So I rented it again! Or rather, THE PG-13 CUT BY ACCIDENT. My friends were pissed they didn't get to see Chun-Li's boobs like I promised.
unlabelledView post →Anyway. My birthday is this weekend and every year around this time I watch Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. That is what I will be doing when the new film releases.
unlabelledView post →Bluesky allowing video clips of up to three minutes now certainly opens up possibilities. Here's the Street Fighter II scene from the 1993 Jackie Chan film, "City Hunter".

unlabelledView post →I'm planning to watch Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie from 1994 in preparation for the 2026 live action Street Fighter Movie As someone who's been an SF fan since SF4 came out (thanks guy at Best Buy in 2008 when I was 9), I'm very thrilled about the whole thing
unlabelledView post →It's unclear if Boll was allowed to do that, but it happened. The filmmaker for Wonder Boy definitely did not have the rights to put their Street Fighter II fan film on the DVD, but they did that anyway.
unlabelledView post →TRIVIA: According to animator Akira Yasuda, the video game series ‘Street Fighter II’ was directly influenced by ‘Hard Times’. Plot elements and settings were directly copied from the film… which was titled ‘The Streetfighter’ when released in Japan. (Time Extension) 🖤

unlabelledView post →I’ve been there day one for like 99% of Resident Evil things since the late 90s and imo the leaked script is Street Fighter II Anime-level, the finished movie will likely be the best videogame to live action film adaptation to exist anytime soon
unlabelledView post →At the end of the Street Fighter movie from 1994, in the final shot of the film, the heroes recreate their winning poses from the Street Fighter II video games. Who does it best?
unlabelledView post →70. Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994 Film) It feels like the ideal adaptation of SF2 into a non-interactive medium and I'm a sucker for it's art style, I love that mid-to-late 90's anime style. Helps the dub is full of licensed butt rock and really cheesy voice delivery.
unlabelledView post →Agreed. I would happily fight in a fierce battle with each Netflix executive, akin to Street Fighter II, to make them to pay.
unlabelledView post →TRIVIA: The film is not a prequel or sequel to either 'Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie' (1994) or the anime series 'Street Fighter II V' (1995), but an independent installment, although a handful of voice actors from previous adaptations reprised their roles for the English dub. (IMDB) 🖤
unlabelledView post →So I decided to test my audio editing skills. I took a clip from the James Bond film Spectre and replaced all the audio with Street Fighter II Turbo sounds from the SNES. The gunshots were taken from Half-Life: Counter Strike.

unlabelledView post →It's so curious to me that there are multiple trailers for this movie and not one of them even attempt to recreate a single song from Street Fighter II, a game that has maybe the most recognizable video game soundtrack on the planet. But thank GOD I get to hear the bit crushed announcer.

He later directed Night on the Galactic Railroad and Street Fighter II, but I’m dying to see his rarely screened 1973 film about life insurance. x.com/doctoruwatso...

For a film that was shot in 1991, I'm surprised that it didn't feature Street Fighter II. Spot the continuity error because that footage is from the one-player mode. 😉 🎮

unlabelledView post →Street Fighter II was my absolute jam back in the day on the Super Nintendo. The only fighting game I've ever been good at. The movie appears to draw heavily from that game in particular, based on character designs and set pieces like the car.
unlabelledView post →What makes this episode extra insane is that the insert theme is the same one made for the Street Fighter II animated movie. I stood up and clapped.
unlabelledView post →This episode pairs incredibly well with the Street Fighter: The Movie tie-in game chapter in Matt Leone’s Like a Hurricane: An Unofficial Oral History of Street Fighter II (itself a hold-over from Vox-era Polygon). Spoilers: Van Damme proved a handful for the game devs, too.

unlabelledView post →This duel is perfectly paced given that it's the final fight of CAPCOM THE MOVIE: Street Fighter II, as it was the proper medium since it was purely made for the animated film. Very different from a fight being adapted from a manga, choereography and all.

unlabelledView post →What to get into a Street Fighter rabbit hole. So before the live-action film came out, there was an anime film which is more truer to the text in Japan (US release in 1995, very censored) which is called Street Fighter II because of the game and ends with a title card promoting the JCVD film.

unlabelledView post →Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994) Pretty damn good, but how dare they present me with moe Chun-Li and not give her all of the screen time. They had the courtesy to give her the best fight scene at least.
