neutral · AI labelView post →I had the idea for R.J. Decker like 5 years ago. I definitely mentioned a show about a private investigator who had unique character traits and abbreviated name.

Season 2 is already going, one episode up so far, and you can watch S1 too. I updated my PI article accordingly: allthethingsilove.substack.com/p/tv-pis-are... #tvsky #booksky

neutral · AI labelView post →Watching RJ Decker a P.I. show on ABC out of boredom. Normally I don’t watch network television beyond The Simpsons and Family Guy. Any scripted television show worth a darn isn’t on something free. This is case in point.

neutral · AI labelView post →Embarrassingly, I didn’t know about your newsletter. I signed up, but it said I’d receive “the next one,” so I appreciate you bringing me up-to-date on R.J. Decker. Glad to hear there’s still some hope. It’s discouraging to watch a show pretty much do everything right, and not get rewarded for it. 😊
positive · AI labelView post →Currently Watching: R.J. Decker on ABC. Anyone else enjoying this show? I'm a sucker for PI's but I don't think it's just that. Love the circular connection he has with his ex and her wife, and wife being a cop. Humor, and good acting all around. 👍👍 from me. #tvsky
positive · AI labelView post →I just finished the 5th episode of R.J. Decker. It’s a P.I. case of the week. At the end of the episode I thought how satisfying it was to have everything wrapped up. I don’t want every show to be a discreet procedural, but it’s great to have one available.
positive · AI labelView post →Looking for a fun new show to watch? “R.J. Decker” is a lot of fun. Based on a character from the mind of Carl Hiaasen, along with all the Florida craziness you would expect.

unlabelledView post →Really like this actor, but I can’t tell you how much I don’t want this to happen. “The Rockford Files” is probably my favorite show of all time, and “R.J. Decker” is already pretty much an excellent unofficial remake. Why is this needed?
unlabelledView post →Just started watching R.J. Decker on Disney+ I immediately started thinking Carl Hiaasen, an author I only know by rumor, had to have something to do with the series; Like, the Paul Auster of Florida. Ep.2: Then I saw his name on the title sequence. Happens to be based on his novel Double Whammy.

unlabelledView post →We watched R.J. Decker this week - a perfectly entertaining show in the vein of Magnum P.I. (the original) or Castle - but it made me miss 20-episode seasons. Shows like this need room to breathe. It would be twice as good with double the episode count. Come back, network telly, all is forgiven!
unlabelledView post →I really like this R.J. Decker show. I watched the first several episodes as they aired but then kinda forgot; catching up on the last 2 episodes right now. I don't even know what it is about this show. There's nothing particularly unique about it, it's just well-done and super entertaining.

unlabelledView post →R.J. Decker is one of those shows that grows on you. At first it feels a bit weird, but once it clicks? You get fun cases, strong character dynamics, and just the right amount of humor. It’s giving old-school procedural vibes, and I’m into it. #RJDecker #CrimeDrama #TVDiscussion #Procedural 👇 http://wornoutspines.com/2026/05/01/r-j-decker-season-review/
unlabelledView post →R.J Decker is a good show. At times it gets in its own way but maybe a second season with a more narrow focused might make it an even better show and probably deserves one more season to prove itself.
