What people are saying
A short, cute, and cozy game, but many say it's overpriced.
Players overwhelmingly praise Mail Time for its adorable art style, charming characters, and relaxing, cozy atmosphere. Many describe it as a wholesome and fun experience, perfect for unwinding. [1][3][5][21]
However, the game's short length (around 2-3 hours) and full price of $20 are major criticisms. Many reviewers recommend buying it only on a heavy discount, and some cite control issues or bugs as additional drawbacks. [2][7][16][32][35]

unlabelledView post →I got this game on HEAVY discount (70% off, £4.64) and for THAT price I would just about recommend it. But for the LISTED non-discount price of £15.49? Not a chance. I'm giving it a negative review score BECAUSE if I gave it a positive one, that would persist after the end of the discount period, and make people think this is worth full price. This was an enjoyable little game. The movement mechanics are fun, the character design is interesting and funny. It is a short experience, but it feels…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this was a fun time, but it's not a $20 fun time. I picked it up on sale for $7 and i wouldn't pay more than that. It's a cute time! I'd say its cozy aesthetic is its biggest strength, and its fine. But not more than that
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →could've saved everyone the trouble by just being a visual novel with choices (on what to do and where to go next) since this whole game is just one big, glorified fetch quest in A single map. disappointed on the devs for not taking full advantage of the 3d platformer gameplay by putting in more things to do (like collecting stuff or even having other places to deliver mail to). speaking of choices - although trivial, i don't really understand why the devs didn't give you agency re: some of…

unlabelledView post →Unfortunately, I can't recommend this game. There are several bugs and areas needing improvement listed in the Steam discussions. And since it's been years since the last update, it doesn't seem like that's going to change. This game looks nice, and I do appreciate the consistent look and feel of the game. But the gameplay needs some work. Even setting aside the bugs, the game menus aren't very functional. It's a big world, but there's little to do, and it's inconvenient to get around.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just finished Mail Time, a short and wholesome indie game with lots of love put into it. It's perfect for a chill afternoon with adorable art, funny dialogues and unique characters. I would love to see a DLC in the future, I want my little mail scout to do so much more gliding and helping others!🍄💌
unlabelledView post →To be clear: I recommend this game if you get it at a huge discount!! My playtime from start to finish of the entire game was 2 hours. (The extra .2 on record shown is from me eating food without turning the game off). It was an absolutely adorable game and I genuinely enjoyed it. I only wish there was more. If I bought the game full priced, I would have been p*ssed because of how short it is. But because I got it as part of a fanatical bundle for only a few dollars with a bunch of other…

unlabelledView post →In terms of aesthetic and “comfy” vibes, this game absolutely nails it. I'm sure if Tumblr was still a thing, this would have had a rabid fanbase. What isn’t so great is the €18 price for a sub-two-hour game that’s effectively just fetch quests wrapped in lacklustre dialogue. The characters, while colourful, are fairly one-dimensional and altogether forgettable. The collect-a-thon aspect also feels a little half-baked, as several items serve no purpose other than collecting them. Mail Time is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →9/10 | Adorable | Relaxing & Soothing Cozy Game! Mail Time is an absolute must play for anyone wanting a short cozy, cute & wholesome game. It's very much a fetch & go styled game. Grab a quest, go here, repeat. You're a trainee mail scout and your job is to deliver ALL the packages and parcels amongst other objectives that may arise during your time within the game! This game is relatively simplistic & easy to 100% within no longer than 4 hours at most. (I spent a little extra time just…

unlabelledView post →I was hoping for something more polished, but the game felt clunky and unfinished. Parts of the environment weren't done, there were characters with dialogue that hinted for more, and there was even a category of deliverable collectables, which weren't part of any quest. If you want a similar, but more complete experience of a game like this, try Smushi Come Home or Re:Fresh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's cute but incredibly short and absolutely not worth the full price it's listed as.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mail Time is a cute platformer in a cozy world. It features a small collection of citizens all with their own quirks, and all needing mail sent to their neighbors. You'll be delivering love notes, noise complaints, cease and desists, shadowy intel from la résistance, and blueberries. The world is adorable. I'm a sucker for games where little things are big and vice versa. You've got your little ladybug farm. Houses made from watering cans. etc. All that cutesy stuff. Lasting just long enough…

unlabelledView post →Mail Time is a really cute and relaxing little game. You play as a tiny mail scout delivering letters in a colorful forest full of friendly characters. There’s no stress, no fighting, just exploring, jumping around, gliding and helping everyone with their mail. The art style is adorable and the whole game has a very cozy vibe. Great game for an evening to chill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starting the game "Mail Time" 🍄 Looks super cute and had all my favs in it! Mini creatures, forests, deliveries and so cute! #MailTimeGame #MailTime
unlabelledView post →Finished Mail Time Smurf Stranding. You play as a little mushroom person, and you have to deliver mail to the animals in the forest. Tiny map to explore, basic platforming, fetch quests, and light object collecting. Some funny writing. Finished in 2 hours. Nice little palate cleanser of a game.

