Normally when I do a fighting game character on here, I'll draw the alt palette I pick for them; I always pick default G.o.E's. She's perfect how she is.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slap City is by far one of the most creative, original and authentic "Smash-like games" out there, from its design that conveys so much personality to the story of each of the characters What stands out the most is its gameplay, it is very adaptable for both casual and competitive people, each character has unique abilities and gameplay, they really feel unique even with very, very unique mechanics The game modes are quite a few, it's hard not to find something to do in this game, from the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the most underrated game in the platfighter genre. by far. Feels amazing with such cool characters and clutch button and I like goddess of explosions

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, interesting characters, it doesn't feel finished though. It's quite rough around the edges and the single player content is very disappointing for me as this game's idea of increased difficulty is simply making things unfair. Which, I will admit, IS harder, but not the difficulty I enjoy. But honestly who really comes to platform fighters for the single player?? Anyway, play the game, I like the big robot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS IS THE MOST FUN IVE EVER HAD PLAYING A PLATFORM FIGHTER I PROMISE!!!!!! PLEASE PLAY THIS!!!!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is by far the best platform fighter I've ever played, the movement is so fluid and fast paced. All of the characters are interesting and (most) are fun to play against! Whenever I play another platform fighter they feel so off and or so slow. The story mode is a hoot and its a shame how this game died so utterly, its been long dead, if you want to play it you have to hunt down the few active players, most of which are way too good at it anyhow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally got Fraymakers cause Among Us, promising new content this year, and honestly mostly because of the Slap City main theme remix in the game, really wanted to fight to that♥️And yeah, game's nice! Definitely early access, looking forward to results screens, but easy to pick up and play!

It just FEELS good to play, every character also brings a different archetype and mechanics to the table that manage to make each of them feel very standout. There's also so many stages and so much technical depth that it really does feel like a game for everyone, which many smash-like games seem to usually lack.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Time of review says 4 hours, but it's closer to 100 if you count local at a friends house. Better than Smash Ultimate. Better than Rivals of Aether (1 and 2). Better than Fraymakers. Better than Smash Melee. You'd be hard pressed to find a better and more fun plat fighter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me this game is a perfect happy medium between a satisfying, technical platform fighter with tight controls while also being incredibly silly. I'm not sure if it's a balanced game, but I don't think it's supposed to be. it's just fun. idk.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so good that it actually had me excited for Nintendo All Star Brawl at one point.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slap City Review: The Ultimate Indie Brawler Hey there, fellow gamers! I recently got my hands on a little gem called Slap City, and let me tell you, it's an absolute blast. This indie fighter has taken inspiration from the legendary Super Smash Bros. series and managed to create something truly special. From the moment I laid eyes on Slap City, it had my attention. The colorful, vibrant art style immediately draws you in, and it's home to a quirky cast of characters, some of which you might…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First game I fired up today was Ittle Dew. Indie Zelda clone from the devs of Slap City and Nickelodeon All Star Brawl. There is exactly one reason why I know about this game…it was the game being played by the only person I’ve ever met who owned an Ouya. Remember that thing?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slap City is a spirited and finely tuned platform fighter developed and published by Ludosity, the same creative studio behind titles like Ittle Dew and Card City Nights. It takes the chaotic, skill-based formula popularized by games like Super Smash Bros. and filters it through the developer’s trademark humor, distinct art style, and mechanical precision. What begins as a cartoonish brawl between an eccentric cast of characters quickly reveals itself to be a surprisingly deep and competitive…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's good but needs rollback netcode
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has a better singleplayer mode than Multiversus
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deserves to come back after the failure of Multversus and Nicktoons brawl. The graphics might turn some people off but underneath is a game with a lot of polish and humor.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly my favorite platform fighter as a long time player of other titles in the genre. Nothing really scratches the itch like Slap City does. Peak gameplay, boppin music. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun and creative movesets, movement feels great, substantial singleplayer content, both competitive and goofy gimmicky stages, basically everything you could ask for out of a platform fighter
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hidden within the game files of NASB1, there exists files pertaining to the character who would serve as the base template for all the other playable fighters, Ittle Dew of Slap City fame! Yes, I’m counting it. Helps even out the number of characters. #Ben10 #IttleDew #SlapCity
unlabelledView post →Slap City was kinda fun but it was a game I could only netplay poorly with people... I would love a platform fighter with grooves. The Smash equivalent of Kyanta. It would probably be easier than designing and testing items.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slap city being so good makes you wonder how they failed so bad with nickleodeon all stars 1 and 2 right after
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like super mario bros. but better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a competitive Melee player, in my opinion, this is the most fun and best feeling smash-likes i've played overall, in parallel with rivals of aether. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious, it's super responsive, it has ridiculous combos, stupid speed. the only thing i can criticize is the netcode which is awful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the game feel, art style, soundtrack and overall personality. I just wish there was more content. each character is creatively designed in their move sets. I just wish for more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, maybe the reason Smash has stood the test of time is that unlike most of its would-be successors, it was first and foremost a game developer’s idea. Rivals of Aether, Slap City, and (by my understanding) Brawlhalla all had this going for them too, and were very successful by their terms.
