I'm worried that this game was pushed out half baked to try an recoup costs and will never be completed. Pros: 1. Great idea, very unique experience 2. Tank looks and feels great from inside 3. Challenging 4. Destructible terrain is very nice 5. Detailed operations map Cons: 1. The game is ugly as all getup. Terrible effects (bullet…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really cool game and I do intend to keep playing a bit, however an issue that I find is that I spend most of my time doing the RTS in map mode and don't do a lot of commanding my tank. I firmly believe that this game is fantastic but I do think it needs some tweaks to help balance the RTS with the Tank Commander part, my recommendation is an "auto command" idea where your allies will have some form of computer control them instead of relying solely on the player I think that would…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NOT IN ITS CURRENT STATE!!! wanted to get that out their first, the core idea of the game is GREAT, the blend of RTS/3PS/FPS is wonderfully done! however... the performance is a bit "rough" it works fine but just feels stuttery/not-smooth even after changing settings and vsync and all that fun stuff (9800X3d and RTX5070Ti) But for me its the more minor details that just makes me "nope" out, because a 75 (76?)mm HE round doesn't kill infantry apparently, nor does a second.. or third...…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I so badly wanted to be able to recommend this game, but I can't do it. Unless I've missed it somewhere on the store page, this game isn't advertised as currently being in early access. If it isn't in early access, then it's in an unacceptable release state. Clunky controls and unrefined graphics aside, which are addressed in other reviews, the extreme micromanagement kills this game for me. I'm not interested in holding the hand of every individual soldier in an entire platoon to try to coax…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off, not worth 30 dollars, I'd say 15-20 USD. The game has a good idea but it's honestly boring and buggy. Your shells hit everything in the way, bushes, trees, debris, everything will stop your shell and a lot of the time results in killing your own troops. I don't really like the commanding troop part either, you spend a lot more time on the map then doing anything in your tank, and your HE shells don't really do anything unless it's directed by the gunner AI in sim mode which will then…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game! I'm in my 70s and have been playing tank video games ever since they were first made. As an old coot, I can be very critical and will refund a game in a heartbeat. This game is very, very good. I really like the combat formation and how the bow gunner automatically shoots enemies. After some polishing and extra content, the game will be great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 9 hours of gameplay. Nitro 17 laptop rtx4050. 1st, I dissagree that you spend more time on the map than in tank, not true for me, it's about 70/30 in tank/map. The game has had quite a bit of negativity that almost prevented me from buying, even after the long wait and excitement. I cannot speak for crashes and bugs as I haven't had any so far. However, I can say , if you want a chllenging and tactical game , this is it. If you want an arcade tank game, maybe not. This game requires…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an excellent game. I just started the campaign and am loving it. The seamless blend of FPS control of your tank and tactical control of your platoon is an innovative design feature I had hoped to find in a simulation. They made a fun game with just the right pace of combat so it doesn't feel tedious or overwhelming. Great job!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really neat concept and good excecution of it - but there's also a lot to take you out of the experience. For example, the camera controls are just poor. I get the simulation approach, but having to hold down MMB and frantically drag across the screen, or click furiously on the bearing arrows on the cannon interface is just..not good. I would love to be able to rebind the camera contorls a bit, but so far cannot. The VFX are currently pretty anemic - the cannon fire is good but no ricochet…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not in it's current state. The game has poor graphics akin to Easy Red 2, Repetitive audio, loads poorly, and the mix between RTS and tank controls means you're spending more time in the map than commanding your tank. All it really needs is more time in the oven imo, hopefully the 30 bucks I spent will go into making this a more enjoyable experience
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall the game is ok. I am able to run it with a older card and low ram but like others it definitely needs optimization in places. -good Its a unique combination of tanksim + RTS, a fresh concept. Armor is semi directional for the player and friendly tanks, and AI infantry is also placeable using something akin to COH2 and Iron harvest movement. Different threats pose different challenges, ranging from panthers, stugs, and PZ 3 and 4. Heavy emphasis on tanks working with infantry in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly have been waiting for this game for a few months now and I honestly think it needs a little more time in the oven. What is there is a pretty neat experience but falls short on a alot of things at the moment. The intended way to play the game which is in sim mode, plays very awkward since of course, you are tank commander. Ill give the devs credit, the gameplay, destruction, and commanding units is done right. As someone who plays alot of