Rest of review below. http://youtu.be/LOHDHqzm0yI In it you're a little rover returning home with your rather silly shuttle, only to find your once beautiful planet has been ruined and its spirit silent. As the two of you set out on a quest to not only find out what's happened, but to restore the planet to its once…

You're some adorable little droid with the mission to collect as many strawberries, seeds and diamonds as you can while fighting off hordes of different enemies that try to kill you and your base. And your towers. And your strawberries. And everything else. With diamonds you'll research/buy new towers or upgrades in a special "shop-map"…

It was a joy to play then, and it has only improved since. It combines Tower Defence with strategic action. You can place towers in pre-determined slots on the map, and additionally carry one tower on your back. As you defend your spacecraft from attack, you have to consider repairing towers and your spacecraft, and defending and gathering of ressources. This is where co-op is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What if the Lorax was a robot, and his friends a shuttle and a sick planet? That's the premiss of McDROID, where you multitask a lot - install turrets, plant trees, and seeds, farm strawberries, build factories, place a giant talking laser on your back, kite monsters, plant more trees. Its main mission is made up of 12 levels, most can be replayed in challenge and nightmare mode with different waves and usually require vastly different strategies. After level 5 it becomes more of an action…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the cell-shading, the sound design and the look and feel remind me favorably of Rochard. It's an odd tower defense, because you play in a confied space. The pace is on the slow sid. It is fun and can be occasionally challenging. It can also be slightly confusing. I am enjoying it, picked it up in a bundle a long time ago, and it just recently hit Steam. It's a unique tower defense and I give it a cautious thumbs-up for introducing some new ideas (and plenty of nods to other tower…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game can be really fun even for people who don’t like tower defense game like me. The game has a cartoony style which I like a lot. To me you can’t even compare this game to other tower defense I was hooked instantly. I know I only have a 100 minutes but I will complete it all :D. The research place is also interesting because most game tower defense games don’t do that you get better stuff by level. The characters I meet so far are cool I like the jokes the ship makes and your robot has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game genre i generally dislike (for me, Tower Defence games usualy get boring very fast). While with this little gem... I can`t stop playing (and i played this game even before it got on Steam) :) Very nice graphic Well thought maps Single and coop Lots of replay time value Funny Developer whom speaks with the players and really cares for this game and the McDROID players
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mcdroid is a great game, its really good. Everything is good, from gameplay, to progression, economy, enemies, ect. Every match you plant seeds in pre-placed seed beds, which produce strawberries, which act as the games currency for buying and upgrading towers. This adds a additional element many tower defense games don't have, as you need to defend your strawberry patches. The other currency is diamonds. Diamonds are gained from certain enemy kills, and are used to buy tower upgrades and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3.5/10 ONLINE CO-OP REVIEW Although the game technically features online co-op, it isn't listed in the Steam tags. I only found out about this feature via the Co-optimus website. However, after experiencing the online co-op first hand, I may have some guesses as to why you don't see it listed. I liked that in McDROID, your droid can carry a turret around, and that you automatically begin repairing any devices (including friendly players) near you. Unfortunately, this is where my praise for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You may read my initial review below, however after completing the game on the second day with only "achievements" left to gain by painfully grinding levels or waiting for people who actually play properly i have had to change my review. If i am missing something please let me know, but according to it i finished the tree of life and thats pretty much the end. So i payed £13.50 for a few hours of gameplay some which were just painful grinding to get diamonds. i have to compare this to say…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite some comedic relief via homorus dialog, the game is unfortunately so difficult while solo due to the amount of micromangement required it into a panicked stuggle to survive than a fun experience

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing this game when it first came out and i loved it then and i've gotta say it's only gotten better with time! A must have for lovers of tower defence :) Lush environments and zany enemies with a mass of levels to play and a great sound track to boot Go solo or co-op with your friends run around with a dentistry lazer on your back? :P or soup it military style and wreck S*** ? slap it down as a stationary turret n buy another! :P it's all there :D hehe (personally i prefer the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This robot is unreasonably cute. Also the came controls well, has distinctive and pleasant visuals, and satisfying explosions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can not recommend if you are looking for multiplayer. I ONLY got this game for it's Multiplayer at the request of a friend, but multiplayer is incredibly broken. this game may be okay solo, but in multiplayer, we have encountered multiple bugs, even restarting the game for all participants only gave us different bugs. it