Michael is then given a special computerized and indestructible car called the Knight Industries Two Thousand (nicknamed KITT),… From TMDB

Critics, per Wikipedia
At the time of its initial airing, Knight Rider was panned by critics. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the first season scores 33%, based mainly on archived contemporaneous reviews, with an average rating of 5.60/10. The site's consensus reads: "This car can do anything -- except paper over how tiresomely silly Knight Rider's concept is." Tom Shales, writing for The Washington Post, commented: "'Knight Rider' is all revved up but has no place to go, except, maybe, headlong into a large brick wall." In contrast, retrospective reviews have been more positive. Marc Bernardin of Entertainment Weekly called the show "a relic from a simpler time, when audiences demanded less from their TV".

Recently started watching old 90s and 80s shows just for the fun of it, because I'm bored with all of the new stuff that's coming out, and I fell into Knight Rider. My review of the show so far aside, it's got straight up the most banger theme music I have heard in a TV show in a very long time. https://youtu.be/lxhWxv_5bQ0 It got me wondering what other TV shows have really great theme songs?
positive · AI labelView post →You ever wake up in terror first thing in the morning and realize you don't remember what the actual premise of Knight Rider was? Was he like a cop? Was this a Sherlock Holmes show with a car? What exactly was he doing from week to week
neutral · AI labelView post →Lots of old TV shows shot on film have been HD restored retaining their proper aspect ratio (Knight Rider, The Love Boat, Columbo), but the bigger the show the more aggressive the studio/streamers are to present it in 16:9 (Friends, Seinfeld, Frasier). Pillarboxing/letterboxing is JUST FINE.
neutral · AI labelView post →The "Knight Rider" complete series Blu-ray box set is magnificent. And it's all in the proper aspect ratio (4:3).
positive · AI labelView post →I thought the law was one vehicle per show. Street Fighter got the bike, Knight Rider got the car, Airwolf got the helicopter, Riptide got the boat, the A Team got the van and Automan got the, well whatever the fuck the cursor wanted to be and they had a vfx budget for that week

positive · AI labelView post →That's nothing, I was run over by a 14 ton garbage truck just six months ago. As I lay dying, Christ appeared, and started quizzing me about the hit 80s tv show 'Knight Rider'. I failed the quiz and the Son of God told me it wasn't my time yet.

neutral · AI labelView post →I’ve never made it through an episode of Knight Rider, it’s a terrible show if you’re a little kid. There’s a sassy talking car, yes. But it’s mostly about talking HUMANS, discussing adult things like political corruption

positive · AI labelView post →I wish they'd managed to make that episode of "Clerks: The Animated Series" they wanted to do where KITT from "Knight Rider" stalks and then replaces Randal, and nobody notices.
neutral · AI labelView post →My new obsession is the use of terrible pop covers in 80s US action series. Knight Rider tends to have at least one in each episode and now I'm watching an episode of The Fall Guy that's chock full of them. All the top hits of 1985 rendered in the most cack-handed way possible!
positive · AI labelView post →She is. The Knight Rider. Or maybe this isn’t an eighties television show. Maybe it’s a book I wrote about a PI in trouble titled … Running Until Tomorrow Is Gone Did I mention the talking car? #UnhingedPit #A (Maybe I have this Pit figured out now. Maybe not.)

neutral · AI labelView post →#PlayEverything 1985. Tangerine Dream: le Parc. 1985. Notable perhaps for the theme tune from the TV series Street Hawk, which was kind of Knight Rider on a motorbike.

neutral · AI labelView post →Outside of his iconic role as Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen leaves behind a long career of voice acting, as the first voice for the villainous KARR from Knight Rider, Venger from the D&D series, a turn as Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and so much more that I cannot fit into this tweet. RIP, king.

neutral · AI labelView post →Everyone talk about "repossessing cars." When was the last time we had a movie or TV show about a car that was originally possessed? Like, was it Christine? (Forget kids shows like Knight Rider or The Transformers or Turbo Teen.)

positive · AI labelView post →Kobold facts: kobolds love Knight Rider. They understand it’s a TV show, but they like the fact that even in the 80s that humans could appreciate a clearly-superior and sassy techno super-car going off and having adventures with David Hasslehoff (whom they [and dragons] consider an honorary dragon)