RTS. It works pretty well to me. Im able to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was looking forward to this game, but it is disappointing right now. Here are my complaints: - The controls are complicated and are not intuitive at all. Very difficult to control your tank and an entire company task force. - Access to the scenarios is limited. Unless I'm missing something, you have access to one scenario from each of the campaigns and have to complete it successfully to have access to the next one. There is no skirmish mode or ability to make your own scenarios. -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great game ignore the neg reviews. Does it need polish, yes. Optics on the gun would be good if they matched game play. Tank simulators are hard to come by these days, this is one. Its slow at times and deliberate which is what tank battle actually is. I think it gives a great perspective on being in a tank directly supporting ground troops. devs it would be nice if you could swap tanks to stay in the action when moving in a line. Overall I think its a good buy, I want to see more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Promising RTS/Tactical/Sim hybrid in which the player gets to practise with proper combined infantry/armor tactics. Good gfx, excellent presentation and a decent price make this an essential purchase for wargamers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was very excited to play and get this game as it looks like it has the potential to be like U-Boat for ground combat, with perhaps a few twists. But as the game stands right now I couldn't even finish the first tutorial before noping out. Voice lines feel.... immersion breaking. I see the intent but it doesn't land right. Take a look at games like GHPC. Crew voices are dynamic and react. This gave me "together at Derek's house/basement recording casually" vibes. Utilization of the map is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this a no even though i want to say yes, here is why. There is just something about that makes me really hate it, I was so excited for its release when i found out about it, but im a bit disappointed. I played the early demo before it was released on steam and i enjoyed it. Probably because there were no bushes. It has a few major issues that are really frustrating and i hope that they can fix it. One of those issues is not being able to shoot through a bloody bush! Yes thats right you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game would have been great about 20 years ago. It seems somewhat outdated and the controls are not at all intuitive. While communication with infantry is important, the tank commander wouldn't be commanding them. Especially not every single troop. Let it cook. I'm sure it will get better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far it feels like a really promising take on WWII tank combat! Much more serious and tactical approach than something like WOT. You really feel the weight and power of the Sherman, and the pacing encourages you to think before acting rather than just rushing into battle. It’s clear there a lot of tactical depth and some interesting strategic ideas behind the game. If the full experience continues to build on this, it could turn out to be the best tank simulator out there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game/sim makes me feel more like I'm playing "Panzer Elite" especially with respect to the infantry on both sides. In 2026, about 25 +/- years after Panzer Elite came out, i would kinda expect to see better graphics and real type of behaviors of the infantry. The explosions and gun sound effects are so so. But in the end, its still a good game. Just obsolete in some ways, but playable. One thing that stands out is a decent destructive environment. Most new games like Hell Let it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR the good and bad, I really like leadership roles in arma. I really like tanking in arma. This game is an awesome attempt at blending the two but falls short in quality. The bad right now is information on WHERE UNITS ARE BEING SHOT FROM and WHICH UNIT IS CALLING OUT FOR HELP is nearly absent. I see the unit flashing red on the map, hear someone call out they're taking heavy casualties, then lo, someone is dead or half strength. This is the most common friction with the game right now. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game could of been great, but the micromanagement takes the fun out. It's that simple.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- not Panzer Elite - but also not Panzer Elite Action Important: Its not an simulation with arcade parts. Its an Arcade Game with Simulation and Strategic Parts. I have fun playing it but cant give an go. To less the possibilities at the strategic map. To bad is the simulated parts like balistics and penetrations. In fact penetrations arent going to get simulated. I believe its an you have to hit 3 times the same part thing. No crew management. No rewards in the campaign. No ressource…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoying the game so far. I agree that the friendly units need to be able to control themselves but allow you to give general orders. Having to switch to RTS leaves you not controlling your tank efficiently.