kinda had what i was looking for in a casual-ish TD game, but the bugs made it unplayable. tutorial mission worked, fine i guess, but since there is only one gun to begin…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Co-Op is broken. Entered Level 1-2 and that was it . You can harvest strawberries. No enemies will ever come. Sound cuts out. Restarted level several times. Nothing . It is now a strawberry harvesting game till ....you....die. Refund. Actually makes me sad, because i wanted it so much and made a friend get it as well. Then BAM , nothing is working. Not interested in another single player game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks nice but just seems to be designed poorly and therefore isn’t very fun. Levels progress slowly, it takes forever to kill enemies, the diamond upgrade system also seems like a grind. The fact that there is a tower on the player just seems gimmicky, and just makes it so you are constantly hovering over enemy’s with your mouse, a brainless activity. I want to like this game but just don't. It may get better, but I don't want to spend time to get there.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More Reviews @ TheVideogameBacklog.com McDROID is one of the two most imaginative tower defense games I’ve played in a long time. It’s a timeless story about you (a puppy-like robot named McDROID) and your friend SHUTTLE crash-landing on the dying Planet M. You must plant and harvest strawberries as a form of currency to build and upgrade towers to fight off the corrupted creatures that have taken a stronghold on Planet M. This may really sound strange, but it’s also a truck load of fun!…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love tower defense but this one not so much. Like most of the others said - you have so few towers that are beyond weak compared to the swarm of mobs that come after you. It seems that you can double output by having towers focus on one - but this is not as easy as it seems since they are very fast and move all over the place and what seems like on top of each other. Constant running for strawberries and then dropping them off makes this super micro managing.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, speaking of outlandish premises, here's another that has that in spades. Is it a better game than Last Hope? I'd say so, and I would recommend it, but with some caveats. The game stars the titular McDroid, who the game refers to as a dog-bot, and his friend a talking shuttle named...Shuttle. They return back to their friend Planet (who is a sentient) after a trip to find thing are a bit different. She's completely silent, mutated creatures are roaming about, and mysterious messages are…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think Mcdroid created a new genre. It's not only a tower defense it's an action game with turrets. After the first 3 levels, action really picks up and you can feel the power of this game. The hordes of enemies always keep you alert. You can deploy many strategies or just run around with a bunch of guns on your back. Furthermore when you finish a level, the mission becomes available in challenge and nightmare mode which reminded me of the good old Doom. Kudos for the Coop, I was not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this back when it was beta invite only on indie royale and desura. I had enjoyed it greatly then and still enjoy it here. Now while i find it slightly disheartening that i have to start back at square one instead of where i was before it was on steam, I quickly got over it since it just means i get to enjoy the ride all over again. The new addittions in this version include: A research lab level that lets you test drive the various weapons and upgrades as you unlock them. The survival…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Clicker - Cooldown Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library. TLDR: Repetitive gameplay loop centered around collecting things in baskets and bringing to base. Cheesing and kiting enemies while you autofire. Gets boring quickly. As a solo game you must constantly use your protagonist's sprite to kite around the enemies, distract them away from your main shuttle. The game has autofire and autolock on nearest. So basically there is no need to do anything than focus on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →laggy and buggy mess. Kongergate tower defense games are better made than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a terrible game, but there are better free td games out there. There is very little to do, other than stand still (which is how you heal towers), or try to draw away agro. Dissapointing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just a cute tower defense game that keeps you entertained all the way through the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game and found it much more enjoyable than Orcs Must Die 2. This was my intro to tower defense and I'm hooked! PLEASE PLEASE MAKE LEVELS!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've just recently started playing this game again, having not played since beta. It's a really great strategy game and I find it's good for destressing after a long day at work or school! The graphics are really cute (and the voice acting is amazing). Overall I highly recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tower defense game with enjoyable humour, but frequent crashes ruin the fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its very good, All it need a minigun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →McDroid has a smart use of character designs, a subtle feel of worldbuilding, and the hectic and intense strategy is hit home by the hefty, powerful feel of everything. http://youtu.be/uZoKxMjK-VA
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like tower defense you will love this game! Very fresh and very pretty. Amazing cel shaded graphics and robot characters reminiscent of Borderlands' clap-trap but sans the annoying voice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game loads in without curser control. No reply on "bugs" section of forums. Would not reccomend. 1/5
