I want a Stack/Mary "New Jack City" style 90's vampire crime drama. I don't *need* any of these films. But holy shit, do I wanna continue visiting this world.

neutral · AI labelView post →Was enjoying some NEW JACK CITY with him as the literal conscience of the movie. Fee would be able to handle that.

neutral · AI labelView post →One of my favorite quotes of all time from the movie New Jack City. "Meanwhile, the rich get richer..." And the poor don't get a fuckin' thing."

neutral · AI labelView post →NEW JACK CITY, a film so powerful you can forget Judd Nelson was billed above the title
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching New Jack City. It's very stylish, I thought it took place in an alternate universe; It's just a hyper 90s reality. Didn't think it was gonna be a sort of buddy cop movie taking place during the introduction of Crack in America. It's a crime drama that pays more attention to the criminals
positive · AI labelView post →Share a 90s movie you will always love! New Jack City (1991)

positive · AI labelView post →Even by the standards of action movies, the Fast and Furious movies have incredibly limited emotional range. I was looking at his IMDB page, and maybe the claim is literally true. Back in the 1990s he was in New Jack City, then Saving Private Ryan, and then The Iron Giant. Those were well written movies with emotional range. Since then it has basically been Fast and Furious, XXX, The Chronicles of Riddick. The only real exception has been the Guardians of the Galaxy stuff, which were goofy…
neutral · AI labelView post →Courtney A. Kemp’s #Nemesis is one of the best original Netflix shows this year. A mix of Heat with New Jack City and, of course, Power - Nemesis has a perfect balance of heist movie, cops and robbers, and nighttime soap melodrama. On top of that, it's full of beautiful Black people in Los Angeles.
neutral · AI labelView post →I, a male who grew up in the video shop era, somehow made it to this age without having seen New Jack City. I would have watched it a lot sooner if I'd realised it was a Blaxploitation film made about 15 years after the rest of them.
neutral · AI labelView post →And now here I stand on the edge of a Simon Phoenix future at the start of Taco Bell's restaurant war ascension and I just want to look at him and be like 'lol, you said New Jack City was the more important movie. Haha, here enjoy this chalupa supreme. I have ribbed AND smooth shells for later.'
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm not saying Jesse Watters should be beaten to within an inch of what passes for him as a life with a bat. I'm just saying if that happened? You could see my exact reaction to that event by watching the final minutes of the film New Jack City.
neutral · AI labelView post →Even New Jack City had a mini one in the middle of the film.
neutral · AI labelView post →You know what’s the most hilarious part about New Jack City while I rewatched? Nino Brown dancing crazy after being a criminal mastermind all movie lmfaoooooooooooo….
neutral · AI labelView post →New Jack City is a fantastic movie because you got Wesley Snipes going what could only be described as full on “Ghetto Shakespearean” with his performance and then everyone else is just either hamming it up in an attempt to match him but failing or phoning it the F U C K in but it all works!

neutral · AI labelView post →Watching the underrated Wet Day flick New Jack City instead. I miss movies putting like four bangers in the first ten minutes to sell the soundtrack. You could make a genuinely great album from a soundtrack and add a half star to any movie.
positive · AI labelView post →New Jack City (1991). I don’t care what it says about me, but I will watch this movie anytime I come across it. I was in high school when it came out, and to me it’s one of the best #movies of the #90s and among the best of contemporary Black films. Legendary soundtrack, too. #BlackHistoryMonth
positive · AI labelView post →Gangster films King of New York and New Jack City hit theaters just six months apart and both have Wesley Snipes. But in a movie battle, which one comes out on top? My latest podcast episode sorts it out. You can listen here: apple.co/42BvJ1B spoti.fi/40DFTMv #filmsky #moviesky #review
neutral · AI labelView post →I went alone to see "New Jack City" in Vallejo, CA in 1991. I was one of a few white people in the audience, and had never seen a film with a black audience before. The vibe was electric - people shouting at Wesley Snipes' villain, laughing at Chris Rock hitting the crack pipe, etc. It was amazing.
positive · AI labelView post →Predator 2 night. Definitely plays up the US gang violence world as a lot of films did then (Colors, Juice, New Jack City, etc.), the same way the first film did the jungle war thing as almost a separate movie within a movie than the alien visitors.

neutral · AI labelView post →New Jack City vampire coven is such a good idea. I fucking love this movie so much.
positive · AI labelView post →actually not. His breakout role was in New Jack City alongside Wesley Snipes. It was also the first time he played a cop and he was very cool in that movie.

neutral · AI labelView post →New Jack City (1991) It has the bones of a Code-era crime doesn’t pay flick but in the crack era. Endless swagger, Chris Rock going through withdrawal, and the hardest title track of the decade. youtu.be/pumf6m7d14w?...
neutral · AI labelView post →Those ICE agents need to get it done like what happened in the movie New Jack City.
neutral · AI labelView post →I've also seen New Jack City a crazy amount of times. All under the age of 16 I really do like that movie
positive · AI labelView post →Idk if it was fun. Back in 91. Went to see New Jack City at The Regal in downtown Cincinnati at 10pm in the snow. My dude that was with me left me early in the movie for the popcorn lady. Last bus was at midnight. I got 2 knives with me. Made it home safe. GOD was with me fr🙏🏽❤️🤝🏾

positive · AI labelView post →I love <redacted vampire film> but it's New Jack City by miles
positive · AI labelView post →You need to watch both Breakin’ films now. (In the UK it was called Breakdance) They are totally cheesy 80s cult classics. Ice-T’s first film appearances were in the series, 3 years before his debut album and 6 years before his iconic role in New Jack City.
neutral · AI labelView post →I literally thought they were going to say it had something to do with the movie "New Jack City"
neutral · AI labelView post →Note to self: make a New Jack City style gangster movie that has True Name Magic in an urban setting. Everyone has street names in order to conceal their true names so that they can avoid true name magic being used on them, and are digging for each other's true names to use as weapons.
neutral · AI labelView post →King of New York is a better film, but New Jack City is pretty important in the history of black cinema.
neutral · AI labelView post →Which now that I think about it came out in... '91(?), so at the time I was barely 17 meself. So it's entirely possible that was also MY first R-rated -- no it wasn't, I tagged along with my brother and a bunch of his friends to see New Jack City, THAT was my first R-rated movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched New Jack City! better than every 80s crime movie, about how you can't scarface your way out of anti-blackness. not a revolutionary masterpiece, acting is spotty in parts, but I do want to kiss the costume designer for Wesley Snipes in this one on the lips.
neutral · AI labelView post →I recently watched Blowback, a very generic Van Peebles serial killer thriller from 2000, and one of the only bright spots was that he namedropped Nino Brown thus placing the movie in the NJCCU (New Jack City Cinematic Universe)
