negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're not familiar with the first [url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198112810429/recommended/394310?snr=1_5_9__402]Punch Club game, I highly suggest starting from the beginning. By some definitions I saw in other opinions, the first game was "more fun". I don't completely agree, as one out of three major components of the game, the battle process, is now even better organized and interesting than before, and one more major component, the training and self-evolving, is just as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This second instalment is just as grindy as the first one if not more but that's not my issue with it, I enjoy that aspect. No this one was a bit too story heavy for me. There's just too much quirky dialog that breaks up the pace of the game. The story isn't bad per se but it overstays its welcome. The worst part was the ending where I had to sit through almost two hours of dialog and "cutscenes" before the final boss fight. Also you can't get all the achievements in one playthrough, you'll…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short conclusion is "It's not worth the time" I haven't played the first installment, so was new to the series. Good grief, does this game not respect your time. The gameplay loop is insanely repetitive (even if addicting) - basically the start of the game is the same as the end of the game. There is some tactics when choosing the style to fight with, but it's underderused and you don't need to think too hard as most enemies don't have special rules to break the mold. Most unlocked moves are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recomend the previous entry of this game, or one of their other games (Graveyard Keeper, which I recommded to several friends), but not this sequel. It's too slow, too grindy, tries to put puns and references all the time, and towards the end, you are rushed past many events which could have been spread at different parts of the game and made it feel more whole. The ending? one of the most underwhealing and insatisfactory video game endings I have ever experienced. The Pixel art of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its more of a resource management game, building up your stats and learning skills for fights.. The fights require tactical thinking, so its not like you are playing cookie clicker or something. The animations, art and worldbuilding are amazing and i personally really loved the storyline as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ruth Mission Glitched won't activate. Paid DLC literally glitched and won't progress. Rest of the game works as intended. This is why you don't buy day one and when they ate heavily discounted. You are less infuriated when these damn games don't function like they're supposed to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would recommend to start with punch club 1 before playing this one. Amazing game even better than the first, the story, the gameplay and the funny references makes it a goat game and make me hope for a punch club 3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the wool cover over your eyes with the free copy of Graveyard Keeper some time ago. The dev behind that and Punch Club is all too keen on making an AI genned sequel to GK it looks like. Heck his DLC for Punch Club 2 discloses it's usage. When, not if.
unlabelledView post →Great game, great improvements since the first one. Not sure why it wasn't promoted properly and I found out about it ages later
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's twice as expensive as it should be. it's like the previous game, balance the life of your fighter as you climb the ranks, filled with pop culture references and some funny moments that probably need a spell check. There's one main branching path, with specific dialogue for each. You can get all achievements in one playthrough. Your character no longer loses experience from skimping out on exercise. Now you have tonus. Tonus is a resource that is like a muscle debt. Stronger moves will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I forced myself to finish this. I didn't feel the satisfaction I've felt from other "training" and leveling games - it rather felt like a tedious loop, just to go through the very linear story. The ending itself was also very "meh." Basically, it's 15 minutes of text exposition about characters you don't really care about. Here was the loop: click a thing to train on (let's say, treadmill) > oops, ran out of energy > click bed > oops, ran out of food > click store > buy food > oops, ran out of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →genuinely changed the perspective of my life, one of the best fighting games EVER in my opinion, devs if you see this please make the 3rd game into the trilogy im begging, 10/10 best 5 bucks of my life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first chapter was fine, but after you go to the second chapter it gets way too repetitive. The game also has some buggy parts in it, that the devs forgot to fix even after all this years. For example the quest with the yoga girl.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything I wanted from a sequel. Faster pacing, better mechanics, more humor, and an incredible soundtrack. It fixes every minor issue from the original and adds so much more content. Finishing it was bittersweet because I just wanted to keep playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. Aside from the decent art style, the game is utterly unplayable. It's all about eating, sleeping, entertainment, and exercising – a repetitive cycle. 2. Furthermore, the inventory is extremely limited, requiring frequent trips to the shop to buy food. It makes me suspect the developers either don't play their own game or are deliberately trying to annoy players, increasing playtime, slowing down progress, and making it impossible to get a refund after the allotted time.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring gameplay loop, youre doing same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again for little progress. Terrible and painfully unfunny dialogue. Super boring game in overal.