Mostly, I just use it to spend about an hour in the evening after work—doing small campaigns or larger ones (the so-called “General” campaigns), and occasionally playing skirmishes against AI. The following feedback is about single-player only. The variety of units is great, with plenty of vehicles from different periods of the war. It's one of the games where you have to micromanage 450 things a second over the whole map, if you look into the wrong spot for 10 seconds, you may come back to your core units and find they have been decimated already. Since the multiplayer is almost dead, do not buy it unless you want to play against each other with friends of yours. However, the coop is great and all the scenarios and operations/campaigns can be played together. Just for that I can recommend the game. Also, there are a lot of diverse divisions coming from some other fronts like Normandy, so one should find something they may like : )

It can maybe seem a little daunting to get into, because the game doesn't explain every detail perfectly. The units are far too slow, there is no option to change game speed (there is but the faster setting is too fast) , enemy artillery has far better accuracy then my own and the AI is very much propped up by RNGesus. at certain points it gets ridiculous. where an enemy AT gun that should barely penetrate the armor of my tanks takes 3 tanks out with one shot each.....my tanks are firing constantly at this AT gun and do not even manage to supress it.

Super fun even playing against Ai. Really wish there was more representation of western front battles and africa, other than divisions that is. I play this on a potato of a laptop and runs great on minimum graphics. The general gamemode is a bit confusing but still loads of fun, great units, great tutorials, cool weapons/divisions. I prefer pulse war games so I'm still getting used to playing with a continuous clock by using the solo modes. You have a fully fletched out game, and the DLC/addons you buy only adds onto the game. If you really like it you can extend its longevity by buying rhem, but it’s not needed and it doesn’t overwhelm new players.
