon Routh trilogy, including Superman, Superman II, and Superman Returns, appropriately ignoring the lesser Reeve sequels.

unlabelledView post →Finally saw Superman. Superman II will likely always be my favorite Superman film but this is a solid second. Corenswet is the perfect modern day Superman. Cavill looked great in the suit but the films were so dark and sad. And while this one isn’t perfect, it is bright and hopeful. ❤️💙

unlabelledView post →I've been tough on Marvel films over the years, but when they get it right, I'm the first to applaud. "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is not only the series best, it's the finest comic book movie since my beloved "Superman II." Ironically enough, the director's initials are DC. More on Friday.

unlabelledView post →4. Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (2006 recut of 1980 movie) Some seams start to show in the climax but this is still an excellent sequel and it kind of winds me how Sam Raimi Spider-Man 2 kinda cribs all of it. The last, like, ten minutes? Horrendous. Take it out of the movie.
unlabelledView post →I still love Superman II. While not perfect, I'll always believe that there is a great movie in there somewhere. Another re-edit using existing footage from both the Donner & Lester versions would be ideal. Someday.
unlabelledView post →This is the least of our concerns if Paramount Skydance gets their way, but god dammit... Superman II is going to just be a solo movie for Homelander from The Boys, isn't it? Wouldn't it be great if we actually blocked these mergers rather than bend over backwards to accommodate them?
unlabelledView post →It’s hard to describe the differing approaches in the two versions of this movie without making the theatrical SUPERMAN II sound bad, which it’s not But this is far less jokey, which is better, and it simply has fresher work from a cast who hadn’t already been on this two-movie project forever
unlabelledView post →12. Superman II - The Richard Donner Cut (1980/2006) Did Sam Raimi literally steal the entirety of this movie? I mean it's still really great but what the hell.

unlabelledView post →3. SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT features a video fix to the geometry of the iconic final shot of the film, in which Superman smiles at the camera—the shot on the previous 4K disc was oddly squished horizontally.
unlabelledView post →I remember movie nitpicking types on the internet calling out Superman II for Superman's memory-erasing kiss on Lois Lane, posing the question: "why doesn't Superman just kiss Lex Luthor?" I also ask that question, but not for the same reasons.

unlabelledView post →A splendid advance movie poster for 1980’s “Superman II”. Somehow I never saw this back in the day. If I had, I’d’ve been impossibly excited about these fiendish Kryptonian mega-baddies from the Phantom Zone. “Kneel before Zod!” indeed.
unlabelledView post →Unsworth died during the shooting of Tess (1979). He had however already shot some of the scenes for Superman II (1980), which were filmed at the same time as those of Superman (1978). The original Superman movie is dedicated "with love and respect" to his memory.