unlabelledView post →Yes BUT Obviously there is the problem everyone has about the game being way too short for the full price My bigger complaint is that the controls are actively terrible. The gliding mechanic is good, but jumping is difficult to control. I get why it's floatier than most platformers, but a lot of the time the hit box of the place you are trying to jump to bounce your character back so you can't land... I almost rage quit in the first half hour, while playing a cozy game. Also, I personally could…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very cute, has good artstyle and the soundtrack is great. It has very nice character customization. But is not cozy AT ALL. I was very stressed actually. Controlling your character feels very BAD, jumping feels awful and you'll need to do a lot of platforming, which would be ok if moving around wasn't a chore. I had irreversable psychological damage just trying to get some batteries for a catterpillar. There's some bugs and every single thing in this game has collision which is a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is short but it's super cozy and comforting. I wish it was 100x longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a very nice time 100%ing this game, so it pains me to say that I also think that recommending it, at least full-price, is hopelessly optimistic of me, especially after I learned how lucky I was to have a smooth experience. I love the style, charm, characters, and customization here, and I even bought it knowing it would be nothing but fetch-quests. Seeing their relationships form and evolve was really heartwarming, and even though a map probably would've been nice it still felt…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mail Time is just a sweet little game where you do little missions and deliver letters and messages for a neighborhood that you're trying to find a specific resident in. This game was very adorable and cute, I specifically liked how you could customize your character throughout the game. Everyone was fun to interact with and I really wish this game was discussed more in the cozy game genre. My only real critique is sometimes I ran into some coloring and texture bugs throughout this game. It's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the game is here so you know what that means IT'S MAIL TIME!!!!
unlabelledView post →Mail Time! This game *was* cute but with the lack of a map, constant back-and-forth between characters, and lots of bugs on the steam deck, I wouldn't really recommend it? Though if you got a more powerful machine I'm sure it'll run better!
unlabelledView post →Started playing Mail Time on the plane and it might be my favorite game ever? like ALL I wanna do is hang out in this cottagecore forest with these charming critters
unlabelledView post →(Disclaimer: I got this game in a bundle. I'm not too sure if I'd still recommend it if I paid all 20 dollars for it.) A Short Hike, an Etsy shop that sells stickers of capybaras with oranges on their heads, and my tumblr dash circa 2018 all fused together in a freak teleporter accident and somehow made a 3D platformer with a two hour runtime. You get a glider too. It's a quick and benign way to spend an afternoon at least. It's, for lack of a better term, very millennial in its both its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had this game sitting in my library for the longest, waiting to play it because I truthfully wasn't expecting much from it. While it isnt my usual kind of game, it still ended up drawing me in and being fun to play. There isnt much to the gameplay itself HOWEVER, everything else compensates for that in my opinion You can tell so much love was put into the characters, their dialogue was always fun to read. This also goes for the environment, I didnt expect it to be so full of small details…

unlabelledView post →Cute but feels unfinished, ropes aren't connected to things at times, I feel as though the ladybugs were going to be something. Going back and forwards to deliver things got quite tedious with the platforming, it started to feel like a chore. By the ending I felt little accomplishment, more so annoyance after being dragged around the map just for the final delivery to be another pointess jump up a mountain, to jump down again and talk to more people. Get it on a good sale if you want it haha.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my poor computer was not qualified for this game. i had to lower the lovely graphics and tweak so many other things, but huge shoutout to the dev for explaining what settings to adjust to reduce lag on the mail time website! yk the game is good when you want to live in it. an adorable little grove with a delightful variety of personalities residing in it. we got gays, artists, nerds, punks, a landlord (BOOOO), a gang, SOKS, and more. obsessed with all the cute customization options for our…

unlabelledView post →Hidden gem. Really liked playing through this. I will admit I don't think I loved it *quite* enough to go back for achievements, though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute and still a cozy play, however I cannot recommend only due to the fact I've played the game for like 45 minutes (I think?) and I've already had to close and reopen the game on 4 different occasions over various bugs. At one point my character wouldn't move after talking to an animal. On another occasion it popped up on my screen that I got a badge and the pop up wouldn't disappear. And on 2 other occasions I got physically stuck under/between objects.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started & finished Mail Time this weekend. It was a very cute game, despite its bugs! I do wish I could have 100% it, but it wouldn’t let me give ham food. Grateful I could finish the game though even with the bug!
unlabelledView post →Super cute and wholesome game! Definitely reccomend buying it on sale though, I really wish the game was longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool exploration + collecting game, the dialogue and characters are fun, definitely not worth the full price though (It's 2-3h long), buy on sale !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute, fun, and relaxing game. Is it worth playing? Absolutely! Is it worth paying $20 for? I'm not so sure. The price seems a little steep for what you get. First the good things, which I adored: - Character customization! It's not super in-depth, but the designs are very cute and it's fun to pick out what your character wears. You can also change this at any time in the settings menu. Additionally, there are several collectible mushroom hats you can get besides the default. - Even…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a mailman is probably a fairly repetitive job, unfortunately that doesn't translate to fun gameplay. Despite it's short runtime, Mail Time overstays it's welcome by having nearly every quest be a chain of constant back-and-forth in an open world with no sprint or fast travel. If you're gonna have the core gameplay be this repetitive, you need to offset that by having enjoyable characters and dialogue. This game does not have that. While the characters have charming designs, all of them…
