This game is the definition of style over substance. But dear god, is it stylish.

First, I'd like to thank's @zidnyman @playerdua, a gaming media outlet who introduced me to this franchise, and all the controversy from the perspective of KH fans that piqued my interest and finally understand a little bit why this game community is so large, and the sequel to KH4 has been eagerly awaited for years. There are many aspects to explore, such as the flashy, exciting, and stylish gameplay. The combat system in KH3 is a refinement of the previous installments, offering incredibly…

No spoilers review Long fan of the series... this game is beyond disappointing (I bought it Day 01 when it got released and couldn't beat it) 7 years later... I beaten it on critical The story of this game is so disappointing idk what they were thinking when they created this game, for people who say "Last world when the story gets good" the whole problem is from that world and how they approached the story in KH3 am not kidding when I say this is one of the worst kingdom hearts in terms of…

Pros: Game is gorgeous and it's fun to play in the small parts it is fun. Cons: I have said "this game is so ***" an uncountable number of times while I've been playing this. There's a fun game somewhere in here, but it's held back by years of redoing and corporate heavy-handedness with AAA "Game Design"

Game gets lots of unnecessary hate. It's one of those games where you simply need to play it again post launch with an open mind. Many people hate on the game since it's a tradition to within the community. Sure the story felt lacking, but Kingdom Hearts was always convoluted to begin with, and the gameplay is stellar. Combat is some of the best combat you will get in an action game and the worlds are gorgeous and outclass every other world in previous kingdom hearts games.

Kingdom Hearts 3 gets much better once you realize the following things: 1. You are legally allowed to skip cutscenes, especially the recaps of disney movies 2. The game expects you to be airstepping between enemies for mobility

Love all the Kingdom hearts games as a whole. Nice long game with beautiful graphics and a tonne of story. Only gripe, I like 3 the least but only due to the repetitive theme park ride animation attacks and overstimulating flashiness, If you avoid those, the game is good, I kinda wish there was an option to disable it so combats flows more like number 2.

Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind was a pretty fun ride overall. The combat feels great and flashy, and the worlds are way more open compared to earlier games, which makes exploration a lot nicer. Even the Gummi Ship sections feel closer to an open-world space map instead of the old linear routes, which I actually enjoyed a lot more. The story starts pretty slow and takes a while to really get going, but it does pick up near the end. That said, the finale of the Dark Seeker Saga felt a bit…

I probably would have given KH3 a thumbs down if I was writing this in 2019. While I really enjoyed the game, it frustrated me to no end. Going back to it now, almost exactly seven years later, I think that despite everything it deserves a “soft” thumbs up, especially with the Re Mind DLC included. To start off, I am still upset about the lack of Final Fantasy characters. I’ve heard the argument many times that since the original characters have become more prominent over the years, it was…

It's really stylish! It's also really easy, you just mash attack... and the plot is a whole load of nothing. For 80% of the game you follow around the Disney characters while their plot happens, and you're just kinda there I guess??

I liked the first two games a lot. I played this one for 6 hours, and I can say that these hours were spent on a story that spends too much time telling us the same things that we already know, with characters that feel a lot flatter than they used to. The gameplay is also less engaging, especially with the new disney-ride-style interrupts, which makes them feel somewhat of a chore. Maybe the game gets better later, but I would rather keep my nostalgia than risk it any more.

I've been fan of this series ever since I played the first game as child. And although I didn't like the combat style in this game at first. I've since then warmed up to it. ALSO I NEED TO FINISH THIS (NOW THAT THE SECOND KH4 TRAILER DROPPED AT THE NINTENDO DIRECT) Edit 1: I've beaten the game on Critical with some pro codes. I have officially changed my stance on KH3. I'm putting it above KH1.

