Reminds me of Project Power with Jamie Foxx, although with a better (nastier) production method for the drugs. m.imdb.com/title/tt1034...

The kind black mom absolutely rolls with it and they both 'improv' a scene to get 'The Man' to go. Good for her. Good movie.
