Adolph Eichmann was a ghoul, nonetheless. It taught me some stuff that I did not know, and lit a fire of interest in me to read more into the hunt >WWII
unlabelledView post →I watched (again) Operation Finale. Story of Adolf Eichmann and his capture . It’s a great film. This time it was even better as each time I saw Eichman I pictured Stephen Miller
unlabelledView post →Another movie Americans should acquaint themselves with (since the only way Americans learn 𝘢𝘯𝘺 fucking history is via movies) is Operation Finale, the capture of Adolf Eichmann 15 years after the end of WW2 and realise that 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.

Plays much like Argo, taking an intelligence operation and sexing it up for a film. Ben Kingsley does a good job of portraying Eichmann’s callous nature. 6/10

unlabelledView post →Wednesday night movie was OPERATION FINALE. It was fine. Ben Kingsley was great. It's unusual to see Israel going into another state to capture a specific person alive, rather than just bombing the entire town, hoping he's one of the victims alongside all the women & children. A different time, eh?

unlabelledView post →There was that series on Prime, with Pacino...? (Before I cancelled Prime) Still like the character Olivier played in 'Boys from Brazil' 'Operation Finale' may be the best film on Nazi hunters. "about a 1960 clandestine operation by Israeli commandos to capture former SS officer Adolf Eichmann"
unlabelledView post →I rewatched Operation Finale last night, and the obvious propaganda of that movie practically leapt off the screen and smacked me around the chops.
unlabelledView post →This evening's film. Operation Finale.
unlabelledView post →Operation Finale isn't a good movie but I appreciate that despite the fake subplots added to make Israel's single moral act more "dramatic" they accurately portrayed taking out the Nazis as secondary and almost an afterthought to Israel's focus on war against the Arab states.
unlabelledView post →Maybe Monuments Men? It's got that group dynamic of disparate experts bought together by circumstance. Female Agents (an excellent French film). Operation Finale? Oh Munich is excellent but grim, but might fit the group dynamic you're looking for.

unlabelledView post →Yeah, I've noticed a lot of the Blumhouse movies don't get great reviews, but I guess they have their moments. Afraid is directed by Chris Weitz, whose last directed film was 6 years ago (Operation Finale, which I liked). He also co-directed About a Boy with his brother Paul. But he's more known...

unlabelledView post →Kingsley reminds me a bit of Laurence Olivier in playing a mengele-type in MARATHON MAN and a nazi hunter of mengele in THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL. The last WWII movie with Kingsley saw him making a list of Jewish people for a good reason. OPERATION FINALE is leaving Netflix soon. Worth it.

It took place in 1960; Mossad kidnapped ADOLF Eichmann, he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the SS. He worked for Reinhart Heydrich, the architect of the Final Solution.
