Both the video (by Jess Cope) and guitar solo (by Guthrie Gowan) speak to Steven's deft wit in collaboration. Plus it’s impossible to deny a track that inspired its own video game ("Last Day of June").

One thing I liked: The soundtrack by Steven Wilson! He's the lead singer of Porcupine Tree and I love them. One thing I disliked: Not being able to skip cutscenes

unlabelledView post →Name a game with a 10/10 soundtrack. Steven Wilson's soundtrack for Last Day Of June is superb.
unlabelledView post →Early dog 🐕 walk with adaptation of Steven Wilson compositions ‘Last Day of June’ which I believe was for a game soundtrack. Enjoyable but all are very familiar and so much so I prefer the original context. Pleasant, but each piece is short and it would have been more interesting to see improvs 😎

Almost made the whole game tearless... til the flatline audio. It doesn't beat "The Last Day Of June" in terms of absolute devastation tho.

Need to end the night on something cheerful man

And wow am I glad that I did! It's one of the most emotional puzzle games I've had the pleasure of playing 👓

unlabelledView post →Burst into tears last night on stream cause the gaming gods had plans! Last Day of June was an emotional experience for a game with no voice acting. I thought it was leading one way and when that twist happened my heart just broke. The puzzles kicked my ass but the ending was worth it.

unlabelledView post →Third week's game in my #RandomBacklogSampler is Last Day of June, which... I'm gonna be honest: I found it quite dull. Very cool impressionistic visual aesthetic, but with no dialogue and characters with *no eyes*, it relies entirely on vague nonverbal utterances to convey emotion. It don't work.
unlabelledView post →Indie Friday: Last Day of June This game has a good story; however, it is really sad. It touches topics as loss, grief and depression, and some other heavy issues. The music is beautiful and i enjoy the different interactions we make until the end of the game
unlabelledView post →<.< Sounds like a perfect rainy day kinda game (Gris, Last Day of June, the Orwell games, etc. also fall into that mood/mode for me) Gonna have to pick it up, and maybe chuck a copy at a friend

unlabelledView post →Well okay I played #LastDayOfJune today. It was okay'ish. Sure, the music helps with the atmosphere. Other than that it's story heavy, game light. You pretty much run up to stuff and press A until you get a cutscene that indicates plot happening. It's one of those games which don't lose much when you watch instead of play it. Very linear, very little actual choice.

unlabelledView post →Omg... it's not often that a game makes me cry like a baby at the end, but Last Day Of June managed to do that perfectly. So sad. 😭 And when the last part of the ending showed up, I had to cry again. 😢 The game's got good graphics which suited it perfectly, but the gameplay was slow. Those many cutscenes couldn't be skipped and I couldn't save manually. I had to replay those cutscenes again without being able to skip if I wanted to continue playing the game later. Very annoying. The game's…