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the weirdest games I ever played, it likes to waste your time, because you need to get your stats in order while on the same hand being buggy in the endgame meaning you have quests that don't lead to anything. If you get it for $5 buy, if you pay more... skip. An experience, but not one I wanted to finish or recommend to a friend. But it wasted some time. Without a finale, so pure wasting of time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is nice and has great storyline, It's not fit for some people cause it takes some time to progress this game is fit for people who have free time and wants to try something new. I recommend it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You wake up, eat something protein-heavy, go to work, punch a few people in the face, train, sleep, repeat. The gameplay is simple but motivating if you enjoy watching numbers go up and progress bars fill, you'll feel right at home. The world is wonderfully weird, somewhere between 80s movie references and sci-fi parody. If you enjoy training a digital body to ridiculous levels, you’ll have a few very entertaining hours here.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a good management sim whatever yes. It does have humor too! But between the bugs where events simply do not trigger and the utter and complete LACK of information given on the different moves/skills besides the bare minimum, this game is supposed to appeal to those that love min/maxxing... and then doesn't let you min max. Hell, if there are mods that fix these, I'll change this, but for now, a good game with issues that make you legit sad you cannot truly enjoy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR Good start, some nostalgia hits but after all very disappointing thanks to clunky UI, that ruins the combat after a while and too much repetitive grind. -------------------------------- Pros: Overall look and feel Decent visuals Music is pretty good Gameplay Up to a certain point the general game loop is somewhat enjoyable The individual combat styles function as some sort of preset, but only to a very very limited degree Story and world building Almost everything in this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible combat. You can lose against an enemy half your stats because you didn't pick the right vague combination !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love it. Replayed several times. But man.. Why can't you fix the Ruth bug? I wanted some Yoga sparring, and my 100% Trophy.. Great micromanage game where losing is more of an inconvenience than a punishment. I like to play this game when I'm frustrated in other games and just want to play something that keeps you in a nice flow. Edit: I took upon noticing they added an extra line to a certain unbeatable character now being proven beatable.. Not happy to learn they didnt continue this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it had appeal for an hour and then it just became a grind management making it feel more like work than entertainment. i have thousands of hours in ff7 alone so not against grind, but it does need to seem less monotonous. add to this the mind-numbingly stupid dialogue that tries way too hard to be witty and misses by a continent. i can actually feel myself getting dumber playing this. great management concept over implemented so unless you are french, this is thumbs down from me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately doesn't even remotely come close to the first Punch Club experience; such a shame, but it's hard to produce a good sequel that doesn't feel like a complete copy of the first game, so at least they tried
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great second game to the og. The combat improves on the og by adding more moves and mechanics. They also made the jobs more interactive and the story branching off into multiple options is cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →worse than the first one. hated the last boss with every fibre of my being.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wanna like this game so much, but the lost of experience its so brutal that you dont feel like you are making progress, I get that some people may want the game to be more punishing but the overall experience is that the more you advance the more you lose
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first one was better. Play that instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the first game and at first i really disliked the sequel. The sudden shift of tone from lovable 90s to neon futurism hits like a truck... not in a good way as there are not many references to that period in the first half. Given time it grew on me far more than the original, I'll definitely recommend it! If you can get through the first half that is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way worse than the first game. The skills all feel the same, and the story isn’t engaging—plus it’s really short. There’s no sense of time pressure in the gameplay either. And to top it off… the bus can be free. OMG
