Went for some real radical 90s colours inspired by @elkowalczuk.bsky.social’s art and tried a dash of 5 o’clock shadow to try something new! Hopefully this baddie isn’t the start of something! #nidvember

unlabelledView post →Space Hulk: Deathwing - Enhanced Edition takes one of Warhammer 40,000's most iconic concepts and places players inside Terminator Armour while fighting through a Space Hulk overrun by Tyranids. On paper, it's an excellent idea. In practice, however, I constantly felt that the gameplay never fully evolved enough to take advantage of its own concept. Visually, the game looks good and remains faithful to the Warhammer 40,000 universe. However, graphics alone have never been enough for me to…

The scenario was from John Lambshead’s Sci-Fi Skirmish Scenarios📘 The board is a recreation of Space Hulk that I made years ago…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this game. I am doing a Warhammer-A-Thon, and this was the game I was the third most excited for. I feel so dumb. Getting the good stuff out of the way first. The art direction and everything visual is top-notch; there is not an inch without dozens of details crammed in. It is incredible. The gameplay can also be fun here and there. That is all good that there is, otherwise the game is hellbent on wasting your time with mechanics that are utterly useless, boring combat with…

unlabelledView post →I really enjoy this game but it has false advertising, it tries to play it off as you can customize your character like space marine 2, ( i know this game comes before), its specifically says, "customize everything". yet thats false, you get like 7-11 full body skins per character, no custom helmets or gear at all. They specifically zoomed in on the trailer and chose certain skins to make it feel like you had the freedom to choose your specific color, helmet, hood, shoulders, ect.. Thats just a…

unlabelledView post →The intensely good Warhammer 40k pixel art of Space Hulk (1993). Space Hulk is, to date, one of the greatest - and most unpleasant - adaptations of a board game to a video game format. A 🧵
unlabelledView post →The newest Space Hulk Terminators are probably the coolest Marine poses ever. I put mine on @fenrisgames.com bases, which are not exactly practical for the game, but just look great.
unlabelledView post →No, the game is not bad at all. In my opinion, it is one of the best representations of what it would actually feel like to be part of a Terminator squad exploring a Space Hulk infested with Tyranid Genestealers in search of a possible relic from ages long past. The game feels lore-accurate and wonderfully grim. The visuals do an excellent job of conveying the horrors that exist within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and the cathedral-like aesthetic that runs throughout the Space Hulk is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The singleplayer is a frustrating and unbalanced experience. You play with two ai companions, who are next to useless as they can't recover health on their own and will die extremely quickly unless you specifically order the medic to heal them using one of his limited medkits. Which ofcourse also has a cooldown. Quick deaths also apply to the player, as even if you are standing next to the medic and ordering him to spam heals on you, it's sometimes not enough to outpace the damage, and you…

unlabelledView post →WOW. This game is so misunderstood, but what else would you expect from the same devs that brought you E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy? - The game is marketed as an FPS, and at the surface level, it is. But why is it so slow and clunky and why am I so tanky? Why is my Heal ability only usable through a squad mate, and why are there so many RPG elements like hacking, breaking / blocking doors, and squad positioning? then it hits you... It's not a L4D clone! THIS IS A TACTICAL SHOOTER with an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Idk when/why/how everyone got into Warhammer, presumably by painting lil guys in lockdown. But for me, this is the entirety of Warhammer's existence right here. 32-bit Space Hulk and the PSP port of that tactics game from RedLynx, the people what made the Trials games.
unlabelledView post →The squad speech is neat (and much better than the DOS version of the OG Space Hulk game), and the texture-mapped graphics and meaty audio are great, but I still have more of a fondness for that original game for DOS/Amiga.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is amazing to play in co-op even today. It's very punishing, but it is enjoyable, especially once you learn how to play classes and finding a class that works best for your style of play. For solo play, it's somewhat tedious, though practical to command the other soldiers in your unit. If you've never played a Warhammer games, this one can be somewhat discouraging, especially for solo players just dipping their toes into Warhammer 40K.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →beautifully designed maps and atmosphere, horrendous gameplay riddled with bugs, bad game design, clunky controls and incompetent AI. it will not get better the longer you play it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: This CAN be a fun game, but it tends to be fun despite its mechanics, not thanks to them. There's something about being a walking tank and shooting infinite ammo down a tiny corridor with waves of aliens coming at you that can be satisfying. But apart from that, the game doesn't manage to deliver on many other important fronts. Vermintide 2 or Deep Rock Galactic are much better options. Story: As a *Librarian*, explore the Space Hulk (this thing puts the Ishimura to shame) that's just…

