neutral · AI labelView post →Ne Zha 2 probably the worst movie I have seen in a theater in a decade-plus. Would have walked out after 15 minutes but was invited by friends and didn't want to be rude 🙃
negative · AI labelView post →Two new records for "Ne Zha 2" today in China: - 2 billion US$ at the box office - 300 million admissions No film has ever achieved this in a single country before.
neutral · AI labelView post →2025 has now seen 3 major movie box office records broken: Biggest July 4th weekend opening ever — Jurassic World: Rebirth Biggest Memorial Day Weekend box office ever — Lilo & Stitch/Mission Impossible Biggest animated movie ever — Ne Zha 2
neutral · AI labelView post →Chinese film “Ne Zha 2” became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time earlier this year, mostly because of its massive popularity in China.
neutral · AI labelView post →Zootopia 2 has now surpassed Inside Out 2 at the box office and has become the highest-grossing American animated film of all time, only being behind Ne Zha 2. I had a feeling this was gonna be a big film, but even I'm amazed how quickly it broke the record in a short time.
neutral · AI labelView post →1 year ago today, ‘NE ZHA 2’ became the highest-grossing animated film of ALL TIME. The film shattered global box office records and cemented itself as one of the biggest non-Hollywood movie successes ever.
neutral · AI labelView post →The rules of what animation can achieve at the box office are being rewritten in front of our eyes. It took just 21 days for 'Ne Zha 2' to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time. It took the previous record holder 'Inside Out 2' 80 days of global release to reach the same amount.
neutral · AI labelView post →Movie: Ne Zha II Language: Mizo Country: India
neutral · AI labelView post →For Oscar-winning actor Michelle Yeoh, it is time for Hollywood to focus more on Asian mythological characters like the ones showcased in the Chinese film ‘Ne Zha 2,’ which has become the highest-grossing animated film in history worldwide. #michelleyeoh #nezha2 #animatedfilm #china #mythology
neutral · AI labelView post →‘Ne Zha 2’ is now the #2 trending movie on HBO Max’s Top 10 Movies chart. It is currently the only animated film in the top 10.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watch the trailer for Ne Zha 2 🎥 Featuring a new English-language voice cast led by Michelle Yeoh, the film will be released in theaters nationwide August 22 via A24 and CMC Pictures.
neutral · AI labelView post →When Inside Out 2 broke the record to become the new highest grossing animated film, I did not expect that it would only hold on to its title for about 9 months...let alone be dethroned by a Chinese animated movie. And the craziest part is that Ne Zha 2 is only getting started.
neutral · AI labelView post →Congratulations to Ne Zha 2 for becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time! It has beaten both The Lion King (2019) and Inside Out 2 in the box office.
neutral · AI labelView post →A24 has revealed they've acquired the US rights to release Ne Zha 2 which will be released with a new English dub on August 22. I really liked the first film and I didn't get the chance to see it initially in February, but I'm hyped to finally see it soon! Cannot wait!
positive · AI labelView post →I finally got to see Ne Zha 2 at last and I can see why this became the highest grossing animated film of all time. It is an insane thrill ride filled with some amazing action, dazzling animation, and an epic scale. It’s a phenomenal sequel and I really loved it.
positive · AI labelView post →‘Ne Zha 2’ is currently the #3 trending movie on HBO Max’s Top 10 Movies chart.
neutral · AI labelView post →*Ne Zha 2 becomes the 5th highest grossing film of all time* Donald Trump: I took offense to that.
neutral · AI labelView post →This moment in the movie still hasn't left me. Ne Zha crying on screen had me bawling non-stop 🥲 . #nezha | #sketches
positive · AI labelView post →It’s official, Zootopia 2 has surpassed Inside Out 2 to become the highest grossing animated film of all time…………..from Hollywood. It’s actually the second (It’s Ne Zha 2 that’s the biggest animated film of all time). But yes, it is the highest grossing AMERICAN animated film ever.
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm all for K-Pop Demon Hunters but it's quite bad that all of the animated picture nominees were Western made films in a year that Ne Zha 2 became the highest grossing animated film of all time (also highest of 2026 overall). Demon Slayer also became the highest grossing Japanese film of all time.
neutral · AI labelView post →It's our picks for the best Chinese movie of 2025! This year, we have two kick-ass animated films at the top of our list, and Ne Zha 2 is, surprisingly, not one of them. We also have 6 honourable mentions to further boost your movie backlog. Come check it out! youtu.be/phV7FnJpD58 Happy Holidays!
neutral · AI labelView post →‘Ne Zha 2’ hits $2 billion milestone. It is now the seventh-highest grossing film in history.
neutral · AI labelView post →The runaway success of the Chinese NE ZHA films got me incredibly curious to check them out. Turns out they're 1) super fun and 2) speak to the globalization of commercial films going in two-way direction these days. Wrote about it here, enjoy! www.patreon.com/posts/123832...
positive · AI labelView post →It’s actually great that the highest grossing animated film ever is made and produced by a foreign animation studio instead of the usual big mainstream Hollywood studios. The fact Ne Zha 2 will become the first animated film to reach over 2 billion dollars is insane!
neutral · AI labelView post →NE ZHA 2 has surpassed FROZEN to become the 5th-highest grossing animated film of all time. The film's $1.3 billion (and growing) gross is entirely from China, whereas all the other top-grossing animated titles on the list were released globally to far larger audiences.
neutral · AI labelView post →Chinese sensation ‘Ne Zha 2’ overtakes ‘Inside Out 2’ as highest-grossing animated feature of all-time in a single market. The film is on course to become the highest-grossing film in Chinese history.
neutral · AI labelView post →The Oscars (and why it'll probably suck) A deep dive into Wicked Ne Zha 2, worth being the highest grossing animated movie?
