21) [REC]³ Genesis (2012, dir. Paco Plaza) - Spanish zombie flick. Switches from found footage to standard filmmaking 20 minutes in. This one is stupid fun, and is a step up from the dour second flick. Just a lot of cool kills and some neat takes on the zombie film.

8/16 - [REC]³ Genesis I have not seen the movies before this, and I dont know how much that impacts my thoughts on this movie. This was just... odd and kind of a lackluster zombie movie. Making the zombies into demonic entities as well felt... poorly implemented here.

Day 4: Non-English Found Footage [•Rec]³: Genesis Alrighty, so it’s mostly not found footage, but I just watched 2, so good excuse to watch this. There was a peculiar amount of humor included that I’m not totally sure about, but Leticia Dolera sure does look badass. #HQHalloween

Honestly the weakest of the series, and the most far flung. The tone is completely different and not a very serious horror movie, being very comedic.

A disappointing REC experience This movie left me disappointed because I definitely had better expectations following REC1 and REC2. The recording and shaky camera won't be there for the largest part, it's full of stupid/nonsense moments and the story isn't that engaging. They also added "funny" scenes for some reasons, totally breaking the suspense, therefore it won't even feel realistic at all. Too much splatter for my taste too. There are three positive things about REC3 though: it features…

The most poetic zombie movie I have ever seen. Zombie fans, you will like it!
