45 of 45 · most liked firstThis game has so much potential. The new version of pong they created is actually a ton of fun and the healthbar system is pretty cool. The few boss fights there are are really cool as they are what actually resemble old Atari games the most. The problem with the game is how it fills in the gaps between the boss fights. The entire game feels like filler and you can actually just skip most of it to get to the good parts(the boss fights). This game needed to be a roguelite game or even a…

And your controller was a rotary potentiometer. Can you imagine that? I guess not :-) For people who are 20+: Mixure of Binding of Issac (but without tears) and simplified Tennis For people who are 35+ years old: Great remake of the 70s game. But with a storymode, power-ups and rogue-Like dungeons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I struggle to recommend this because if you deconstruct it, it's just a thinly-veiled card game RPG where every battle is a pong match that can drag on for stupidly long, and it's grindy af. The pong gameplay itself has the least amount of polish out of anything, and I'm specifically talking about the confusing hitboxes--the ball can just pass right through your head, or it can register a hit but go behind you anyway, or the ball can be going fast enough that it clips through your paddle…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly Fun! This game is a fun simple RPG Game, you instantly figure out how the game works and what to do. Yes there are some bugs but the game is very new so that's excusable but I can't wait to see where this game goes, I recommend this to any Atari or retro game fan. I do have some suggestions if the devs are listening 1) an online overworld 2) shirts that reference other Atari properties Now time for the Negative The game is a bit too easy, it would benefit from a hard mode There…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont even think for a second that just because you were good at pong that this game will be anything like what your used to, the damn game will randomly speed up and slow down the ball and no matter where you hit with your paddle its random on where the ball will actually go, so you might get forced into a back and forth 1v1 where the ball stays at the same latitude perpetually with no hope of going anywhere else with all the RNG and luck based mechanics this game cant be out skilled, your…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the past I played Pong so much so I was thrilled to play the 2020 version of it. The developer did a great work with renewing this game. It has a funny story, nice mini games, nice boss battles. This is one of those games where you loose time while playing. Watch some gameplay: https://youtu.be/Ud5HZV-3jUo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eg0ihdPvZj0 Much like how Yoku's Island Express made open world pinball a thing, and Golf Story made golf into a role playing game - PONG Quest takes two unexpected genres and combines them into one. At the low price of £9-£12, you're getting a lot of content to play with, and they make good efforts to avoid it falling into repetition. You'll adventure across various dungeons, each of which is based loosely off previous classic Atari…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pong, but it's got a story mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, this game started out with promise, but it just kinda stunk it up in the end. The first hour is cute and fun, but then the idea gets REALLY old. The pong gameplay is played with the keyboard and is totally uninteresting. It never poses a real challenge or offers the thrill of "real" pong, and the so-called dungeons offer nothing except the most basic process of elimination exploring. I even hit a bug where one of the dungeons couldn't be solved. I was tricked into thinking that maybe…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now this is truly a real honest-to-goodness spirit of an indie gem at its best, while technically a licensed corporate game! Why I recommend this one? Because of these! 100% free of industry plant, 111% organic hype---0% astroturfing. And absolutely 0.0% nepo game! This one is a uniquely hilarious, certified artifact from the "oldie but goldie" era—an absolute fever dream of a game that forces your brain to instantly shift into full okey-dokey mode. Are you profoundly confused?…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everyone knows the original game from Atari. It's been quite some time since the 1972 one. So I didn't expect a new PONG game in 2020. It's even being published by Atari. That's neat. But is it any good? Well, that depends on you. The singleplayer game itself is mostly perfect. I only noticed some 'hat' related hitbox issues. But for the most part, It's just a fun adventure. Multiplayer on the other hand: Truly awesome. I mean: Online PvP PONG on Steam? Amazing! The audio and the visuals are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pong says trans rights? in a unique mix of dungeon crawling Pong with special abilities, and a fairly robust set of features (including classic Pong and online PVP) no less? this is surprisingly dope for a latter day Atari title, considering what they were doing just a few years ago to the legacies of poor old Alone in the Dark and Asteroids. honestly, this is what Atari and other long-standing publishers who have no clue what to do with their vaults of classic "intellectual properties" should…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Charming visuals, but the gameplay is just so bland I can't recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished this up last night. I bought it because the aesthetic looked goofy and fun and I wanted to see what it was about; I was never much of a Pong player (Ponger :D ) , but I knew I had decent coordination at Pong wasn’t terrible at it. The general story is that you’re a new paddle and the King, seeing that you’re young and enthusiastic, assigns you the role of evaluating your worth through sending you through a series of dungeons to recover some orbs to maintain the order of the kingdom;…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the most fun Pong game out there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I was like, "I really wanna play Pong right now". An a friend reminded me this game existed. I've clicked the play button more than once if you feel me and I think I will continue to do so. It's got a snazzy personalized touch to it and plenty of games to be had. Plus you can play with your friends if you bug them enough. Grab it on sale and have some fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →decent game noticed a few bugs like screen tearing even though its locked to the frequency of your monitor
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, this lost me with keyboard controls. I wish they'd had included mouse support and make the opponents less gimped as a result. Simply not fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy a lot the idea to turn the classic Pong-game into a rpg-experience! The negative reviews here about complaining, that the ball becomes incredibly fast later are just unfair (seriously, that's just Pong for you). Each ball got effects for your Pong-hero or the combat itself. For example healing potions, harder attacks, etc. And the character creation inside is just simple and fun. But unfortunately I have to mention some bad parts as well, which are the reason why I can't 100%…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game. Not worth $15, but I paid $3 for it on the black friday sale and it's worth that. It's pong but an RPG and it has powerups. It's pretty hard to mess up Pong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is my favorite ARPG (action role-playing game) as of this moment. I'm not joking in the slightest.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad. Fighting baddies using pong and power ups. I think you get your money worth with the quests and online play and new outfits. I dont think I will finish the game. This is just not for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun idea but boring to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very smart way to make pong enjoyable for a modern audience. Great late night chill game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greatest comeback of 2020, hands down, no question, and the fact that it's damned to the corner of obscurity is a disgrace.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool. No learning curve. Interesting story line. Powerups. I like it. NOTE. iM NOW AT THE SPOOKY DOOR LEVEL 2 THE FIRE ROOM. This is very hard and frustrating. Im at 105 stamina and every battle uses fire and drains my energy so after a few battles is impossible to continue. I play the lower levels so i can go in to this one with a lot of potion balls to restore energy but these balls in this level are impossible to come by and every battle has fire. Getting too hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PONG Quest™ is, well, we all know PONG, but the best way to describe this is an officially licensed attempt to squeeze as much blood out of a dry stone as possible, and then released on consoles, and then lazily ported to PC. They slapped a basic dungeon crawler onto PONG, and added a bunch of pointless mechanics like different kinds of balls you can use, but basically the gameplay is still classic paddle vs paddle obsoleteness that saw in the era of populist video games (but in no way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tired to play it and it is $15 for a simple pong game, yes there is new stuff but it just feels like pong with extra steps. Go play regular pong on google instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game takes a boring game and adds "the grind". For an example of the best "Pong" game; look at "Pong: The Next Level" aka "Pong 3D". it was for windows 95 and PS1/PSX. There are lots of cool power-up in this game, but it is highly repetitive. The only thing I like about this game is that you can always win, based on skill (you hold on to an HP and only lose it when the other player scores).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awesome combination of Pong and RPG that I enjoyed playing, gonna love the artstyle and the paddle characters
+ Graphismes,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The classic game with charming modern styling and light strategy elements. Easy recommendation for anyone who spent their youth dueling with paddle controllers - or has ever wished they had!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game. It takes the simplicity of pong and turns it into something bigger with systems like, health, leveling, and being able to use different kinds of balls (such as zipper, making the ball move faster) to defeat your opponents adding a new level of skill. Overall, would totally recommend from my playtime so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good, well made, kinda fun - but in the end, it's just playing Pong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PONG Quest™ is a fascinating reimagining of the classic arcade game PONG, transforming it from a simple two-dimensional pong simulation into an expansive, adventure-driven RPG experience.
