Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Set during the Cold War, the Soviets—led by sword-wielding Irina Spalko—are in search of a crystal skull which has supernatural powers related to a mystical Lost City of Gold. Indy is coerced to head to Peru at the behest of a young man whose friend—and Indy's colleague—Professor Oxley has been captured for his knowledge of the skull's whereabouts. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →I remember seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the Arclight in Hollywood and after, taking the parking lot elevator up with a dude who had dressed up like Indy for the show, and I think about his dejected face like once a month. The vibe was disappointed anger.

I wanted to see whether it deserves its reputation, or it's unfairly maligned. Reader, it is WAY better than we remember. The definitive case:

The monkeys, the CGI, the schlock. Was so bummed out

unlabelledView post →You know what, it has been 18 years, I think it is enought time to rewatch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and I think that, upon a rewatch, it is just fine. I wouldn't say it is as good as the original trilogy (maybe it is better than Temple of Doom?), but it is not a bad movie.
