unlabelledView post →that photo of Vance and the Pope reminds me of a movie scene: Meet Joe Black, when the old lady in a wheelchair recognizes the Devil in Joe Black. The expression on the Pope's face when he looks at Vance... as if he has seen the Devil in person.

unlabelledView post →Hey, remember how the first Star Wars: Phantom Menace trailer was in front of Meet Joe Black (1998)? Only they moved it to behind the film because people would leave after seeing the trailer and refunding their tickets? That is still a lot more interesting than 3hr whatever Meet Joe Black tho lol
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Dirt is a movie my brain created out of the broken memories of Meet Joe Black (1998) and Joe Dirt (2001)
unlabelledView post →Some seem disturbed by my arrival Would it help if you imagined me as Brad Pitt from the movie Meet Joe Black It may surprise you, but that is closer to the vibe than most myths portray
unlabelledView post →Playing a word guessing game and me and my partners single brain cells bonked together. They said “the movie with the big monkey” I guessed “Meet Joe Black” It was the correct answer.
unlabelledView post →Well, I was going to put on a film for a couple hours (as I let a foot peel soak in). Meet Joe Black popped up and I realised I'd never seen it so thought it would do. 3 hours?! It's 3 hours?!
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Black If you have one day left to live it’s a great film to put on because every minute is a goddamned eternity

unlabelledView post →This scene in Meet Joe Black. I could not take this movie seriously & the way I cackled during this scene & then had my friend rewind a few times to bust my gut again & again. *chef’s kiss* Then his raggedy Patois, LAWD 🤣 Brad Pitt seemed like he was in pain this entire movie & so was I LOL.
unlabelledView post →“… then there was a movie called Meet Joe Black. It had nothing to do with Star Wars except that during the previews they’d play…”
unlabelledView post →I bought the Art of Ponyo book from @mzspress.bsky.social last month and can’t wait to give it to Tyler for his birthday on Sunday. I’m SO glad we have a first date movie worth revisiting again and again. I’ve got a friend stuck watching Meet Joe Black with his wife every year.
unlabelledView post →Man Brad Pitt gives a much better performance in Meet Joe Black than that movie deserves
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Pasquale. Exactly the same film as "Meet Joe Black" only Death chooses to embody Joe Pasquale instead of Brad Pitt.
unlabelledView post →Tfw you conflate Meet Joe Black with Mighty Joe Young and you find yourself asking somebody, "What's the movie where Brad Pitt played a big monkey?"
unlabelledView post →I’m watching Meet Joe Black for the first time in a long time & it’s a completely different movie now that dad’s gone. His birthday is Saturday. I wish I was being an annoying daughter throwing him a big dumb party.
unlabelledView post →Let Martin Brest out of director's jail to do Meet Joe Black 2 just so they can advertise it before showings of the next Star Wars movie
unlabelledView post →This is like when they released the Episode I trailer and people would buy tickets for the films like Meet Joe Black just to see the trailer, then left before the actual film showed... I feel like I need my back medication now.

When the board thought their boss was no longer in possession of his faculties… They decided to vote him out. It’s time to send Old Man Trump packing. Straight to The Hague.
unlabelledView post →I think the peak of society was when everyone snuck into Meet Joe Black so we could see the first trailer for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, and then promptly left as the feature film began.
unlabelledView post →Man, Meet Joe Black is such a fun movie. We need more Eldritch entities discovering the wonders of Peanut Butter and cucking Business Magnates.

Also lots of rewrites on other pics. #moviesky #filmsky
unlabelledView post →One of the best, most meaningful, creative, philosophic movies of our era. All humans should take the time to watch watch “Meet Joe Black”. I’m also partial to Peter Sellers’ last film “Being There”, which has a similar theme/moral; but also struggled commercially. Theater, Film can be instructive.
unlabelledView post →After tiktok threw me a few scenes this morning that peaked my interest, I sat down and watched "Meet Joe Black" for the first time. As I was watching it I was reminded how slow paced 90's stories were until I realised that the movie was 3 hours long. I still very much enjoyed it
unlabelledView post →Martin Brest: “For this new restoration of MEET JOE BLACK, we’ve employed AI technology provided by Respeecher to fix Brad’s patois accent, thus perfecting the film.”

unlabelledView post →We were a small group of teenage boys who picked this film because it was the only thing on, the rest of the cinema was packed with couples there to watch the latest Brad Pitt movie. Then he bounced off two cars in a row and died. Meet Joe Black, the funniest thing we’d ever seen
unlabelledView post →Watched Meet Joe Black for the first time last night and I’m still emotionally compromised over billionaire Anthony Hopkins dying in a 3-hour movie where Brad Pitt is literally death itself. How do I casually bring this up at work today without looking unhinged. 😭
unlabelledView post →I say rewatched because when I was a kid, I've seen "Meet Joe Black" countless times on TV, but I must admit I was too young and never realized Brad Pitt portrays Death. "Ohhh, it's not some random dude, it's Death, now the movie makes sense." - I finally have plot hole closure after 15 years.
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Black. All those scenes just staring at each other could have been a lot shorter. Or they could have just not made the film.

unlabelledView post →I've only walked out of one movie, and it was Meet Joe Black in high school (because it was bad) Everybody bust out laughing when Brad Pitt got hit by the car and went flying in the air, and my friend and I were like "yeah let's go" and booked it
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Black is a very good, very long movie where everyone's eyes and lips look so fucking wet in overlit rooms that it feels like a sterile environment battling these constant intrusions of imperfection/frailty which is essential to the movie's major themes.
unlabelledView post →Popped back in just long enough to share my review of Meet Joe Black I didn’t like this car wreck of a film (except for the scene involving an actual car wreck) letterboxd.com/amazingamyta...
unlabelledView post →I understand Meet Joe Black is not a well-regarded movie. It's maudlin, long and a bit flat. But few things feel as true as the scene where Anthony Hopkins pretends to like cake, so that his daughter feels loved, while Death sits beside them.

unlabelledView post →You don’t hear much about Meet Joe Black anymore. That’s an underrated movie.
unlabelledView post →Yeah,he and Anthony Hopkins also did, Meet Joe Black, another "gotcha" BP movie for me.
unlabelledView post →I feel like I am one of the few people who truly and deeply loves Meet Joe Black. It is one of my favorite movies of all time. Even though I've gotten older and I learned to hate the rich I can't help but love that movie.
unlabelledView post →His presence feels like the movie “Meet Joe Black” if Joe was plotting with the evil board member to dismantle the entire company and sell it for parts.

unlabelledView post →Saw Meet Joe Black in the theater. This scene (the high point of the film) produced a lot of "I shouldn't be laughing at this but I am" laughter in the audience (myself included).
unlabelledView post →Casablanca - best movie ever made Star Trek IV - the whales! Meet Joe Black - I, unironically, love this movie and its portrayal of death and being a good person.
unlabelledView post →Meet Joe Black is on 7Flix. I love this film and I love Claire Forlani’s wardrobe in this, especially *that* dress. Stunning.
unlabelledView post →Youtube weirdly has me watching clips of ‘Meet Joe Black’ tonight. And maybe the women back then were right about Brad Pitt’s blue eyes. Even with the awful hairstyle in this movie.
