unlabelledView post →I should replay Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet someday. I recall liking it enough but it's also one of the best game titles to just say out loud.
unlabelledView post →I remember Michel Gané also made a game called: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (2011) Imagine 2010's Limbo, but with more colorful graphics and an alien UFO as your protagonist and you'll immediately understand the appeal of this excellent indie game that never made it past the 360 for console release.

unlabelledView post →Though BIONIC BAY is a cinematic action game like Inside, it plays fast and loose like Super Meat Boy and while it's linear, the scope of these levels is so large, so alien, that I thought of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (in a good way). I'll be playing the remixed daily speedruns for a while yet.

It's a gorgeous minimalist Metroid-style sidescroller where you fly a UFO and upgrade your abilities through exploration. It's quite good!

unlabelledView post →someone suggested labyrinthine exploration platformer (LEP) which ends up having BOTH problems as not only could you describe, say, Ys games post V or most other Falcom action rpgs, as such a thing, it's also excluding games like Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet that aren't centered around platforming
unlabelledView post →platform-adventure feels like the closest you could get to being a self-evident term but it debatably also suffers from not being all inclusive of games that fit enough of the conventions to fit under the umbrella Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet comes to mind store.steampowered.com/app/205730/I...

For like, an art example, try Gris, Abzu or Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (many more) Also with games, you can play with others!! And games like Oddada, you get rad instruments and a guided musical moment. Books can't do this!
unlabelledView post →I've been playing Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet today, since it was in my Steam library, and Steam recommended it due to all the metroidvanias I've played lately. Honestly a pretty fun, though not spectacular little game. But that final(?) boss... no. I don't have the patience.
