Mr. Jones
In 1933, Welsh journalist Gareth Jones travels to Ukraine, where he experiences the horrors of a famine. Everywhere he goes he meets henchmen of the Soviet secret service who are determined to prevent news about the catastrophe from getting out. Stalin’s forced collectivisation of agriculture has resulted in misery and ruin—the policy is tantamount to mass murder. From TMDB

Watch my film Mr. Jones that provides haunting historical context of Russia's genocide of Ukraine, aided by Western corruption in 1933, much like today. positive · AI labelView post →Going to see The Brutalist. Mr. Jones producer Klaudia Smieja was the Polish producer on the film. Wonder if I'll recognize any shots in Poland, one of my favorite countries to live and work in. Hope to be back soon.

neutral · AI labelView post →If you’re curious about the soviet-russian mindset of Ukraine, you may be interested in a film which has just recently been released called “Mr Jones.” It goes back to the Holodomor & the stealing of grain to fund Stalin’s mobilisation. From what I’ve read so far, you’ve made this film with the same indie spirit as the comics. We are slowly learning that process matters as much as product, the how as much as the what. Best wishes

Americans are yet 'all' starving, but he'll be sitting in that monstrosity while citizens go hungry. #AmericansAreFucked
