unlabelledView post →Julia (1977) -- Based on a story in Lillian Hellman’s "Pentimento." Directed by Fred Zinnemann with a screenplay by Alvin Sargent. Regardless of whether it's fiction or memoir, I hope the youth of today watch this Academy-award-winning film, especially in these times.

The movie is (1) a memory — in fact it is adapted from a book titled “Pentimento” which means “a visible trace of earlier painting beneath a layer or layers of paint on a canvas”
