60 of 104 · most liked first- Devs make a colony management simulator. People like it, and wait for for updates - Devs feel threatened by Rimworld, a game which has a completely different playerbase to this one (Survival in the space age X Primitive Society, not the same game at all) - Devs change completely the scope of the game, making the ones who bought the game expecting a cozy management sim sad. - Devs answer to all negative comments about the change aggresively. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has entirely shifted away from what was originally advertised on release and is no longer something that I enjoy. Disregard all reviews created before the most recent update as it was an entirely different game then.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The recent update completely transformed the game's atmosphere—from a charming, cozy adventure into a dark, intense war management experience. I really liked the adorable character models and the lively, fun animations in the previous version; they gave the game a warm, inviting feel. Unfortunately, the new update replaces that charm with awkward animations, and the sense of discovery has been rushed, overshadowed by the focus on war preparations. Additionally, I was really disappointed to see…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great setting and depth in this one! This is Rimworld-ish but goes a layer deeper on things like work assignments and priorities. I highly recommend working through the tutorial before you get started to avoid frustration. Give this game the proper time to understand the complexities it offers, I have never seen a civilization sim with this much attention to detail, and that will probably turn off the faint of heart, but trust me, it's worth the time investment to really get a true Primitive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually really enjoying the new revamp. The technology and culture systems are really involved and seeing the distance of the game is great! Not only is ancient chinese origins explored but also ancient mesopotamian origins. The passage of time needs a sundial, the direction of the tribe starts with setting a leader and tackling the various trees, technology (all your structures, tools, weapons and abilities) and culture (your internal bonuses as well as outward influence on other tribes)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the original version of the game, but the new "darker" version with slavery, no marriages and executions is not my bag personally. Nonetheless thanks for your work and efforts.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved that game. I played the demo guite a while and was eager to play the release version. But just a few days ago, the updated the UI and interaction schemes. It is now c r a p. The original version hat a hint of deep game play, connection to the single tribe member. Everbody felt important and developing them in a certain way was fun. Now they have been degraded to simple pawns. The whole gathering, hunting, resorce collcting interface is now c r a p . More clicks to achieve the same…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is like a mixture of Rimworld, Dawn of man and Going medieval Animation = 3 out of 5 Graphics =3 out of 5 UI = 2.5 out of 5 Content = 4 out 5 Animals = 5 out 5 I think the game has a lot of potential and judging from the latest update I feel like they are headed to the right direction. I hope the game has more thrill * where capturing and hunting animals requires trap or tools. (maybe luring to a pithole or poison food) * Melee battle are just to simple ( maybe add Weapon advantage,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not gonna lie, I can recommend this game. Sure I've only played an hour and 3 minutes but those 63 minutes were amazing. The graphics are okay. Though the music and UI aint the best yet and the "Animals" button is "Anipals". (seems to be intentional!) The controls are understandable. The tutorials are kinda wonky and require a lot of reading. The building system is understandable. The quests do require a lot of reading though. I havent experienced the combat. the crafting is good. Though,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really drawn to the game by it's early nutrition and education mechanics. Seemed like it had a niche as a slow paced cultivation like game where you would see progress happen generationally. But after a bunch of new updates, despite the graphics and UI being better, I feel like theirs less of a game to enjoy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs have clearly stated that their aim is to create a knock-off of Rim World. So, I suggest you save your money and just buy Rim World. I started playing this today, probably again, and that bouncing yellow arrow can be stuck up your ass. It is enough to have the yellow arrow. For ADHD people, it is like you are running around screaming constantly. So, stick that ♥♥♥♥ where the sun does not shine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is beautiful, i like the background and way they are handling many aspects of the game.. however, the movement and selecting of jobs and items is clunky, outdated, annoying, unintuitive and ill give this game a pass and recommend you do too until they fix the selection tool for jobs and items.. its ridiculous imho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like the game but it has some problems that i see. 1. the fact you can only play as Chinese and not any other race, in my opinion is boring i feel like the game should allow other races to be playable. 2. religion it would nice to customize the religion and culture your group starts with, like changing the name of the gods they believe in or what do they value, or if they do sacrifices or not. those thing could make it a bit more interesting. 