Meh. 3) Realizes it is an AI "trailer." Now I'm high-key annoyed. 4) Possibility of a Sleeping Dogs movie with different lead? Hope?
unlabelledView post →Watched 'Sleeping Dogs' (1977) on TVNZ+. Spent the whole film worrying about the poor dog left all by herself on the island. Also I completely failed to suspend disbelief enough to buy that the resistance would be so overwhelmingly pākehā.
unlabelledView post →Hearing the news that the Sleeping Dogs film has been cancelled reminded me that I actually talked about that proposed adaptation almost seven years ago now, and why you probably wouldn't have wanted it anyway. Always had a soft spot for this video. Sleeping Dogs is one of the best games ever made.

unlabelledView post →It's always strange when talk of this keeps coming up. Sleeping Dogs isn't some kind of franchise, it's a single game that did okay and never got a sequel. I guess Hollywood can only make a kung fu movie if it has some IP attached. Even if the IP is completely worthless.
unlabelledView post →in a slightly better universe nobody would've ever suggested a Sleeping Dogs movie and by now we instead got like five more barely related video games that each rip off a slightly different slice of HK action cinema

unlabelledView post →So Sleeping Dogs movie is gonna happen after all since Simu Liu stepped in to push for it. Speaking of that,People forget that Sleeping Dogs was made by the same developers of the True Crimes games. We seriously need a remake/remaster of those games. Sleeping Dogs game however just needs a sequel.
