positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I grew up with Macintosh, so we only had a handful of computer games like Myst, 7th Guest, Titanic: Adventure Out of Time, and my personal fave educational game: Pajama Sam No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside. I asked my dad for Riven for years but never got to play it until I was an adult XD

Many strange & fun interactions you don't expect. Love the message at the end for finding all animals. Makes me wanna draw more weird scrimblos.

Are the minigames very rudimentary? At times. Is the game cheesy? Yes, but arguably that's just part of the charm of these older HE Big Huge Adventure games. Plus, the game works really well as a logic exercise in flowcharting. Also obligatory Bagabagoosh and High Demon Elgrim mention (thanks Doug)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best video game I have ever played. I was in a rough mental state when I first found this game. It changed my life entirely. After my wife left me and my kids disowned me, I felt like it was all over. Then, my favourite YouTuber "DougDoug: Published Author" played this game. I thought it looked fun, so I spent £4.99 Great British Pounds on this game. That was the best £4.99 of my entire life. When I first played this game, it was the most life-changing experience of my life. People…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After all this time, finally, I have seen the end credits of Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside. I still have the original CD but I haven't been able to run it on a computer in a very long time. It's great fun even if you're a grown adult.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've genuinely never played a better game. The storytelling? Stellar. The visual style? Breathtaking. The puzzles? Endless brain ticklers. You will NOT regret purchasing this game. I recommend that everyone has at least 10 hours on this magnificent work of art that has been BLESSED upon us by Humongous Entertainment. I cannot imagine going back to life without this game. It is life changing. My outlook on life has been completely renewed. I am a new man. A new being, a new breed of human…

unlabelledView post →The pure intensity of which Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside summons upon your very soul when you play the game is unmatched by another game in the gaming industry. This game isn't just about facing the fear of the darkness but it's a journey across the vast horizon of what is hiding in this world. Talking trees, talking boats, and talking minecarts. Could this all be one giant mystery made by the one and only High Demon Elgrim? What mysteries could they also be hiding in the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've always adored how striking the scenery in the Pajama Sam series are, the more bright and "realistic" colors of the second game aren't as awe-inspiring as the cool, mysterious tones of the first and even third games but I love the mechanical theming and detail in the Weather Center.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly I was surprised how much I enjoyed playing this game as an adult, while never actually playing Pajamas Sam games as a kid. Yes, it's gameplay is simple, but not Putt Putt levels of simple. For example, characters don't straight up tell you where all the needed items are, or Sam doesn't say "hey, I already have a solution for X thing", it's a small difference between PS and Putt Putt which makes PS so much more enjoyable to play. It's just fun solving item puzzles here in general, like…
