unlabelledView post →Gamers in Indonesia recently noticed that Call of Duty had a 3+ age rating on Steam, Story of Seasons was rated 18+, and Grand Theft Auto V had been refused a classification altogether. The Indonesia Game Rating System has been confusing for gamers and devs. Here's everything you need to know:
unlabelledView post →If you buy this game then never talk to Lovett because if you do he will show up to your house at some point and after the cutscene with him you will be stuck on a black screen and can't play the game anymore...the devs never bothered to fix this game breaking bug. Which is sad because despite its flaws it is a fun game. :( Also apparently this game isn't optimised for Windows 11 (which is what I have.)

unlabelledView post →The short answer is: Play Stardew Valley instead. The long answer is... long. This is not a good game, by any stretch of the imagination. This is the cozy "farm simulation" genre, but at its absolute minimum. This game exists only to waste your time. It will not challenge you, it will not entertain you. That is not what it exists for. There is a "story" in the game, but you'd not know it while playing. It consists of, randomly, being given a task to improve the town. That's it. You…

unlabelledView post →one of the cutest farming games ive played in a while, had such a good time with this one!! you can build and customize your own farm from scratch, grow crops, take care of animals, explore different areas and collect all kinds of materials to craft new things and improve your little farm. I really liked how theres always something to work towards, with new areas and activities to unlock as you progress, while still keeping that relaxing and casual feeling. its a really charming game with lots…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the first story of seasons/harvest moon game I ever played and I must say it didn’t give me the best impression. If you have played stardew valley or animal crossing you’ll be right at home. Sadly, this entry in the long running franchise feels half-baked and has some truly questionable decisions that make the whole experience that more painful. It’s fun up until the point where you fully renovate the town, then it becomes a mind-numbing grind. I love getting up in the morning,…

I wondered how a game about farm life would be interesting. But man it was. I have bought many, many Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games since.

unlabelledView post →A shame that Tamori's original Popolocrois manga never saw an official English release before his passing... Wait... it did?! As a web-only offering by XSeed to help promote the Story of Seasons' crossover game for the 3DS back in 2016?!?!?! And only for the first volume?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
unlabelledView post →Random Game Saturday. The first game I ever did localization on. Also an excellent Story of Seasons game.
unlabelledView post →Theres no mixed review button here. or i would give one. i had a yes and a no, but in honest, it is mixed. yes i like cozy games and this is cute but ..for a game thats been out since 2021 it should really be less clumsy...storage is awkward, cooking is an actual nightmare. you have to do it one by one and wow its time consuming. all in all it feels like it should be early access but it isnt and they dont seem interested in fixing issues.

unlabelledView post →Now that I've finally gotten every achievement, I think it's probably time to throw my two cents in. PoOT isn't a bad game, it just feels like filler when compared to Another Wonderful Life or Friends from Mineral Town. If you are VERY new to farming games and are looking for a low barrier to entry, this one really isn't bad, though I should put about five asterisks next to my thumbs up because unfortunately, it comes with stipulations. PoOT's story is very basic; you move to your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are really weird both with controller and keyboard, the overall design is unimaginative, sterile and bland and gives off the vibe of a facebook game rather than a game which costs this much. Thinking how great Animal Parade was on the Wii makes me dislike this game more, and AP came out in 2008. So how does this game look worse? Don't get me started on the bloated cows.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played the original Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, I found that Pioneers of Olive Town represents a true evolution of the series. I invested over 410 hours into the game, unlocked all achievements, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I loved the new mechanics, such as skill leveling, crafting, and collecting. Renovating buildings and designing the farm provided a great sense of creativity and progress. Compared to Friends of Mineral Town, Pioneers introduces much…
