Nightcrawler (2014) 🎥 Rating: Creepy Jake Gyllenhaal has got to get smaller eyes. Crazy fuckin train ride of a movie. Couldve gone a lot of ways, but I like the route it did take. Riz Ahmed is great in this. But really Jake is the major sell he’s SO CONVINCING IN THIS. FUUUCK.

It’s fine, but far from a classic with rewatch value. 2014 John would compare this to movies like Whiplash or Nightcrawler and in comparison called it forgettable. It only stands out due to a weak year of cinema. The 1 hour dog subplot was meandering and killed any momentum.