3. being able to choose what someone is going to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I miss an expansion of the old monolith learning system, that aspect seems to have been half abandoned in favour of generic research systems. Also the lack of landscape where the game used to have mountains you had to use and plan around makes the map boring. All the multiple wifes for chinese nobles stuff takes up waaaay too much development that could be invested elsewhere. I used to hope for more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So excited the full release finally has dropped! I got hooked on the demo and was bummed that it had to be taken down leading up to the official release, so I was counting the days then hours then minutes until release! It's really fun and like rimworld except....less insane? There are still bugs, but the dev is really nice and has been attempting to remediate bugs as they appear ever since putting the game in early access (via the demo). I dont know why, but I flippin' love this game and it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what I wish city builder games would be more like. You can take control of citizens but otherwise they are largely self automated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs realized that they were failing at many colony building elements, so they went on an unannounced hiatus. Now they seem to think they're going to turn their very rough primitive colony builder into a 4x game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was a fun and really good looking game that looked so different from all the other similar games even on demo that after it came out i bought it but then they went and changed UI and some other things to look just like any other generic junk of this game genre . never saw the humans or animals as an unique or important things but i did love it that you could see their age as a meter and could see when they become adults and when they turn old , or when they will have children or can have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like what this game is trying to do, but unfortunately, there are just too many issues that make the game anything but fun and a chore to play. The AI has an insane advantage over you in every aspect, and while it is surmountable, it is still tedious and requires you to turtle. I think we start with too few tribe members, and they work far too slowly. Every aspect of gathering resources is beyond slow and always inefficient. Researching technology, culture, and cohesion is monstrously slow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is too unfinished for me to enjoy. Some cool mechanics kept me interested, but in its current state, I was way too bored and feel like my time was wasted. I bought the game when it first came out, and I think they took it in a good direction, though I think the interactions with other tribes needs a lot more refining. Controlling troops in combat is very rough and breaks the game on its own. It is difficult to select the correct units and split them up/send them where you want or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yes would recommend so far my only complaint is the words are too small needs a setting to make bigger
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game with a rather ugly and cluttered UI and text/tooltips that are often too wordy and don't make sense, it's actually a very enjoyable and detailed game to play. It has so much potential. I can only rate this up. Full review below. https://youtu.be/5oNM97aqxdQ?si=WKbwcqQykQaZUIYD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that is similar to other city builders such as Dwarf Fortress or Rimworld in functionality. Its distinction is that it takes place at the start of the Bronze Age in Ancient China (there is talk about expanding the number of starting places in the future), and you can follow the path of the future Silk Road all the way to Mesopotamia through trade, raiding, or diplomacy. Like most of these types of games, there isn't a specific goal except to keep your community going. As your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this one is different, lots of variety, I really enjoy the town building but what definitely stands out is the progression as you develop and organize your population into social groups that directly effect your economy and military, the attention to detail is impressive, lots of little things like decorating individual bedrooms and it having an impact on birth rate/mood/workspeed to diet being a key factor in peoples "stats" and impacting their vitality over time, but you can also scratch that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good base but at the moment, if they continue in this direction it's a no from me. It says primitive society simulator but the people aren't individuals. It's less about managing/simulating a society and more about roleplaying a specific society. And that society is a slave society. There's a really icky implication around the inevitability of slavery, it's perfectly possible to play without touching the mechanic but it's the only culture that comes pre researched and I do suspect that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anthropology 101, i enjoy the direction this game is taking, anticipation of what this game could be. If your reading this, this is a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a lot of fun and I did enjoy myself when playing it. From watching children growing up through the stages of life, to establishing big settlements. I also enjoyed the combat. The game makes it pretty easy to grab your villagers and establish a defensive line on the walls. The research in this game, I think could be a bit better, or if your combat oriented, allow for me to steal weapons and study upon them to further my tribe. Anipals are such a huge help. If you get a handful of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up the game close to the EA release. Tried it and saw great promise with where they were taking it. Decided to wait for a few updates before going back. Sad to see they changed paths completely from where the game started. Could it turn out to be good, sure. Could they change trajectory again, most likely. I'd wait on this and see what the end result is. Otherwise you may be going into an EA game that may change again based on the devs whims.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →refunded, purely because of that amateur Font.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got a chance to play the game and quite enjoyed my time with it. For the start of early access, there's a good amount to do and you can see some clever iterations on similar systems. Excited to see where they take it - has some twists on generational knowledge and some mechanics that are quite novel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a lot to take in initially, but this is a WILD game. I come from RTS and a limited experience with games like Frostpunk. The concept caught my eye, and there is a lot of granularity which I slowly found myself beginning to appreciate. Unlike other games though, this feels like a true 'society engine' and I'm curious to see where they go as the game gets updated towards 1.0. I do have a few specific pieces of feedback regarding tutorials and loading for which I've reached out directly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm addicted to this game even though its early access. I haven't found any problems yet but that might partly be because my computer is still quite good. I'm still learning the best ways to play this as I don't like playing tutorials and I'm having a lot of fun with it since I learned how to stop my villagers starving to death. The dev is active on here and we're expecting another update when its ready. People need to be patient :) I'm looking forward to seeing this game develop more but I'm…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just couldn't get into this title. It has potential, but other games do the genre better right now. https://youtu.be/RMIe7t1mR0I