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has continued to improve with every update. While there are still problems, it has already come a long way. Fun to play albeit a bit of a learning curve. If improvement continues, this will be an excellent game very soon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't recommend this just yet... Concept and setting is really good and I LOVE these types of games, this just needs a lot more work putting into it, feels very much like early access. The controls and ballistics are very dated and clunky, but what really does it for me are basic things...like when you click to fire a turret...it will just keep firing randomly...so you shoot 2-3 shells. I find myself swapping to the machine gun and back to ensure it fires just one, which you shouldn't have to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a little rough around the edges, but the overall idea is great and I hope to see more content for this game. The immersion aspect in simulation mode is huge - looking through the ports and optics really restricts vision, but you have to button up once bullets start flying around your head. The commanding aspect could use some polish, and you can tell that the system is still pretty fresh, but it is a solid start. They have added a few helpful bits since the release that make for a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutely not. if not the worst. easily top of the list on terrible tanking games. do you like to control weather your MG shoots when you click? sorry you dont get that option, it shoots till its out of ammo or you switch round types to force it to stop. do you like to ID enemy targets when zoomed out? yep, sorry again you cant unless you zoom all the way in because you cant see 25 meters infront of you due to the graphics smudging stuff. turned off Anti alaising. and it stopped making trails…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid start to a tank sim. Controls take a bit getting used to. Once you have them down, it's generally a good experience. Crew system works well, as does other units control. Dev's are keen to improve their game, so well worth the purchase for me. Worth it if you're into WWII armour, as I am.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a bit surprised about the bad reviews... I am enjoying it. Love that we have soldiers and not only tanks. The only problem so far was that I had to upgrade my NVidia drivers because the game did not load first.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is really nothing interesting. It is definitly NOT the game you see on trailer. Not worth your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a great RTS an llive action game. calm the fk down and take your time. To the map then to the live action, use pause to strategize your moves. I played 6 hours straight . Very cool. Very hard to see enemy like in real life. Play dumb Die quick... Play smart and you ll have intense gaming. You ll get there. Needs some improvements. voices repetitive. ballistics need work especially long range shots....+-
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After playing since launch i find this game very addicting. the simulation mode i really enjoy could use a little smotthing out in areas but all in all a great tank combat game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A unique and fun tank game/RTS. can be played either as a light sim or an action game. playing on medium with the gameplay set to the "Sim" option offers a decent level of difficulty. I haven't finished the games campaign yet but it seems to also have a good amount of content. combat is fun and while the visuals and audio design have room for improvement the environmental destruction and vehicle physics are pretty good. also wish it would let me re-bind the look button from middle mouse button.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[English, German text below] It's a good tactics game from the perspective of a tank commander. This is exactly what I've always wanted from Graviteam Tactics. The simulation aspect, when it comes to pure tank combat, needs work; battles between tanks still feel quite arcade-like. The controls are much clearer than in TankSquad. The combat feels significantly more realistic than in Call to Arms: Panzer Elite. Without your support units, it's very difficult to win missions. Similar to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable and engaging game, especially for fans of Gunner HEAT PC, with decent graphics, well-recreated units, and an excellent atmosphere.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find this game to be quite enjoyable, with each battle bringing a new, ever-changing challenge to complete your objective successfully with minimal losses. It certainly is a game where patience and planning ahead are key components, so it won't be for everyone. I do hope they add the ability to draw on the map as an option. It would be neat to draw out attack plans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks really good! I just started playing, but I already know what I’m doing next weekend. I love the Action mode - you can just jump in and take a quick break during the day.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great concept for a game, and it is hard to believe there haven't been any "tank commander" style gameplay games in so long. The game itself seems solid, I haven't encountered any bugs, and it makes for a pretty fun experience I hope to see more from this team.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tank controls are terrible. Map doesn't translate to the actual environment very well. It's just not fun to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i would have loved to give this game a good review but i cant i am a hard core ww2 fan and i the m4a3e8 sherman is my faverate ww2 tank but there where to many technical issues i could not see my tank fram rate was abismal and the game sucked if iron wolf would fix the main problems i would buy the game again but in its curent state i cant recommend this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving the game & the improvements made with every update. There are limited scenarios available currently, however more than enough for 30hrs+ of play. I expect more will be added as updates come.