Without a doubt the best looking KH game in the series. Gameplay : 10/10 Flashy, floaty, and just overall fun. Performance : 7/10 This game is running extremely well and a thumbsup for SQENIX for actually doing a good job with optimizing a port. Giving it a 7 because they only optimized it for normal…

This game gets a bad rap. I played it back when it came out in 2019 on PS4 and really enjoyed it, but felt Proud mode was overall a little too easy. I really enjoyed the plot, but thought some parts of the climax felt a little clumsy (which I still sorta believe) but the rest of the game is really fun. Flashforward to now and Critical mode provides an incredible challenge (i will say it's very frontloaded) and ReMind introduces some crazy superbosses and a secret boss that made me want to…

I'm sorry, but this game is painfully mediocre... and that's after I've played 1.5+2.5, 2.8, as well as the DS titles. I honestly don't know if I'll be able to get myself to beat it. Unironically, I'd rather go back to playing Dream Drop Distance - at least that game had something going for it. No matter how many mods I download and no matter how good I get at the combat, its just not KH2. The story is more nonsensical than usual. Not a fan of how the Gummi ship sections work now. Most of the attraction commands aren't fun, I only occasionally use them if they can help in a pinch. Even some of the keyblade transformations aren't fun, some of them feel straight up clunky. The worlds are big, yet somehow aren't that fun or memorable. Not having reaction commands was a big mistake…

I have a difficult history with this game. The Kingdom Hearts series was everything to me as a kid. I got KH1 and 2 in 2006 and I completely fell in love with them. The characters and story were perfect, and the gameplay and presentation were LEAGUES above anything else you could find on the PS2. From 2008-2012 I played all the spinoffs, and I enjoyed each new title immensely. I would not be the person I am today without this series. When the trailer for KH3 dropped in 2013 it was basically…

Story took a complete nosedive and hit the absolute lowest of the series. Base game is alright, but doesn't really come close to KH1 or KH2. Gameplay is such a mixed bag. Combat does in fact feel floaty as many people say, but they also introduce so much variety, that you have to applaud some of the decisions made here. I did not appreciate the combat until the ReMind DLC, and that is where this game really stands out. Gummi ship was actually fairly alright; I appreciate the new take on it.…

Contrary to what the 'common consensus' is I think KH3 is really damn good. I think the thing this game suffers from the most is that it isn't better than Kingdom Hearts 2. Kingdom Hearts 3 by far has the best Disney worlds, music, minigames and spectacle out of any of the mainline entries and brings the story of the Dark Seeker Saga to a head with Re Mind pushing the story into the 2nd phase of Kingdom Hearts. Without remind this game is a pleasant 6/10 for me, was a disappointment when it came out. With Remind it is an easy 9 (still hate some base game bossfights on challenge runs) because of the great combo modifiers and best superbosses in the entire series, topping both lingering will and the data fights for me

enjoyed my time and loved the game! I just looked into what the major complaints were before and after the patches and DLC, and I've gotta say, there are some things that fundamentally don't work with this one, and they simply can't be fixed. The pacing and world structure could've been handled very differently. Organization XIII doesn't have much impact on the Disney worlds(my biggest issue, specially because worlds are handled far better in other games), and then there's the Power of Waking,…

7 years. Not 14 years since Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PS2, not 9 years since Birth By Sleep, but 7 whole years since Dream Drop Distance. For 7 years, we waited for a game that had high standards for decades set by its predecessors. Fantastic sequel to the already 10/10 Kingdom Hearts 2, the story is not really good at all until the last world but that ending was so good it kinda makes up for the lacking storyline. The disney worlds in this are either at the bottom of the tier list or at the very top for the whole franchise. While the story in this instalment suffers especially in the Disney worlds, the boss combat and especially the post-game Re-mind content is where this game SHINES. By increasing the size of these worlds, they feel more fun to explore and the Disney stories told within them are very engaging. I gave this game another chance after the initial release because i heard Re-Mind helps it a lot story wise. I figured "Hey, lets give it another shot" but this was a mistake, the game is just spamming attractions and calling it a day. Re Mind is basically just replaying the same boss fights you literally just beat over again but you can play as a different character. Kingdom Hearts 3 was a fun adventure for the most part, but the game has definitely some rough edges: 1. The story is needlessly convoluted - what should be expected for a series spanning 3 mainline games and numerous spin-offs that are all more or less relevant to the big picture. It would've flowed much better coming directly from Birth by Sleep into KH3 imo. 2. Combat is messy, with an extremely aggressive auto-lock that makes targeting a pita when facing multiple enemies.
