negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat the game in less than 3 hours. New runs offered nothing new apart from increased difficulty and no new mechanics. Too simple. Pass...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much game here if you aren't overly fond of seeing slots spin. The mechanics aren't very interesting and there's not much to do other than stare at the screen while the wheels spin.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much luck based, felt like i was playing real casino, but.. This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.

Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro Spin Hero is a slot autobattler game where you need to spin slots to gain damage and armor to kill the enemies. It offers 5 stages with a boss fight at the end of each. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The premise could be fun, but with almost zero input from the player, and the inability to save mid run, it almost an idle game disguised as a roguelike. Not fun as a roguelike, not idle like an idle game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly boring and dull. After like 4 mins, you would get the drift and never want to play this again. Can't believe humble bundle gave me ♥♥♥♥ like this, <번역> 진짜 조온나게 재미없고 지겹다. 4분만에 영원히 하고 싶지 않게 만드는 겜. 험블번들이 이딴 겜을 주다니 참 여기도 한물 갔구나
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels unfinished. The game has glaring balance issues. On top of the fact that the symbol pool is quite modest, a significant part of it practically useless. On the other hand, a few of them are basically auto-win, and they're pretty easy to find by force, due to reroll tokens being overabundant, shop rerolls being really cheap, and a couple other things. There isn't much variety in the builds you can go for, and similarly, enemies basically all act the same. Some of them are more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this a part of a bundle, it was small in size so I downloaded it while waiting for other things to come down. It initially had some appeal as unlocks came frequently and progression was easy. Then it showed its' character, a shallow mobile game with drawn out mechanics. I have played it more than I should have. Now I only play it in speedrun mode while waiting 10 min for something else. Better games out there if your paying for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had to go do something, so I quit the game. Came back and my progress was gone. Who doesn't have a save & quit -> continue mechanism in a game made in the 2020s?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YES and NO. It took me 44+ hours to 100% achievements. YES: If you use two monitors and if you have many hours of video to watch on YT, you can play this game casually as a second monitor game. NO: If you don't have such a setup above, this isn't a game that worth your time and focus. There are many flaws with balance and very much lacking variety of items and builds. This is truly a gambling game at it's core than a deckbuilder, you either get lucky with the items or not.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this on Humble, but would still not recommend. The synergies are generally tied to one item and a couple builds. Makes for very repetitive runs with almost no variety. No build variety = no replay value to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The RNG makes you feel like everything you do doesn't matter. I could select something different and have the same outcome or I could pick the same thing and the outcome was radically different. Or even worse: all of the stats might not matter BECAUSE you're at the mercy of RNG. So, you couldn't have a common strategy because the outcome was always different. And since the core gameplay could be replaced by selecting the auto-spin, the only thing left in the game are the decisions to move…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't save mid run. This alone disqualifies the game for me - played for 1.5 stages before going to bed just to be told my progress won't be kept and I have to restart from the beginning. Without even getting any unlocks for it. Plenty of other games that respect your time to play instead of this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's really like 1-2 or viable builds per character. The gameplay is quite simple (literally auto spin slots). It mainly consists of finding items for better survivability in the first/second stages, then stabilizing and ramping up by grabbing items that are best for the character. Not much variety to work with after you figure out which builds actually win the runs. So if you tried some other build, you'll just fail.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel bad about this, as I can tell a lot of love went into making Spin Hero.... but it's just not fun. Everything works, but I didn't get even a moment of enjoyment or any feeling at all playing this, besides boredom.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like Balatro, plays like a loading screen. Boring loop, bad Deck support, no payoff. Pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If there was a neutral recommendation I would put it here. But in it's current state, it is a very rudimentary gambling roguelite. It has a very low floor and also a low ceiling. The game heavily prioritizes survivalbility and then has a couple of damage check events. There are certain themes that are not fully realized and combining engines and pivioting that are unrelated to survivability does not work very well. There is potential here, but the slots do not work well together. though I do…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely raw. This is a D+ to C- assignment you rushed out the night before handing it in. The kind where the teacher doesn't even look at you when they hand it back because both of you know you didn't actually try and are just doing it because you have to. Derivative and low-effort. Nothing creative or well-executed. No flair or personality. Doesn't try to include a story or world-building. Just passionless.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start by saying that if you are looking for a game to play, this is not for you. You don't play Spin Hero, you just kind of have it sitting in the corner while you are watching a video or listening to a podcast. I bought it in a bundle for a third of it's original price, which I think is roughly the price I would've been willing to pay for it anyway, because it does not worth 8 euros/dollars. It's janky, it's clunky, it's extremely unbalanced with essentially zero way to influence how…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is fun, but gets repetitive rather quickly and my account already got wiped after only 3h of playing. There are a lot of issues with crashing on both windows and Linux with any Proton Versions as well.