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty good game if you like tank simulations. an in between of GHPC, and enlisted in regards to realism and arcade stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sherman Commander is a highly immersive experience that gets the core feeling of commanding a WW2 tank just right. The tactical depth is definitely there, and it's incredibly satisfying when your strategies play out perfectly. That being said, the game isn't without its flaws right now. You will run into some bugs, and a few mechanics still feel a bit clunky and unpolished. However, the foundation is solid, and I have high hopes that the developers will iron out these rough edges in future…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The tutorial bugged out and broke so I gave up. Graphics are mediocre and sound design is nothing to write home about.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a great game BUT... it needs optimization. i have it on 1080p and low textures yet stutter remains but not too bad its playable. also as others have pointed out, i find myself spending more time on the map than in the tank. maybe they will find a way to mitigate it. the engine sound is an audio loop and gets annoying. its like a toy tank engine sound. this needs to be addressed. it destroys the immersion. when setting a destination the driver doesnt avoid certain obstacles and will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve spent some time with Sherman Commander and overall I’m really enjoying the experience. The core gameplay of commanding a tank feels tense and rewarding, especially when positioning, timing, and awareness come together during an engagement. The atmosphere and historical feel are also strong points—you can tell a lot of effort went into making the battlefield experience immersive. One area that could be improved is the clarity of information during combat. At times it’s a bit hard to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YES! What a fantastic game! I will be testing it on SteamDeck as well and will update my review for that. Well worth the wait, well worth the purchase! Lot of these reviews are made by Jerry's, since this is only an American side, they wish someone as talented as these devs, could make a Jerry side. Thats right they did and they all suck! SHERMAN TANK game is Fury! Best Job I ever had in a video game! The only good crowed is a dead crowed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YOU COMMAND A SHERMAN TANK PLATOON THAT IS ALL 11/10 WOULD DO IT AGAIN
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would not recommend the game in its current state. Very awesome idea. I thought it was early access. It is not. Ugly graphics, horrible voice acting, and way too expensive for its current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like it, controlling your troops a bit Janky. It's a Great concept and I love it...Needs some polish or better battle field awareness but at the same time is kind of fog of war thing going on. Can only get better I hope, still enjoying it though it's early
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting much, but it genuinely surprised me. It nails the feeling of commanding a tank crew rather than just driving one. If you're into realistic, tactical gameplay and don't mind a learning curve this one's worth your time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Commanding a tank in this game is great! I feel like I'm on a real battlefield. Love the concept, I’ll be waiting for new updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the demo and it wasnt bad but this release is terrible. Low fps and stutters. Really bad ghosting. And controls are janky as hell. Demo was way better then this full release garbage. Refunded
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →European historical village destruction simulator. Reminds me of the battles in mount & blade, but a rolling gunned box of steel armor is your horse. That means issuing orders is a big part of the game (including to infantry), while you get to see the results from inside your tank. You can't freelook the interior of the tank, but I think the views are sufficient. Unlike GHPC, you can get shot if freelooking unbuttoned, so viewports and periscope are your friends. If you played RTS's and ever…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a wonderful game. A very good start. I'm very pleased that infantry is present in a tank simulator and actually performs its tasks. The only thing that's a little confusing is that, as a tank commander, you have to take command of all the units present in the mission. I'd like to command only my tank or tank unit, not infantry. I wish the developers good luck. I'm also really looking forward to Tiger Commander.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does it have some kinks to work out? Yes. Is it an absolute blast to play? Also, yes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I managed to load the first couple of sessions but now it occasionally refuses to load. Once it loads it is OK The game loads very slowly at all times even on my reasonably powerful PC. One good thing is there is manual save function, not that awful auto save function on some games that makes you loose vast amounts of play time. The price is reasonable and is mostly good so i have decided to change my recommendation to yes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chaos game. Nice game, but with chaos.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been looking forward to this for a while and it's awesome. Pretty challenging (I suck in first person mode right now).