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not enough time between waves to setup a proper defence.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kind of fun... maybe i need to play more. Not really understanding the decision to only allow the droid to pick up a finite number strawberries or gems.....really annoying when you are trying to pick up gems for upgrades but you can't because your guy picked up the strawberries instead. Also, Need to maybe make a no kidding tutorial. I had no clue what was going on other than by pressing buttons and seeing what happened. Good feature is the auto attack while you are running around. I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game makes no sense, you cannot pass the first level, therefor you cannot build or do anything ... also, for some reason, clicking the "support" button sends you to a porn website
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This title needs a lot of polish, especially on the mechanic side and UI wise. The idea is great, so hopefully they put the effort in to make it good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game in it's very early stages and it's probably one of my most played games alltogether in the last couple of years. It's a mixture of tower defense and action RTS. The game mechanics feel very well put together and multiplayer is a lot of fun, too, if you find someone to play with.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game before it was on steam loved it then and I love it now
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At this time the game is completely broken and will not launch at all (Windows 7, 64-bit).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →McDroid does something refreshing in the TD genre. This game provides a bright artstyle with adorable enemies. It reminds me of a better version of Pixeljunk Monsters. I can see the company easily publishing worthwhile DLC since levels offer replay value and there are fairly limited tower options so far. My only complaint is that it isn't a 60 dollar game with more content. I haven't played much of the co-op but what I played was fun. I'm very surprised this wasn't pushed on consoles since…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mcdroid is perhaps one of the most fun spin-off TD's i've played to date. Don't let the video or graphics fool you, this game can get really hard quite fast. The fact it also allows co-op on every level is another plus which makes the game that much more fun. I recommend this game to anyone that loves TD's and is looking for a challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sucks in a way that it keeps away you from doing anything else ;-) It is very lovely done, the graphics are really nice, kept in a comic-lice style. The story is ... well ... odd. Long story short: You crash-land on a planet and need to refill your strawberry-juice-engine. While planting and harvesting strawberries, you have to keep the "local population" away from them and prevent your own destruction, because they bite and shoot. Handling is very easy, Just run, collect and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big NOPE Couldnt get past the 3rd spawn point on LEVEL 1. Had all 4 turrets repaired, and the main module repaired to full. Tried carrying a turret and manually shooting. didnt help. Just got swarmed by the little maggot things. Tried 5 different times. Not worth trying more because its honestly not that fun, and super clunky.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →clunky.... and no local co-op
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tutorial so buggy! Enemies spawn, or not. Fruits grow, or not. It restarts without being attacked. And lots of desync in MP!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Refunded. Too many bugs. Had to keep restarting missions to progress hung dialogue or get audio working. Incredibly laggy (exploding barrels killed my skylake/1070 system and at one point there was an infinite gem spawn bug that killed the network and soon took down the game) Not that we got much of a chance to see the game mechanics but there didn't seem to be any room for choice, or at least balancing and scale was neglected. For example, the second level appeared unwinnable on the harder…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →McDroid's towers felt weak and ineffective to me, and no matter how many I churned out, including carrying one on my little robot's back, every wave felt like an excessive swarm of enemies. I enjoy the tower defense genre, and while I do love killing swarms of enemies, I never felt like my towers were effective at their job. Initially, you cannot upgrade them, and rather than income being awarded automatically, you have to plant strawberries in the ground and run around, grabbing them before…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was playing this with a couple friends The british fellow in our group said "I'm going to go do something fun" and quit The rest of us followed, agreeing. 'tis very glitchy for a finished game, and doesn't explain much in the tutorials.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a big sack of garbage, sorry baby boys but ape is delicious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't say it was good or bad but I had a lot of fun with it. Wouldn't pay more then a few bucks for it tho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this back when it was in beta in 2013, im a bit disappointed as i see missing features, or things taken out which deeply saddens me, otherwise, its a very fun mobile RTS tower defence. Dont get me wrong its incredibly hard but thats the fun of it, in my opinion it was balanced before, it just seems to be getting a bit more watered down now due to lack of features, and disabled extras that were once available in beta builds