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game suffers from tragically slow pacing. The slot part isn't really that cool, so it basically boils down to you clicking "spin" over and over. You do get to pick the items that appear in your slot machine wheel, but this part isn't really that diverse or interesting. Game is fine as something to idly do or keep on a side monitor. This game has a cool premise that I think if done right could be balatro level fun. However, this game ignores all the things that could make it cool and only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spin Hero is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is basically a complete ripoff of Slay the Spire only with pixelcrap graphics because the mobile devs behind this weren't capable of any better. Anyway it's unfair to call it a complete ripoff, the CCG elements of Slay the Spire were also too complicated for the mobile devs, so they slapped in a nonsensical poker machine mechanic instead.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, I'll be honest - I went into this expecting complete and utter rubbish. Another slot-machine roguelike trying to nick ideas from Luck Be a Landlord? Brilliant. Just what we need. But here's the thing: it's actually... good? I know. I'm as shocked as you are. It's basically a deck-builder, innit? Except instead of drawing one sad little card, you're pulling 20 at once like some kind of degenerate gambler at a seaside arcade. And you can manage your deck size, which - fair play - adds more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is another gambler game, and they're hoping that you'll feel the dopamine rush from watching the RNG take place with very little input from you. You "spin" the wheels like a bad slot machine, and depending on what items pop up, you get some damage in three different categories, and some armor points or healing. The problem is that there are swords that apparently lose damage over time, there are bows that are pretty useless without arrows (and the arrows have to be adjacent to the bow…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Auto Spin | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW It's a mobile game ported to PC. The idea could work: you get items (weapons, armors, accessories, etc.) and randomize their use. Gameplay is too shallow, you end up just filling only your 20 available spaces and replacing your starting items with better ones. I finished the game easily with the third character (Baldwin) doing 550+ damage per round in less than 2 hours. No joypad support - lazy developers. Best played with mouse Recommended buy price: 3$…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was surprisingly fun. It feels more like a deck-builder than anything else. Instead of drawing a single card you draw 20. You can manage the size of your deck. It has a few things that could have been done much better, but all in all it was a brilliant find. Pros: -Interesting interactions between symbols (card equivalent) -Several viable builds to winning -Intricate choices in building mixed with luck of the draw different quality symbols that can make or break you. -Simple to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels unfinished and clunky in many aspects. Fun idea and potential. A nice selection of items, but its very easy to fall into a groove of keeping 20 items that work well and just running it through over and over. Characters feel different which is a positive but would have been nice if they adjusted the pool a bit.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Low engagement auto-playing draw bag dressed up like a slot machine. Problem with draft styled games is, once you understand interactions and realize how cheap rerolls are (hi God of Weapons, fancy meeting you here) you can just build a wombo-combo and keep it to the exact size you need for the game. And "symbol removal" helps push that along greatly. So it looks like a slot machine, 'feels' like a slot machine, but mechanically you're drawing a random 20 tokens from a bag and seeing what…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was offered a game key the other day for one called Spin Hero. Looks like it is a dungeon crawler... but with slot machine mechanics? Could be fun! Low energy/slightly unwell today so may be a shorter stream! www.twitch.tv/CamronJK #goinglive #furry #vtuber #streamdev
unlabelledView post →This game is only fun until you max out the levels of each character... After that the achievements set a road map to success that is mostly based on RNG (along with picking and removing items properly). You can be very precise with the latter and still lose based on randomness. I wouldn't recommend this to others.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The item pool isn't deep enough or strategic enough to make much of the extremely simple gameplay and there is basically nothing to do between turns, you can't change much, but it doesn't like...auto run through until the battle is over like an auto-battler, you have to click each turn like theres something to be done. Truly a weird experience, like another reviewer said - its in a very awkward middle ground between an actual deckbuilder and an auto-battler and it doesn't seem to have chosen…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like someone mashed a slot machine into a roguelike and hoped randomness would make the game for them. You spin, stuff happens, numbers go up or don’t and half the time it feels like you are watching the game play itself instead of actually.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unlocks are virtually nonexistent and higher difficulties are just bigger numbers for the most part. this means this game has no long term replay value and in the short term the build variety and enemy variety are tiny. Fine enough to play it for a few hours and never touch it again. Even in the hyperspecific genre of slotmachine roguelikes this fails to stand out, completely sauceless.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not all that much content
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is bland and the synergy never happen. If you got one item in the synergy, it almost gurrantee that the other items in the synergy would not show up
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cool little deckbuilding game to play while listening to podcasts or youtube videos. The gameplay doesn't require much of your attention while still being engaging. Just wish it was more complex- the fact that the playfield is a slot machine is barely utilized - I was shocked to discover that there are no mechanics around getting full rows of identical symbols and your symbol positioning barely matters. Still, the synergies between items are cool enough to continue playing, and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It does what it says. But what it says is boring. You just press the "Spin" button and update your "deck" sometimes. Meh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No saves mid-run, runs take 20-50 mins depending on how many fights you pick (diagonal map movements give +1 fight basically), heavily RNG dependent, very 1-dimensional (stack block, figure out dmg afterwards you'll basically never lose except against bleed maybe). There's just not enough content here to warrant a positive review, as well as for a couple other reasons: tooltips are buggy and will often show info of other UI elements that shifted over during stage progression for some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've spun. I've won. All while watching youtube. Stack armor.