"Hey" said Ron, "I know you're upset, but it's okay to have your own opinion, you know?". Neville stood dead in his tracks. "Ron.." he whispered, "It's just fucked... Meet Dave 20% score... It's a perfect movie."

And there are plenty of "family movies" that do NOT do that. It was essentially wholesomely meh.

POPEYE'S RETURN (2026) is the sequel to POPEYE'S REVENGE (2025) and it's available for streaming on Prime Video. Thanks to John for killing me off in the movies! Twice!

unlabelledView post →I was a child when I saw Meet Dave in theaters. I and my brother were in fact laughing our butts offs as the target demo. I still remember parts of the movie and even now thinking about the “Dave Ming Chang” line makes me giggle

unlabelledView post →This fish reminds me of the movie Meet Dave. It's a facinating creature.
unlabelledView post →I got the mental image of both of you experiencing the Meet Dave Eddie Murphy movie scene, where Dave (who's actually a 'ship' piloted by micros) is standing in the bathroom as a pilot 'ejects' repeatedly the hotdogs he ate (being a ship he doesn't actually eat, it's like..cargo storage as is)
unlabelledView post →I mean you are part of the reason I've said "this movie looks awful let's watch it" many many times, even though one of those times was Meet Dave
unlabelledView post →For some reason I confused this film with Meet Dave for years...which is also a terrible movie, but I think Eddie Murphy as a mech would have made a fun episode

unlabelledView post →80. Meet Dave 3/10 Eddie Murphy really was hit in miss in films huh? I think this was the first movie I ever saw Kevin Hart in
unlabelledView post →43. Meet Dave (2008). Meh. While not an awful kids movie, as there is a fun idea here and a few amusing bits, it mostly has obvious jokes and a whatever story. Actors aren't given much to work with, especially poor Eddie Murphy. Not very good.
unlabelledView post →The Seahawk defense is like watching 11 Terminators while the Seahawk offense is like watching the small aliens pilot the human robot from the Eddie Murphy movie Meet Dave (2008)
unlabelledView post →There’s this movie I watched in theaters when I was a kid named Meet Dave about a group of microscopic aliens who pilot a humanoid robot/spacecraft to find what they need on Earth. It’s a pretty corny film looking back, but it did help awaken something in me as an easily impressionable youngster.
