Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return
This special explores the return of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to the screen, as well as Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to their classic roles. Director Deborah Chow leads the cast and crew as they create new heroes and villains that live alongside new incarnations of beloved Star Wars characters, and an epic story that dramatically bridges the saga films. Disney has revealed today that it spent $60.5 million (£47.9 million) on the second season of Star Wars streaming series Andor in 2024 ahead of its debut in April this year giving the show a total cost of $705.5 million (£552.7 million) which was within the budget but still far higher than the spending on any of the movies in the sci-fi saga. Disney has had a mixed bag of results from its Star Wars shows and movies since it…

A dad cuts off his son's hand with a sword before proposing regicide and the forming of a totalitarian alliance. Erm.

I'm genuinely interested in the era, but it's sometimes seemed a little faltering, and I think the episodic structure hasn't always worked to the show's favor. But I've seen the Star Wars Holiday Special, and The Acolyte most certainly isn't worse than that. When you look at the actual reviews, the comments are often wince-worthy; I…
