The audience is supposed to see this as flagrant disregard for privacy and due process.

They've currently got The Zone of Interest, Minority Report, I Saw the TV Glow, The Conversation, the original Indian Jones movies, etc. Also rare older stuff like Trace of Stones (1966). Kanopy is neat.
unlabelledView post →If you released a movie titled “Minority Report” with the premise of arresting people who have committed no crimes it might hit differently nowadays.
unlabelledView post →Minority Report is such a wild movie because half the technology is like just a hologram version of stuff we’d have 10 years later and then they just throw in self driving cars that magnetically go up the side of buildings for no real reason.
unlabelledView post →I’ll tell you a videogame that was simultaneously extremely good and absolutely unplayable and it was the Minority Report game that has zero redeeming qualities except for the devs seeing the non lethal sound gun in the movie and deciding everyone you hit should ragdoll 30 feet

unlabelledView post →So much of the future-tech in the 2002 film Minority Report now exists, so I think it's finally time to start making Samantha Morton psychic.
unlabelledView post →One of my more pedantic nitpicks is finding it annoying that people forget that in the movie Minority Report the "tech" was not AI or fancy algos but three psychic orphans with weird drug-induced aliments who spend most of their time in a milk pool

unlabelledView post →This is my poster for Minority Report - Tom Cruise running of course! Love this movie. You wouldn't believe how long it took to do that alleyway! Sadly never got printed.
unlabelledView post →Because someone saw and loved Minority Report and even though the whole film is a cautionary tale about prosecuting people before they do something, modern tech is all about watching sci fi films and doing the thing the films warned against. It's why we have Palantir and Soylent.

unlabelledView post →It's either the time a girl left to go to the bathroom 15 minutes into Minority Report and just . . . never came back or the time an extremely attractive goth chick got WAY WAY WAY too into an artsy film about a necrophiliac female undertaker. Stopped going to that theatre after that.
unlabelledView post →Wish the part under criminal affiliations was showing too- because Rubio claims they can deport for “future crimes” like he thinks the sci-fi movie Minority Report is modern justice
unlabelledView post →That Chris Pratt "watch me use a computer for 2 hours" Minority Report wanna be movie looks horrendous but I respect the HELL out of Rebecca Ferguson for what appears to be a leading role she could have shot in like 2 days of work all while sitting down. THAT'S a pro
unlabelledView post →As portrayed in the 2002-ish film "Minority Report." In one scene, Cruise is walking through a mall (or similar), and all the flashing ads begin addressing him personally.
unlabelledView post →It's weird, I like Minority Report as a movie but I don't think if it as a Spielberg movie in my mind, it's very much a Tom Cruise movie in my head. Where as War of the Worlds definitely is a Speilberg movie, despite also starring Tom Cruise.
unlabelledView post →A new amendment to the Administrative Offenses Code of Georgia on “PREVENTIVE DETENTION” dangerously echoes the dystopian sci-fi novel and movie Minority Report, where police arrest people solely based on predictions. #TerrorinGeorgia #GeorgiaProtests
unlabelledView post →Out of the most morbid of curiosity, I read a plot synopsis for that film "Mercy" and I have to say it is THE most 2020s thing to make a movie that's basically Minority Report, except they don't resolve the systematic issues that caused all the issues in the film by the end.
unlabelledView post →Has AI startup Flock seen the movie Minority Report?
unlabelledView post →I'm watching Minority Report and the ubiquity of biometric scanning in the movie, which is presented as a bad thing, is hilarious considering that the movie is supposed to be in 2037 and the majority of the technology is present in our year of 2024. Except the jet packs and weird ass highways.
unlabelledView post →Rebecca Ferguson somehow managed to create palpable romantic chemistry with Tom Cruise, but now she’s accepted the REAL impossible mission: Acting opposite late-stage Chris Pratt in a Minority Report rip-off dumped into theaters in January. Can she make us care about this movie, against all odds?
unlabelledView post →YES The guitar. That whole movie. Man. I know Spielberg made great flicks. I love so many of them. And Jaws and Minority Report are in my all timers list. But, for me, Jurassic Park is his greatest achievement. Just a perfect Hollywood Blockbuster.
unlabelledView post →Minority Report authoritarian thinking and in this case possibly literally inspired by watching the movie and taking away the wrong lesson…
unlabelledView post →No idea what anyone else is saying since I’ve been avoiding all info, but … Disclosure Day is proof that Spielberg is one of the best to ever do it, and it’s his most entertaining film since at least Minority Report. See it, don’t let anyone spoil it.
unlabelledView post →Minority Report was a futuristic film where they would pre-arrest people for murders that were "foretold" by some kids in a tub or something
unlabelledView post →A pet theory of mine is that Spielberg/Scorsese/De Palma all made movies that bled into the sensibilities of one of the others. CMIYC is Spielberg’s Scorsese movie, MINORITY REPORT is his De Palma movie, UNTOUCHABLES is De Palma’s Spielberg movie, CARLITO’S WAY is his Scorsese movie…
unlabelledView post →I remember this movie. It came out in 2002 and was called Minority Report. How did it end again?
unlabelledView post →Wild how the most overtly erotic performance in a Spielberg movie is Lois Smith in "Minority Report."