Remember taking these on when I first began commission work and very wet behind the ears - nearly did me in! Learnt a a lot about pricing GW work since then. Always happy to consider.

unlabelledView post →I've found this game incredibly enjoyable, as it plunges me deep into the horrors of Warhammer 40,000. The game is incredibly immersive making you feel as if you were a Terminator, battling against a horde of xenos. The quality of this game is commendable, it could do with some slight improvements here and there, otherwise the game is all smooth sailing. 8/10 - would recommend to anyone who wants to start getting into Warhammer 40,000 gives you the sense of 'All Hope is Gone', but it is an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enemies don't stop spawning during cut scenes. Finally made it to the end of the first mission and was killed while watching an unskippable cinematic. I thought I was a big enough warhammer nerd to tough out what I read in the other reviews, I was not. My faith in the emperor has wavered and I now serve in a penal battalion as penance. God emperor witness me as I fight to retake Atoma Prime .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't try the multiplayer, but single player campaign on normal was just bad. No difficulty curve, nothing was overly complex, it's just never-ending genestealers and absolutely useless teammates. Kept getting party wiped on mission 2, which makes it sound like I'm just bad at the game (and maybe I am). But I told my guys to defend me in a narrow hallway while I hacked a turret nearby and I would get knocked out of the hack right at the finish line because the two hulking morons blocking the…

And now I'm pondering a Space Hulk Necromunda mashup, where you play tribes of survivors from the various wrecks in the Hulk, battling for survival...
unlabelledView post →I have these two well loved versions of SPACE HULK board game and this rad PS1 SPACE HULK video game. Sadly I didn't know about Star Quest Space Crusade or Tyranid Attack as they were only released in Europe. I found Warhammer 40K before I got Space Hulk, but found HeroQuest before Warhammer Fantasy
unlabelledView post →I had a dream about a game where you played a Mynah and had the armour rating and everything. It was a rogue-like, where any damage you took was permanent, but you had a massive health pool. It sort of played like a Space Hulk game with corrupted Replika.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On plus: Atmosphere on the levels On minus: Very poor combat - awful, "dry" bolter gunshot sounds, poor recoil animations, amateruish genestealers dying animations, tragically bad melee. There is just no weight to all of that. Cardboard weapons shooting cardboard enemies. Boring, repetetive, just shooting masses and masses of cardboard dumb enemies. I know it is supposed to be like L4D or Vermintide type of game, but it's just badly designed and executed, in comparison.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And, frankly, after SPACE HULK (great game) and LOST PATROL (no comnent), I never need to paint another Genestealer again!
unlabelledView post →More 2nd Ed Space Hulk at the club tonight. Played a defend mission, stopping Genestealers damaging a duct room. 1st attempt,Terminators destroyed everything often with a powerfist to the face! My go was a disaster, just a sergeant holding the duct room against a wave of stealers - game over 🫣
unlabelledView post →The game looked good but the game play is slow and uninteresting to me. I get it, you're supposed to be slow but this is just unbearable and using your sword feels so light on impact. Also, if you die once, you'll have to restart the WHOLE level from the start.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space Hulk Librarian. Beyond criminal making it a limited run game. Packed with solid gold sculpts
unlabelledView post →single player is frustrating and multiplayer is slightly less frustrating. Shooting and melee doesnt feel very good either.

It's based on Warhammer 40k which I find facinating. I have not really dug deep into the lore tons of factions with backgrounds ect ect. (very few involved with this game) 2. Graphics were okay. 3. Had a storyline with characters that talk. 4. Epic waves of monsters some fun spells, guns, melee weapons. 5. I enjoyed some of the visual aspects of the game kind of some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Warhammer 40k game! The maps are complex and difficult to learn. The solo campaign i never played but in coop you get real satisfaction...Fighting hundreds of Xenos in a Terminator Armor with big guns is Amazing, After 100 Hours of playing you know what i mean!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My dream 40k skirmish game is Space Hulk. Wait, let me explain. It's a Necromunda gang level game set on a Space Hulk. Gangs include Orks, Tyrannids, GS Cults, Chaos Cults and for some reason Chaos Androids. The Gangs need to survive each other and random Space Marine assault parties.
