State of Fear (Salve Geral: Irmandade) (2026) Strong, intense film from Brazil that keeps you on edge from beginning to end. Amazing opening scene with the one continuous shot style and sticking to it. It is only at the ending it weakens slightly to be a bit forced. 8/10

Did you really like or despise the 2022 French movie ATHENA? If so, I'd love to know what you think about the Brazilian film STATE OF FEAR now streaming on Netflix! Is it much better? Way worse? Are they even cut from the same cloth at all or am I comparing epaulets + inseams?

I gave up reading before bed long ago and decided to give it another shot. Found a Michael Crichton novel at the library book sale, "State of Fear," that I didn't know. Loved his earlier stuff so why not? Because it sucked. Horrible trash. Like watching a bad movie, which I refuse to do too.
