Stranger things: tales from ‘85
Directed by Eric Robles, JJ Conway, Sarah Jean Partington
In the winter of 1985, snow blankets the town and the horrors of the Upside Down are finally fading. Our heroes Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max have settled back into a normal life of D&D, snowball fights, and quiet days. But beneath the ice, something terrifying has awakened. A special limited theatrical screening of the first two episodes. From TMDB

neutral · AI labelView post →Watching STRANGER THINGS, and I honestly can't tell if I like this show still or not. The long wait has dulled my memory of things, and the 'Every Episode a Movie' format makes them so bloated, long, and meandering. These 'kids' are all obviously adults now. Fuck do I love David Harbor, tho...

neutral · AI labelView post →A quick note re: the STRANGER THINGS ending... If you put a 30-minute epilogue on a 2-hour movie, that's too much epilogue. If you put a 30-minute epilogue on (math math math) 40+ hours of serial TV, that might be enough. The final episode of STRANGER THINGS is not a 2-hour movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →I dunno, I still think the STRANGER THINGS cast could pass for high school students in an '80s movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →The conclusion of Stranger Things may be perfectly good (we’ve only just started it) but two hours eight minutes isn’t an ‘episode’. That’s a movie, and not even a short movie. I’m tired of streaming as an excuse for lazy film-making.

The cast are great, and Sadie Sink was my favourite part of Stranger Things, so I was delighted to see her in *that* part. She deserves it.