neutral · AI labelView post →Seriously, it hasn't even been a month since Ne Zha 2 was released in theaters (it came out on January 29). I recommend keeping an eye on it because it's now very likely that it will be the first ever animated movie to make over $2 billion at the box office.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ne Zha 2 made more than 2 billion dollars. It's the highest grossing animated film of all time. It's the fifth highest grossing film, IN GENERAL, of all time. What the fuck.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ne Zha 2 update: * $837 million in 9 days * Highest-grossing animated film in a single market (beating Inside Out 2's $653M US gross) * Biggest animation opening of all-time ($434M), beating Moana 2 ($386M). Ne Zha's gross all from one territory; Moana 2 from 49 territories.
neutral · AI labelView post →See also: their borderline xenophobic crashout when Ne Zha 2 became the highest grossing animated movie. I am not going to act like I am better than everyone else, there are still plenty of movies I need to watch and I do like plenty of mainstream movies, but I wish the animation community-
neutral · AI labelView post →‘Lilo & Stitch’ has surpassed ‘A Minecraft Movie’ to become the 2nd highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025. ‘Ne-Zha 2’ still holds the record as being the 1st.
neutral · AI labelView post →'Ne Zha 2' has now become the highest-grossing animated film of all-time at the global box office, passing previous record-holder 'Inside Out 2.' The Walt Disney Company had held the title for 82 of the last 87 years. Live updates: www.cartoonbrew.com/box-office-r...
neutral · AI labelView post →NE ZHA 2 has surpassed THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE to become the 4th-highest grossing animated film of all time – and the 17th-highest-grossing movie of all time. Per Deadline's update this afternoon, NE ZHA 2's gross is now at $1.37B.
neutral · AI labelView post →Also NE ZHA 2, the actual highest grossing film of the year, is animated. Also LILO AND STITCH, the third highest grossing film, is a remake of an animated movie. Also AVATAR 3, which could theoretically be #1 when all is said and done, just like the last two, is almost entirely animated.
neutral · AI labelView post →The first film is a fart comedy for babies. "Ne Zha 2" starts out the same way—but all of a sudden, it radically transforms into one of the most dazzling, brain-breakingly enormous epics ever made. Catch it big. There's nothing like it. Out in the US 8/22: www.ign.com/articles/ne-...
positive · AI labelView post →LIVE UPDATES: 'Ne Zha 2' has overtaken 'Frozen 2' to become the 3rd-highest-grossing animated film in theatrical history. Ongoing coverage here: www.cartoonbrew.com/box-office-r...
neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight's movie. Ne Zha 2. It's half time rn. I went in expecting a kid's movie but I wasn't expecting on-screen deaths lol. The animation quality and choreography is great, though the subs are really basic with occasional grammar mistakes.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched Ne Zha 2 with some friends tonight and holy shit this is actually the most incredible animated film I’ve ever seen, ever. The scale, the spectacle, the super creative power use, ugh, it’s amazing. It does directly follow the first one which is nothing in comparison to its sequel
positive · AI labelView post →Okay, Ne Zha 2 is out on streaming. Now I can show you what I meant by Ne Zha 2 being Dragon Ball Z. When I saw this scene in the movie, I knew exactly what I was in for: a hype action flick made from someone's childhood fantasy.
positive · AI labelView post →Ne Zha II is a must-see in theaters, and if you come home from it looking for more films from Chinese animation studios, I've got you covered! Here are some of my favorites that you can easily watch at home - and yes, a lot of them are Eastern Fantasy. 👇🏽Expand your animation palette👇🏽
positive · AI labelView post →Ne Zha II is the highest grossing animated film and its being released by A24 - people, critics, creators reallllly need to start expanding what they view animation as and where they come from. Really hope this release is a big moment.
neutral · AI labelView post →This makes a lot of sense because Dead To Rights is a big studio picture about the Nanjing Massacre that made like 380 million dollars which takes precedent over a prestige movie. Ne Zha 2 or any anime not being on there is WILD though. bsky.app/profile/jjdo...
neutral · AI labelView post →Don’t sleep anymore, Ne Zha！ You’ve already made your mark in film history！ （PS：Just a little brag, my former colleague worked as the storyboard director on this film. So happy for him !） #illustration #fanart #哪吒2 #NeZha2
neutral · AI labelView post →Ne Zha 2 is already the highest grossing animated film of all time and the fifth highest grossing film of all time -- all without ever even playing in North America!
neutral · AI labelView post →If you are watching Ne Zha, expect OG Dragon Ball. If you are watching Ne Zha 2, expect Dragon Ball Z. That's how I'd describe these movies. Anyway, spoiler for the fight scene from the first film. But I'm sure you can see the influence, in both comedy and action.
neutral · AI labelView post →Ne Zha 2 recently passed Star Wars: The Force Awakens to become the 5th biggest movie of all time with nearly $2.1 Billion.
neutral · AI labelView post →You can tell how America centric Letterboxd is when Ne Zha 2 is about to become the highest grossing animated film of all time and yet the 3rd most popular film this week is Bridget jones 4. A movie you, my followers, didn’t know existed until right now.
neutral · AI labelView post →New video! If you are curious about the success of Ne Zha 2 and would like to enjoy the film to its fullest, this is the video for you! In this video, we'll discuss Nezha's literary origins, how he changed with time, and what he symbolizes in China today. youtu.be/GwBIY-EK7h8

positive · AI labelView post →We got a chance to catch Ne Zha 2 at the cinema today, I was very impressed, and had to keep reminding myself I was watching it in London. More from me soon. #film
positive · AI labelView post →Between Ne Zha 2 becoming the biggest animated movie and now this, we are truly in a new age for animation beyond the mainstream.
