Victoria's parents have been kidnapped by a wicked witch, so Victoria learns magic spells from a good witch. Along the way she gets different power-up items that can be upgraded up to three times, and they have a cool-down timer. You can choose untimed or timed. I played untimed because I like to look over the board and think about chain reactions. There are blocks that have to be broken…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall Rating: 8.5/10 My full playthrough with 100% achievements, on Challenge Mode took about 12 hours... game was paused quite a bit while I did other things, so playtime shown is not truly accurate. Fun and cute match 3 game, with an interesting, if somewhat shallow, story. Not much to the story, but more than most Match 3 games have, and suitable for *most* children. 100 levels, and 2 difficulties (Casual and Challenge). Casual has no limit on moves, Challenge gives you a set number of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short description to me is always the best for what concerns indie games - here we have an Italian translation too, and basically it asks us to be part of this magical world, taking the role of the witch Victoria and delve deep into this magical match-3 puzzle world! Let us stay serious though. The Italian translation here has done something extremely interesting and unique.. apart from having only four points in the Steam store page (that are quite different from the English points, which…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →secrets of magic: the book of spells is the first in a series of spooky match-3 games, and while it doesn't do anything new, it's much better than average, and I can only hope the developers didn't mess things up in later entries either. victoria is an orphan, doesn't know what happened to her parents, but weird things happen around her all the time, so she has an inkling that she's different from other people. one day she gets a letter from her aunt wendy, who'd like to meet victoria and dish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting to make a review of this game, but I do actually have a few things to say. First of all, this game is intended for children, and anyone above the age of 8 won't be very interested in the characters or story. In short, it's about a girl that finds out shes a witch, and she learns alot of spells. So remove the story element and you are left with a match-3 game. So does that hold up? Yes and no. The game has some fun mechaincs like imps that multiply, blocks of stone you need…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#Febchantment 1-3 Late to the game, but better to be late than never. In Secrets of Magic, It's hard magic system. People can wield elemental magic. Moon, water, earth, fire, nature, spirit, reality, & chaos. They can create potions and charms too with plants & magic. #WritingCommunity #Writesky

Smooth gameplay, well-composed music that's neither distracting nor aggravating, bright and coloring graphics with nice backgrounds and a clean UI, and sound and graphic effects that aren't jarring or flashy. Nothing that really breaks the Match-3 mold, but the game has so much personality it doesn't need to. Each level has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A charming little match-3 game that you can finish in two days. Relaxing and addictive. Once you start, you can't stop. Story-wise, this game tells the events before "Secrets of Magic 2: Witches and Wizards". Interestingly, this predecessor was much more challenging than part 2, but I liked that. Good game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Follow our [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36214917/]Curator Group for more reviews Secrets of Magic: The Book of Spells is a match 3 game that is pretty standard for the genre. In general, the match 3 genre is stale and formulaic, but there are some games that stand out from the crowd. Unfortunately, Secrets of Magic isn't one of those, instead relying on the same boring mechanics that 99% of match 3 games use. After playing the first level, you've essentially played the whole…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Secrets of Magic. is a very entertaining match 3 game. You play a witch who has to gather ingredients and try to find your parents. The story is not important since you probably won't pay any attention to it. You get some very good power ups as the game goes on. Good graphics, lots of replayability. If you love match 3 games, then this one should be in your library. Two thumbs up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% achievement hunters - you may want to pass on this one. There are two main goals each level, finish in under a certain number of moves and reach a certain score. On average, the faster someone finishes a level, the lower there score. So these goals are somewhat opposed to each other. You can buy more moves and for some levels, you may need to buy more moves several to many times. You can run out of currency, but you can restart the game to earn more. 100% is doable, but roughly 13% of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Guess what? I played some Match-3! Such a colorful and fun looking game. So it is what you expect + power ups, which you actually upgrade... By money. You usually don't do that in other Match-3s, that's why I mentioned it. You go on a quest to do things (no spoilers) and you wont finish it... You need the next game to do it. I gotta say though... the wizard guy and the witch lady should team up and rescue people themselves... Just saying. Also, IF you DO NOT WATCH all THREE STARS pop…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice simple little Match3 with a cuty factor. Nothing really special except falling sounds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice match 3 game. Fun progression elements on the powerup upgrades. Interesting levels that really make you think for this type of game. 8 / 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And we are done!!! 100 levels done. Level 100 was horrible!!! Game: Secrets of Magic 1 - The Book of Spells #nintendoswitch

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent match 3 game, nice to pass the time. Runs great under Linux.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good mechanics for a puzzle game, and the thematic is nice. Although it is not that challenging it is good to pass the time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure if i'm bugged but my mouse is showing just on top of the in game mouse curser, it's annoying the hell out of me. Other than that, this game is extremely entertaining. 9/10 would be ten if not for the mouse thing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game, 100 levels, and some of them really stumped me, which is nice. Level difficulty isn't bad, and it's nice that you don't have to spend actual money in game to get the power ups and abilities. 36 achievements, and two difficulties, which you have to play both in order to get all 36 achievements. The only thing that made me disappointed was that at the end of the game it does the whole, stay tuned for the sequel! It was a nice fairly long game. Took me roughly eleven hours to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game - My girlfriend loves it. If you're into 'connect 3' kind of games, I'd say you can't go wrong with this one. Especially for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you get three stars on a level, there's a chance for the game to only read it as you getting one star, which isn't great. Also, the amount of moves you have to make to get any of your abilities back basically means you only get to use each one once per level, and most of them aren't able to be used on every level
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let’s play an easy game! Yes I love Match 3 games! Let’s see if I can beat all 100 levels 😅 Game: Secrets of Magic 1 - The Book of Spells
unlabelledView post →How can you beat level 94?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun Halloween/witchy themed match 3, with cute spooky music and art. None of the levels were really too difficult even without using powerups. The most annoying blockers were the spreading imps. Simple storyline that leads into the next game, I'll be sure to continue on to #2 to see what happens next.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What if I told you this happens in my book, Secrets of Magic?? Love replying a scene from a book in a game lol Aren't they cute??

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love match 3 puzzle games and witchy stuff. This game is for you. I am enjoying it so much and I can't wait to get the other 4 in the series.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had fun with Secrets of Magic: The Book of Spells that is a recommendation on its own. It is a fun and charming "Match-3" puzzle game much like Bejeweled. The game features colourful graphics and well animated characters, magic is thrown into the mix to keep things "spicy. The game play is spellbinding (pun inteneded) and will keep you entertained for hours. Especially if you are going for all the achievements. The incorporation of magical elements and spells gives the game a fresh feel and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little Match 3 game. Delivers as expected.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of fun power-ups and obstacles to give you a challenge and make it more interesting. Very cutesy story, which might either appeal to you or turn you off, so be forewarned.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →there are better match 3 games out there, this one is just meh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of the best match 3 game. easy but 20 hours 100% completion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game! Looking forward to sequels! I played "relaxed" so most levels were relatively easy. In fact the first 30 or so levels required playing more than needed to get all 3 stars. The last 2 levels were buggers, though. Those required starting with all spells fully upgrade and charged with first move to "stake" an imp or imps! Other than that it is a great game and lots of fun! Decent story, too!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great match 3 game.