unlabelledView post →forgot to put in a review earlier I have too much time in this game on switch, while if you can choose one platfighter to invest in I'd probably point you to rivals, this is arguably my favorite vanilla experience and I wish way more people experienced and even played this game. it's uncomfortably and kind of grossly dripping charm all over the living room rug, and it just feels fantastic to play. who knows, maybe you'll even be converted to ludosism like I was.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a hidden gem. You aren't missing anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's fun. the combos are fun and wavedashing is so easy even I can do it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thinking abt platform fighters i dont think there's ever been one to do it like Slap City. the game has moonwalking and a button that lets you Moonwalk Further. like every character has at least one goofy move that you only use as a crowd pleaser. there's a platformer superhell for the vanilla cast
unlabelledView post →Not a lot of people playing Slap City nowadays, but it's a pretty fun and unique platform fighter. If you like Smash, Rivals, Multiversus, or Brawlhalla and wanna try something a little different for fun, then this is the right game for ya. The roster is wacky and it's fun to tryhard and goof off. Give it a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Smash game, feels incredible to play. The clutch mechanic is genius. Tough to go back to other games without temperature settings.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slap City is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. This Nintendo Switch game is a ripoff of Super Smash Bros, only worse in every respect. It's based on characters from the "Ludosity Universe", which raises an incredible philosophical question. Do universes exist if nobody ever heard of them? I'm not sure that they do, but here we have Super Smash Bros from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly high-energy platform fighter. The game's character design and overall balancing are more out there than Smash Bros., but it still captures the same fun, responsive game feel you're looking for. I love that the title leans into a goofy party game angle rather than presenting itself as a serious fighting game; it sets it apart from similar titles like Rivals of Aether. Slap City ends up being a super fun popcorn-munching game to pull out with some casual friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game so much. It has the sauce. Every character plays like a dream. The movement is like butter. The shenanigans you get up to in the story mode are unreal. If you love platform fighters, you will love this game. If you don't love this game, play it again and learn to have better taste.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is fast, furious, and the fish guy made me feel like a good family 6/10 - vin deisel
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The looks are goofy but the game play is bad ass, depending on who you are you will either find these aspects disjointed or a fun dichotomy, for me these are two things I love smashed together. The best single player on offer I've found, 5 thematically and mechanically distinct platforming levels are on offer, which isn't a lot but I found the shorter experience to not outstay its welcome and the writing is top notch with all the charm you expect from a Ludosity game. In this sense slap city…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs really wanted this ♥♥♥♥ to turn into an Esport so they took all the fun ♥♥♥♥ out and now only like 10 people play this ♥♥♥♥ so dont waste your time. Dead game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best platform fighter on steam and maybe of all time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah you would get stunned in 1 of 3 different ways if you RPS'd wrong. NASB was such a disappointment because I actually think Slap City is criminally underrated. Like idk if it's a great competitive game but it's actually the most fun "fuck around with friends" platform fighter fr
unlabelledView post →Yeahhh it's pricey and I usually don't buy games new but Invincible is one of my hyperfixations so I'm making an exception! The only other "new" game I plan on buying is Bubsy 4d but that's only gonna be 20$ ! :3 I don't have Slap City but it's been on my wishlist so I'll keep in mind!
unlabelledView post →Slap City, I guess? I might describe that game as not looking as good as Pokémon Legends ZA? See how deep I have to dig here? (Slap City’s good asf though don’t get me wrong)
unlabelledView post →Unbearably ugly game with no one online The fact they still charge $20 for this is CRIMINAL
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a Gunz the duel private server that peaked like 150 people, Slap City is considered dead but I could go to the discord and ping matchmaking and get a game in 2 minutes… idk
unlabelledView post →Happens to the best of us. Slap City is a zippy game, even by Melee standards.
unlabelledView post →I love the fighting system in this game to bits please play it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game, only issue is that the online play can be pretty laggy for everyone if even just one person has bad ping, or at least that's how it seems from what I've played. Almost perfect otherwise, really fun game to play with friends, good art, and great OST, it's a shame that there aren't too many people playing this.