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing humor, good art direction, fun gameplay. A real step up from the original. I am excited to see where they take this game next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike a lot of people I much prefer this to the original and find it to be a lot of fun. Yes the core loop can get repetitive, but that's training for you. yes, sometimes you stumble and fall, but the game gives you ample opportunity to get back up again. If you're not aware of what this is, then it's basically a time management/fight management game. You don't do any of the actual fighting yourself, you just get the stats up through training then choose the available moves and modifiers.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PC1 is far better even with the decay. If I could rate this mixed, I would. But as it is, I'm finding myself getting frustrated way more often than enjoying this game so I'm rating this one down. There are some things I liked but it's marred heavily by a ton of core gameplay issues. The biggest issue that I found is that if you don't pick a good OP build from a guide right off, you can get stuck in a 'grind loop' where you're spending all your time training students and matching fights so you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was so good, I can't understand how the second turned out to be such a mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. I played it non-stop until I forgot that I also have to go to the gym to train or eat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Punch club: tutorial Punch Club 2: You’ve spent 20 long years living in the confines of your overbearing mothers garage, your father mysteriously vanished before you were born. But hey, you had plenty of time to work out and dream about the wonders of the world BLA BLA BLA..... BOOM stupid ending!!! Ugh, I regret getting this game. I was playing it for 20 hours and ended up with Half Naked Brad. Grind, grind, grind - they should make this like a mobile game with ADS. And even though the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the game, but developers do not care about bugs or patching it seems, theres been bugs about sparing with ruth quest and a lot of questions from steam community to reddit that goes back to 2 years but its still not fixed. edited to plus after finishing the game, but still fix the game bruh
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played through this game 3 times, and as of the third it was my first 100% game ever. Not because it normally takes that long, but because i enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Numbers go up. Similar to the original but with more activities. A LOT of pop culture gaming and movie references. Variety of quest choices and fighting styles. You can choose not to sign up to new fights, and train or work instead, so already in the early game it gets grindy but at least it's fair imo. In the latter stages I felt like skipping the dialogs a lot, but maybe that's not the game's fault I was just burned and wanted to finish it. I wish that if they made a sequel you can access…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Слабая боевка, очень много гринда, баги. Первая часть куда получше, хоть и тоже с проблемами. ДЛЦ вообще швах, просто его предназначение - тратить ваше время и больше ничего.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good game, towards the end a little bit grindy, but really fun, only recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont understand this game... my stats are 3 times higher then the NPCs and they are beating the ♥♥♥♥ outta me. something isnt right.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those who like short game posts, I wrote a quick glance about Punch Club 2: Fast Forward laidbackgaming248219763.wordpress.com/2025/11/14/p...
unlabelledView post →Good incremental game with lots of story and a ton of funny humor, has good progression and never feels grindy if you know what you're doing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🥊 Punch Club 2: Fast Forward - Knockout Sequel Fun! What I Played: I dove into this for a solid chunk of time, training my fighter and climbing the ranks in the fighting scene. The story had me hooked with its surprises and twists. The Good: I enjoyed the nostalgic vibes this game gives off; it's like stepping back into the good ol' days of punch-'em-up games. The hidden pathways in the story added that extra layer of intrigue, keeping me on my toes and excited to see what was next. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In late game the developers effectively take over your character and change him completely.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chill and good vibe. But be prepared for routine
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I managed to soft lock myself out of playing the game in under 45 minutes. No energy so can't work. Spent my money on food, but now I have to buy candy to use my kitchen, and I can't work to make more money because my food bar is empty, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great time management game, INTERESTING and twisted story that will have you captivated at all time (as long as you progress)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was a fan of the first Punch Club but some of the mechanics were a little awkward. Punch Club 2 is a refinement of the formula and I think the devs did an excellent job. The attention to detail in the backgrounds is amazing and the soundtrack has been stuck in my head for days. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →everyone can play double game on this one 1) normal play 2) Find all references from historical movies
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Second rule of Punch club always punch never club
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I overall see the game as positive, but it has both strong and weak sides. Looking at it more objectively, I would say there are more negatives, but probably because of some sentiment I’m leaving a positive review anyway. I got hooked for about 3 to 4 days (around 20 hours total) and followed the story, even though it bored me a bit at times. On the plus side, there are quite a lot of side quests, and at pretty much every stage of the game there was something that pulled me away from the usual…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth your money nor your time, specially with the bugs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thumbs up most of the game. Unfortunately, it is a waste since the final boss fight and the lead-up to it is not something the game prepares you for. It's terrible at explaining things as it goes, which makes it harder than it needs to be but still, there is some satisfaction in chasing things down, experimenting or mixing builds. Much of that gets tossed for the final battle(s). For the whole game, you're focusing a build based on limited points and a huge skilltree. Then you suddenly have…
