Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: The Case of the Mystified Murderess
Developer Zojoi
An unassuming woman has been charged with the death of a scoundrel, a fortune-squandering bounder. She was found over the body, pistol in hand but there are other avenues in this case that even the Yard refuses to set foot upon. I have the feeling that there is more to the case than meets the eye. The moonshot was licensed likenesses for actual 70s actors/actresses. I am the perfect person to write it. But I'm not sure I'm up to actually running the project. That's life
unlabelledView post →The Incident at Galley House is absolutely my jam. It's a murder mystery narrative deduction game. If you liked Her Story or Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective or Return of the Obra Dinn or anything in that vein, you're gonna love this. store.steampowered.com/app/3641000/...
unlabelledView post →The idea is a combo of deduction and required evidence; My current design is inspired by a bunch of games but I really like Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective style, where it is possible to solve it in a perfect minimal number of steps/encounters/scenes but you can take longer and still solve it
unlabelledView post →The PC Engine's first FMV game was Sherlock Holmes no Tantei Kouza, or Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. Along with being a technical marvel, the game has an unusual origin and a future celebrity (okay, celebrity to online nerds, but still a celebrity). youtu.be/GLbrJfoWlMw

unlabelledView post →Do people know that Virtual Stupidity was made by ICOM Simulations? It shares DNA with Deja Vu, Shadowgate, and Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. So, that's neat.
unlabelledView post →THE DAVID MARSH COLLECTION, with source materials from ICOM Simulations games like Shadowgate, Uninvited, Deja Vu, and more. David had a treasure trove of materials from ICOM! Are you a fan of the Sega CD classic Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective? Well, there's the literal film it was filmed on

Makes me think about: obscure lore (from souls), Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, wall of links in howling dogs
unlabelledView post →Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective style game, but instead of newspapers it’s recipe blogs, and all the murders are food related.
unlabelledView post →two recommendations from me: - Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective. brilliant genre-defining boardgame. somehow from the 80s?? - Her Story. originator of the modern FMV movement both just have that freedom to speculate on someone's motives, go: huh, i wonder... and have that immediately pay off

Or Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: jack the ripper? Or Betrayal at Baldurs gate? Or.............................................. ad infinitum? Me neither.
unlabelledView post →Last night we finally cracked into Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective after having it on our shelf for a few years. I dig it. It's basically a choose-your-own-adventure deduction game where getting more story is dependent on you figuring out the story so far. Clever format, great time-for-cost.

These are three interactive movies where the viewers can decide what Sherlock Holmes should do next.

unlabelledView post →In addition to the latest Detective Grimoire game and The Red Pearls of Borneo, we also have recently played a FMV (full motion video) Sherlock Holmes series from the early 90s called Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective. It reminds me of the VCR interactive games of that time. They're pretty fun.
unlabelledView post →I talk about it from time to time, but I'm a big fan of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. Dave Neale who designed the last box (green) had a great conversation with Suzanne Goldberg, one of the co-creator of the original game.
unlabelledView post →8. Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, by Gary Grady, Suzanne Goldberg, Jérôme Ropert - It’s really really fun to solve a mystery in this game. We have the Jack The Ripper edition because we already finished (not solved) all the cases in the Thames Murders set and gave that away to a friend.
