Weird seeing some of Letterboxd actually angry that Belushi & Ackroyd both played against type, it's one of the big highlights.

unlabelledView post →And I presume that GIF is Revolutionary Road. Shannon was unbelievable in that movie. So interesting to look back over the careers of some actors - surprising where they started out.
unlabelledView post →Leo Fest Day 2 🎬🍿 Revolutionary Road. Well, THAT was cheerful. 😂 Fantastic movie though — and the acting was incredible.
unlabelledView post →Chapter 7 Two’s Company No book about the strangeness of the intimacies we're supposed to yearn for could be complete without looking at the most astute musical about them: Stephen Sondheim's Company—which I study, in its various iterations, here alongside Revolutionary Road (book and film).
unlabelledView post →He really was perfect casting for his character in Revolutionary Road. Like the character came screaming into life to steal the show in the source material and then Shannon in his small but unforgettable role in the film.
unlabelledView post →It's simple if Revolutionary Road is on TV, I watch it. Feel like it is just a movie full of memery.

unlabelledView post →My first experience scouting for this was on the movie Revolutionary Road, where the two main characters live in a Levittown-like neighborhood. In fact, my first assignment was to scout the very first Levittown on Long Island, built in the late 1940s as the first mass-produced suburban community.

unlabelledView post →Very much enjoying Revolutionary Road by Richard Yeates, thought I saw the film years ago but it’s not familiar at all! Could’ve been one of those Netflix CDs back in the day that arrived, sat around for a bit and got sent back unwatched!
unlabelledView post →My favorite film performances from the 2000s. Leonardo DiCaprio, Frank Wheeler, "Revolutionary Road" (directed by Sam Mendes). #movies #films #revolutionaryroad #sammendes #leonardodicaprio
unlabelledView post →I haven't read the book Revolutionary Road, but I've seen the movie, and despite being kinda mediocre it really hit home with me--the way our society builds a prison out of insecurity, toxic masculinity and capitalism that ends up living in your head even when the gates are wide open

unlabelledView post →I have never identified with a film/book character more than that of April from Revolutionary Road. The banality of doing the expected.

unlabelledView post →Worst date movie since Revolutionary Road!
unlabelledView post →In Revolutionary Road, DiCaprio, Winslet, and Bates all give award worthy performances. And then Michael Shannon comes on screen for all of like five minutes and is the most memorable part of the film

unlabelledView post →Unaware of anything about the movie, @shewasquirky and I continued our Kathryn Hahn spree and watched Revolutionary Road. Well. That was such a tough watch we needed to rewatch Baby Mama afterwards to get some laughs and smiles in. 😬 Good movie though.. just, really unsettling, tense.. great performances by everyone, especially Kate, of course. #RevolutionaryRoad

unlabelledView post →I haven’t read “The Breakup.” But I saw a plot summary and thought to myself… … “Yeah. But I bet “Revolutionary Road” is better.” Enjoy the film, Les. It’s really good. But I think the novel is even better.

unlabelledView post →And I think Leo's third Oscar should have been for another movie he wasn't nominated for: 2008's "Revolutionary Road." Far more worthy than "The Revenant." "RR" should have been the film Winslet finally won for, too, instead of the actual '08 movie she DID win for. Oscar So Stupid.
unlabelledView post →Revolutionary Road! I love that movie so much, isn't included in these sorts of convos as much as it should be.
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching2026 The 2 movies I rewatched today: - Million Dollar Baby (2004) - Revolutionary Road (2008)
unlabelledView post →Revolutionary Road. There is something about this movie's portrayal of a broken marriage that I find profoundly upsetting. And Talk to Her, arguably the most twisted movie by Almodóvar.
unlabelledView post →I remember seeing this in my early 20s and digging it at the time, and now feeling like — performances aside — it's the defintion of "not aged well." (I think it also helped said that film that I had not yet read books like "Revolutionary Road," which helped makes its suburban critique sting more.)
unlabelledView post →Random choice for the evening: #RevolutionaryRoad (2008). Not even the slightest bit of an idea what it will be about 🍿😊 #PhysicalMedia #DVD #FilmSky
unlabelledView post →The movie itself isn't bad per se but Revolutionary Road was a terrible choice as a date movie specifically
unlabelledView post →Here's my dumb thought after watching "Revolutionary Road" Last night: I want a movie set in the late 2000s with Kate and Leo where they play a divorced couple falling in love again after the housing market crashed. I'm not joking.
unlabelledView post →Revolutionary Road. Great cast, dreadful film.
unlabelledView post →Ok so fun fact 100 years ago I went to this Catholic school and the producers of Revolutionary Road came down and asked if they could film a hospital scene there and the diocese was 100% all-in until they found out what happens in the scene and they switched to a school two towns over lol
unlabelledView post →Yeah same here, though I did like the Reader as well. It just felt uncomfortable to watch personally. So was Revolutionary Road too but still felt more palatable as subject matter, if that makes sense? Definitely a big year for Kate as far as film goes though!
unlabelledView post →Kate and Leo were romantic leads in the film Revolutionary Road, yes 😊
unlabelledView post →It's such a good film. I did a double feature one day. I watched The Reader and followed it up with Revolutionary Road. After seeing The Reader, I immediately went out and bought the novel. It was sensational.
unlabelledView post →Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. On all levels one of the best novels I've ever read. Makes the fairly decent film look like a mere shadow.
unlabelledView post →I’ve read all of Yates but I find i have to recommend him cautiously because he’s so depressing. What did you think of the Revolutionary Road movie?

unlabelledView post →This might be a dark choice for Valentine's Day, but Revolutionary Road is such a classic film. I love Michael Shannon as a brilliantly brazen truth-teller, and he is this film's glue. That ending is revolting and traumatizing, very reminiscent of The Mist. This film is NOT for the faint of heart.
