Sphere
A spacecraft is discovered at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, presumed to be at least 300 years old and of alien origin. A crack team of scientists and experts is assembled and taken to the ocean floor to investigate. However, the ship is not as it seems and when a giant perfect sphere is discovered in the cargo bay, things begin to fall apart. From TMDB

And this bastardization is being done w/ the full support of Warner Bros Discovery. www.theverge.com/news/645815/... #FilmSky #TCMParty

unlabelledView post →I'm sorry, @benmank77.bsky.social, but I don't get why that Sphere version of WIZARD OF OZ is a "good" thing. Creating AI versions of actors in the film and radically altering the original images feels like a sin to me. I'm sure it's impressive, but it's artistically offensive.

unlabelledView post →Aronofsky made a short film for The Sphere about how we’re destroying the planet and followed that up by using something everyone agrees is draining resources from the planet. Maybe he didn’t watch his own “movie.”