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like the creators had an idea for a game and just fit it together quickly to try and score on it. No tutorial Very repetitive Dull mechanics (while they don't have to be. Luck be a landlord used similar mechanics to great success) Dull item sets Just... very bland and not much to it.. while it could have been good. Just get a better game, not one that seems to have been abondened and just put minimum effort in... except the graphics. Those are the reason I went for the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like to spin to win, this game is for you. Of course, just like any slot machine you'll lose a lot more than you win. That's half the fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guess the name says it all...never played a game that more accurately captures the torture of playing a slot machine. Just spam that "spin" button over and over again waiting to see what weird luck you get.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was difficult at first but once I started understanding the different synergies it became super fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended (Surprisingly Fun Deck-Building Chaos) I wasn’t expecting much from this one, but somehow it snuck up and delivered a pretty enjoyable deck-building experience. Think of it like a traditional card game… except instead of drawing a single card, you draw 20. And yes, you get to manage your deck size, which adds a surprising layer of strategy. Pros: Interesting interactions between symbols (or “cards,” if you prefer). Multiple viable paths to victory — no single meta dominating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Balancing is ****
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this as part of the recent humble choice. I remember seeing videos of people playing this and thought it looked fun. Turns out, it's not that fun. When I lose, it feels cheap. Take the third stage for example: I consistently ran into problem on this and a big part of that is that what you get is just pure luck. The boss, after the first few rounds, buffs himself and starts doing 115 damage. And repeatedly I tried to get armor through the third stage knowing full well what was in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game via Humble Choice, and it's a neat little game, I have yet to complete a run, as I ALWAYS get wiped out on or before the final boss of stage 3. It does feel a bit like the scaling jumps significantly, and I'm still getting flooded with Linen Caps or Small bucklers when I need to either have constant Armor of ~52+ to avoid damage. Baldwin and Alaric are the most consistent to get to final boss of 3, but I still usually keel over halfway through the 3rd map on the Genies. I do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty random, no feeling of control, not much incentive to continuie to play after a few runs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good distraction for the price, but the game is cheaper on mobile (android) and is obviously designed for the phone. PC has some bugs and glitches; Lock Picking which is a core skill for one of the character doesn't work. The fact it's a core part of the game and still unfixed after a year... says everything. Would still recommend if it was <5 bucks as it's a good time waster, especially on the Steam Deck
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it from Humble Choice, it's impressive how boring it actually is, you don't even pay attention to the slot machine part of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is quick auto battler with deckbuilding. You basically just spin every turn which reflects in physical, agility and magical attack. You can also deal damage over time. You can destroy your collected symbols in favor of stronger ones because you have limited space which counts towards all your outgoing damage and passives. There are three heroes. The first hero focuses on Defense and Magic, second hero focuses on Gold and Agility, the fourth is high damage dealer and gains damage after kill,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Takes the standard roguelike formula and then takes the gameplay factor out of it. If you specifically like thinking up builds then this might be the game for you. Didn't play for very long so can't speak to the depth of the game, but the core gameplay mechanic is built around slots, aka you hit spin and then wait, and hit spin again, rinse and repeat. Feels like a game that tried to capitalize on the hype of Balatro but didn't go the full mile If you REALLY like playing slots in the casino,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would say this game is worth a few bucks at most, not the current asking price. There's just not enough here. One thing you expect with a game like this is unlocking more items for future runs, but that doesn't exist. There's no save system so you either have to play a run to completion or abandon it. You do unlock different heroes and perks, but that doesn't really mean much when the gameplay itself is so bland. The actual mechanics are barebones; You never really have to make decisions.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Barely constitutes an idle game that just throws you into it without much explanation. Can literally set everything to auto besides picking which map icon or reward.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of an "idle" game if anything else. You don't actually DO anything in this game. You just amass items and decide which ones to keep and lose. By the end of chapter 3, the boss just hits you for a casual 100+ damage (more than your health total), while having like 1,500 HP himself. I did 2 runs, and I could confidently get like 250 attack each spin and about 60 to 80 armor. Full health to dead in 4 spins. You're looking for synergies, you're trying to keep your "deck" slim enough to not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🕹️ Gameplay: ⭐⭐⭐ 📖 Story: ⭐⭐ 🎨 Visuals: ⭐⭐⭐ 🎵 Music: ⭐⭐⭐ 🔄 Replayability: ⭐⭐ ❤️ Enjoyment: ⭐⭐⭐ I had a pretty good time with Spin Hero. The gameplay loop is satisfying and I liked trying out different builds to see what worked best. There is enough variety to keep things interesting, but the game also does not overstay its welcome. The story is nothing special and is basically standard RPG stuff about heroes fighting enemies and bosses. The pixel art is fine and fits the game, but it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent, but very barebones slot machine game. Would have loved to see updates/additions to the game because there is definitely a lot of room to improve on this base but for the price, especially during a sale it is more than enough. Also, to the developer: If you are planning to have audio mute on unfocus, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this a setting, especially for a great second monitor game like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luck Be a Landlord, but combat based. Was quite okay.
