positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It wasn't so frightening up until the moment it asked me what Unemployment means
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game! I don't understand how this is a kids game because some of the stuff is hard to figure out. Maybe I'm just retarded idk but it's so fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →no longer frightened by thunder and lightning
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this as a kid and just could not figure out the last 2 weather machine parts... Playing this game was a nostalgia trip. After over 2 decades I helped Sam fix the mess he caused. It's a children's game; any adult could beat this in an hour but it's still adorable with much to explore and click on. Is it educational? If it is, I barely noticed because they were so subtle about it and they teach about things I consider just basic knowledge but it's a great introduction to the…

The game itself is really good and it’s really vibrant and colourful. #justbeatit @polykillpodcast.bsky.social

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game 3: Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't so Frightening The weird original Pajama Sam game that doesn't exist in the nighttime/twilight theming. Thunder & Lightning feel way more like a lesbian couple than my kid brain remembered but apparently they are SISTERS? Huh... weird. #205in2025

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS IS THE WORST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED IT MADE ME WANT TO KILL MYSELF
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good sequel to Pajama Sam 1 And, like the first game, it's actually fun to play even as an adult, since it's not actually that simple(well, still is mostly). Although the game did actually increase the difficulty of p&c adventure puzzles slightly, so you might actually get stuck once or twice, but only for a few minutes. It honestly feels like a perfect difficulty that should've been presented in all Humongous Entertainment games. On top of the gameplay, everything else is top notch as…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this for an April Fools day stream & enjoyed it quote a lot, very charming animations & voice work plus really beautiful backgrounds. Big fan of Thunder & Lighting they are a wonderful lesbian couple!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably my favorite of the Pajama Sam games, the main game is pretty good by itself but I'd sometimes spend hours just playing the mini board game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →80. Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't So Frightening While I prefer the general atmosphere and messaging of the first game, the puzzle element and writing is definitely better in this game, so this definitely stands well on its own as a classic Humongous Entertainment game. 15/20

The artistic direction, idea and general vibe of this game is super good. I really enjoy the story, characters and puzzles inside this game even just for a small game to play with friends. I streamed this whole play through with my friends and it was a blast. Truly kids games aren't made with this much love and care anymore and it is disheartening.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bigger and better than the last, but I feel like the colors and setting is a downgrade. Still definitely a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great for kids.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't So Frightening is an ancient family friendly 1998/DOS era point and click adventure game running on Steam thanks to the ScummVM engine. Gameplay involves Maniac Mansion/Monkey Island style point and click adventuring combined with a few minigames and "activities" intended to keep young children occupied. This game is over 25 years old, it's ancient. 4:3, fixed resolution (looks like VGA). Weirdly, the devs have patched it from time to time, but this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The second title in the Pajama Sam series isn't as good as the first - but it certainly isn't bad. Taking another scary element for kids and turning it into an adventure, we are tasked with stopping Thunder and Lightning from making all that noise outside! Some elements of the game are improved such as navigating around - other aspects like figuring out where your objectives are may be a bit more difficult though. I sort of feel that this title missed the mark a bit in the Edutainment…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pajama Sam is a childhood classic! Still enjoyable as adult, 10/10 would recommend. I love how you can interact with almost everything. Great sound effects too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren’t So Frightening This is the second installment in the Pajama Sam series, and my favourite of the group. In this adventure, Sam is frightened of the storm raging outside, and decides to put a stop to the thunder. He goes up to his attic, which takes him to Worldwide Weather, where the weather is controlled. Upon his arrival, and a misstep, he accidentally causes part of the system to break and machine components to go missing. As a result, the weather…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought a pack of the Humongous Entertainment titles because they were nostalgic for me and because I have 20+ Nephews and Nieces ages 1-15 that visit semi regularly and like to play on my computer. I thought they might really enjoy these games like I had when I was a kid however they have tended to want to play the newer types of games that have nicer graphics and controls over these old games that are clunky by today's standards. because these games haven't managed to attract an audience of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The amount of joy I felt when I saw these games were available on Steam is unmeasurable! You don't understand just how much these games meant to me as a child! I really appreciate that you kept it so it randomly generates where the parts you need are. I don't care how old I am now. I'm going to play these over and over again just like I used to. Thank you so so much! <3
