unlabelledView post →Want to feel old? In the movie "Stripes," Bill Murray's army unit sang the early rock n roll song "Doo Wah Diddy Diddy” while marching. If the movie was made today, songs that would be just as old include "Single Ladies" by Beyoncé and "Low” by Flo Rida (feat. T-Pain).

In a scene midway through the movie, Cowboy introduces his squad to Joker and Rafterman: “They’re from Stars and Stripes; they’ll make you famous.”

But "Midnight Run" (a great film which apparently I memory holed that every third word is a curse) or Stripes (for a variety of things but, yeah, there's bikini clad mud wrestling).

Other films playing in Green Bay at the time: "Stripes," "Zorro, the Gay Blade," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "The Cannonball Run," "S.O.B.," "Blow Out," "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Heavy Metal." Wow.
