It’s aged poorly but I still have a soft spot for it. The film on the other hand is so bad it made me hate cinema itself for a month.
unlabelledView post →I remember when i was reading London Fields being impressed that the book was so obviously unfilmable, but then they filmed it some years ago with Amber Heard as the problematic lady character. And the film tanked so badly it never made the cinemas here but is viewable on YouTube.
unlabelledView post →It’s a Miss Marple film set in a park in Hackney. Flora Robson stars. First speaking role for Roger Moore as a local bobby. Raises an eyebrow shears in mockney “we ain’t never seen the likes of it in London Fields” I’m surprised you haven’t watched it.
unlabelledView post →..We also finish another project tomorrow, London Fields, way more urban but still a great project.. (short film soon hopefully) and I should probably take a day off a some point!
unlabelledView post →London Fields was one of the worst films I have seen that I can still remember off the top of my head. Nothing made any sense, and I can't even remember anything about the film other than it being nothing more than one bizarre scene after another.
unlabelledView post →It might be a case of me enjoying the book so much I think it would make a great show but not every book lends itself to being adapted. I liked London Fields when I read it but the film was so bad I'll probably never touch my copy again.
unlabelledView post →There was a film adaptation of London Fields that sank without trace a few years ago. Beyond that, it may be me, but I cannot remember his books being recognised for years. Shame because I think he is a magnificent writer - a real virtuoso.
unlabelledView post →For the next July Junk movie I did something different and spun several times yesterday and took the winner. This was 2018s London Fields. It never crossed my radar but has big names. Directed by Mathew Cullen. Has Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, and Cara Delevingne. #Filmsky #Moviesky

unlabelledView post →I knew the movie of London Fields would flop from the first promo pic. And said so on Twitter. The film’s director then followed and unfollowed for the next six hours. I do not know why.

unlabelledView post →Not seen that but I’m curious now. My nomination for worst movie ever made is London Fields. Not technically a B Movie but bloody hell it’s shite.

Your host David Garrett Jr. is joined by his Co-Captain and wife, Jaime. For this episode, the first film was a first time watch for us both with London Fields (2018).

unlabelledView post →Home from the Fields - this not being a euphemism for the allotment. More habitat created and much mulching done. And afterwards whisky has been consumed sitting out in the late afternoon sun. Apparently after his latest film Ian Snake Geek now has people stopping him on the street after recognising him. Not this film which is one he made earlier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pAeMGHWDpI #LondonFields
unlabelledView post →aww man i forgot Theo James was in that movie adaptation of "London Fields" too. I should see that, as badly reviewed/reviled as it ended up being-that was one of the best books I read the year I read it-which was maybe three years back??? I do not do a good job of keeping track the way I do movies.