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, fun, I did screw up on the breeding the dire wolves. Will be playing it again when they finish it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game. complex settlement builder with military and social systems that put it at the top of the genre event at this EA stage. The game looks and plays great and the systems and controls are intuiative so where translation isn't quite there yet, it's fine because you know what is meant. The building and tribe management is great, assigning leaders and sub-teams for scuedling and specialised work is something many have tried and PSS is maybe the first to succeed atleast in it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game, but it definitely needs more time to cook. Two years of development to become what it is isn't bad, but in its current state, there isn't a lot of diverse replayability like you see with some other city building games. The game does a somewhat mediocre job of explaining itself and isn't popular enough to have a comprehensive wiki, so you need to be prepared for a fair bit of trial and error. If that appeals to you like it did to me, give it a try. I would say this game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, Even the devs are active and talking to you when you have a problem, which is very nice. And very friendly :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy this game, they remade the game and changed the graphics but that really doesn't bother me I really don't care how it looks graphically has long has the game play is good and I am enjoying it, cant wait to see what this new direction brings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 'Steam' algorithm suggest's games, to me. I do not even play, or like the suggestions. I often find myself clicking and pointing, to whatever. This game, is a 'Gem' I found. I had too do a manual search, of pointing and clicking. This game has been out, for years. My lack, of my knowledge! Steam store really needs, to make, an overhaul. I didn't even wait, for it to go on sale. I bought it outright! I saw Gamer's, on YouTube play it and was impressed. This is a very different game and has a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They've got a lot of ground to cover. The UI is an absolute train wreck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a lot more like Sapiens than Going Medieval, but with a small static map. This needs to bake for another year. And proc-gen added.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a mixture of "going Medieval" and "Rimworld", but has its own charm. Very good game so far. The developers spoil us with daily updates - keep it up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its pretty bad. I'm not sure if there is a language issue, but the tutorial is worded terribly. Also, the tutorial assumes you have an understanding of the UI and know where everything is. I finally gave up and quit, as I had come to a frustration point of no return.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →has slavery and human sacrifice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the concept. Its a fun game. Still a work in progress but very playable. I have experienced no crashes. I love the generational population. I do hope they give me some more options with the slaves. Plenty of room to grow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite playable even for early access, really enjoying the chill gameplay Should become a great game once finished Dev is quite active and answering questions Keep up the good work !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun really looking forward where this game is going :))))
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is quite an enjoyable colony builder. Its just like any other colony builder but has its own unique twists in the game. Something different is that you came tame "anipals" which will help you develop your village alongside their designated companion. The new beta update expanded the game greatly which brought some much needed life back to the game. The graphics may not look as clean but it definitely helps the game play in the late game. I can scale to a rather large village without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very well thought through in regards to mechanics and the developer is actively listening to feedback (eg I really love how much the UI has improved over the time). If you want an adorable, relaxing, simulation game to always come back to, this game is it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really enjoy this game its a very nice game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is so nice. Like "Going Medieval" and “Sapiens” got a child.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do really like this game, the building of the shelters is confusing it would be better to just have the shape of the building and enable the expansion because you don't know which way it will be until you have temporarily built it, literally just for feedback when placing the beds for instance you have no idea which position they will be placed until you have placed them (a lot of deleting required) could there be some indication which way subjects lie in the beds for instance (I sound like I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not the prettiest such game, but I think it has much more depth and careful coding than other similar games. I like this one a lot (and I have a lot of games). I also appreciate it, as someone with over 40 years experience as a software developer. It's still early access (as of this writing) but it's quite solid. And the tutorials are exceptionally good, and will set you on the right path. This game is deeper than it looks, but the citizens generally do what they should, once you assign…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a bit of the tutorial (because strangely it's built separately from a normal game) and a bit of the normal game, and this is essentially "Ancient China Simulator" set in the paleolithic times. You lead your unga bunga group of ten people and build your settlement, discover tech and conquer other settlements. Gameplay wise it plays quite similarly rimworld with some extra qols present and some qols missing. For instance pawns tasked with foraging with collect resources on their own…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game crashes non stop dont waste your money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game with a lot of potential, really worth a look at if u like rim world like games but with a more grounded setting. 挞彼殷武,奋伐荆楚。深入其阻,裒荆之旅。有截其所,汤孙之绪。 维女荆楚,居国南乡。昔有成汤,自彼氐羌,莫敢不来享,莫敢不来王。曰商是常。;)
