They want to watch a horror movie, but there was a scene where Vald needed Lars's closeness to calm down. 😅 w/ @grumpyshetona.bsky.social 's Lars-Narvik 💞 #ValdYmir 🧋 — #CyborgLars

unlabelledView post →Narvik is a pretty good Netflix movie about Norwegian police being pressured to work with Nazis to crush descent and expel/kill minorities.

Set during WWII, depicting the events of the Battles of Narvik in northern Norway between April & June 1940.

Had voted against Chamberlain in the Narvik debate, which is possibly why Macmillan stood by him. His crime was lying to the House rather than the affair.
unlabelledView post →Why not both? Two of the German destroyers were on their way to Narvik anyway. Do a Master and Commander opening movie scene with the Glowworm battle, then on to Narvik including the sinking of the Norwegian coastal battleships and the German destroyers, the failure of the German subs?
unlabelledView post →Drobak and First Narvik would work better as a movie than Glowworm, badass though that action was.

Europe is somewhat reluctantly waking up to the fact 😓 Concerning Norway, a film I saw recently came to mind, that I feel touching somewhat on current events. "Kampen om Narvik". Have you seen it? Also with Nazis (The O.G. kind)
unlabelledView post →Wonderful! I went thru there on my trip thru Norway. Love Norway says this PA USA lady. A gripping, gripping Norwegian movie about Narvik in WW2 is on Netflix. My cats left the room when I watched it - it was so tense.
unlabelledView post →I found the 2022 Norwegian movie "Narvik" well worth watching. Using fictional characters in historical drama is good way to have flexibility in telling story without departing from the facts. What mother did to save her son is ethical quandary but understandable. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC05...

unlabelledView post →Oooh, I may have to look that one up. I've enjoyed every Norway-based WW2 film so far. The latest was Narvik. Another is 12th Man (OK), but a more interesting is the one where two shot down crews end up in the same shack - British & German. Into the White.
unlabelledView post →Ja, godt poeng. Sist jeg betalte for Netflix var for å se én film. Tror nesten ikke jeg så noe mer der den måneden. Jeg skal se Narvik i det minste.
unlabelledView post →If you didn't know, the northern Norwegian town of Narvik was crucial to the supply of iron ore to the Third Reich and so when they decided to invade that country in 1940, it was one of their important targets to secure. The British and the French were initially around to support the valiant efforts of the Norwegian army to defend the port and "Major Omdal" (Henrik Mestad) is the no-nonsense officer charged with moulding his small force of enthusiastic but inexperienced men into something…
neutral · AI labelView post →Great movie! Many underestimate how well scandinavian movies can be. I can also suggest Narvik (2022), April 9th (2015) and the Bombardment (2021).
unlabelledView post →Watching the 2022 Film Narvik on Netflix, which depicts the Battles of Narvik from April - June 1940, Directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg. Another good film an about Norwegians killing Nazi’s. The only good Nazi is a Dead Nazi.
unlabelledView post →That's a great film. One of quite a few recent Euro releases based on occupation and resistance. Max Manus Man Of War, Flame and Citron, The Bombardment, Narvik, The Resistance Fighter, Anthropoid, Army of Crime, too many to list...
unlabelledView post →Yeah, the Tribals at Narvik should probably get a movie deal.
unlabelledView post →Watched another WW2 movie on Netflix. The title was Narvik. Takes place in Narvik, Norway. It is said this was Hitler's first loss in the war. Though it was short-lived. The Norwegians, France, and Great Britain were able to recapture the city and evacuate the civilians before the Germans