unlabelledView post →There's EIGHT Mission Impossible films?? I've never seen a single one. In fact, the last Tom Cruise film I remember watching was The Minority Report, which was terrible and left me pissed off at another butchering of Philip K Dick. That came out 23 years ago!
unlabelledView post →“Minority Report is a 2002 cyberpunk action film directed by Spielberg, loosely based on Philip K. Dick's 1956 novella The Minority Report. The film takes place in 2054, in which the Precrime Department apprehends criminals by use of foreknowledge provided by three psychics called ‘precogs’.”
unlabelledView post →I've finished writing for the day, but can't sleep. Let's talk about MINORITY REPORT, both the film and the short story on which it's based. Nobody cares about this but me, so if you follow along, make sure you have nothing better to do. SPOILERS. Spoilers everywhere, all the damn time. Be warned.
unlabelledView post →I was trying to work out the last time I actually watched a Tom Cruise movie and it turns out the most recent one was Minority Report in 2002.
unlabelledView post →Atlas produces not just a granular measurement of worker unrest, worksite by worksite around the world, but also a prediction model for future organizing. It’s like the “precrime” police in the film Minority Report who use psychic powers to identify and apprehend would-be criminals before they act.
unlabelledView post →They're literally dumb walking into Minority Report and all the other distopian movies. What would you expect.
unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Year 2, Day #217 "Minority Report" (Steven Spielberg/2002) Some Steven Spielberg sci-fi goodness inspired by a story from Philip K. Dick, you just know I'm there for that! Check it out.
unlabelledView post →What is this, the movie Minority Report?
unlabelledView post →It's time someone said it - Minority Report was Spielberg's last true banger of a film.
unlabelledView post →They made a movie about this! It’s called Minority Report.
unlabelledView post →Did…did they not actually see Minority Report bc the movie is pretty clear on why this isn’t a great idea
unlabelledView post →There were plans to adapt another Philip K. Dick short story for a sequel called Total Recall 2: The Minority Report. That film eventually ended up in the hands of Steven Spielberg but as for the original, it remains popular today. 47/47
unlabelledView post →That audio in the background at the end was especially unsettling. Calm voice, "You are being ordered to return to the sidewalk. You will be arrested." Like some creepy "Minority Report" movie.

unlabelledView post →Homan is speaking the language of authoritarianism or even fascism. Remember the dystopian sci-fi film Minority Report? Same premise: the state taking people’s freedoms for anticipated future crimes. SOS.
unlabelledView post →Like, none of these pigdogs actually read 'Minority Report'. Sure, they saw the Spielberg movie, but I'm betting they've never read the short story or any PKD joint.

unlabelledView post →Just watched Minority Report for the first time in 20 years. Thats a hell of a movie. Still looks fantastic too
unlabelledView post →I rewatched Minority Report the other day, and even though it's just a popcorn movie it's surprising to see a blockbuster this film literate. All kinds of allusions and homages, he's clearly playing around with camera angles. Can we bring this sort of thing back?

unlabelledView post →It should also be noted that the original's box office taking was a bit more impressive considering the competition. On its first weekend, it was the second highest grossing film right under the Steven Spielberg film, Minority Report and fell to third against the Sandler comedy Mr. Deeds.
