unlabelledView post →Toy Story, the Lego Movie, and Horton Hears a Who are all cosmic horror stories.
unlabelledView post →Horton Hears a Who is the only film Blue Sky Studios adapted a Dr. Seuss book to screen. Horton the Elephant (Jim Carrey) hears a voice from a speck and befriends the Mayor of Whoville (Steve Carell) but the Sour Kangaroo (Carol Burnett) has plans to getting rid of the speck by any means she can.
unlabelledView post →And story-wise, I've long appreciated the movies they produced were often about the importance of empathy and community. You see this especially in Robots, Horton Hears a Who, The Peanuts Movie, Ferdinand and Nimona. As an environmentalist, I also love how pro-environment their movies often were.

unlabelledView post →I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was a massive shock having grown up with Blue Sky’s films like Robots, Horton Hears A Who, and The Peanuts Movie. They were industry trailblazers that experimented with what would become the future of the medium.
unlabelledView post →my hair is going in a very "the emo Who, jojo mcdodd, from cgi Horton Hears A Who movie" direction at a rapid pace
unlabelledView post →I'm gonna sound like an insane person here but... remember that animated Horton Hears a Who movie with Jim Carrey? I was just thinking about it because of all the stuff with censorship and revisionist history going on.
unlabelledView post →My review of "Horton Hears a Who!"(2008): this is what many consider to be the best movie adaptation of Dr.Seuss books and I totally agree! the comedy is great, the story is decent, the characters are good and the visuals are great! It's a pretty good movie!😁👍 I recommend you all to watch!
unlabelledView post →Horton Hears a Who! (2008) Was hit with a sudden and violent wave of Nostalgia for this film so i watched it on impulse. Cute, charming, and very enjoyable. Also Dr. LaRue was hot, that's all folks.
unlabelledView post →Horton Hears a Who (2008) A re-watch for me, but this time in VC. Surprisingly enjoyed this a LOT more than I remembered of the movie. You can certainly tell its a 2008 animated film with its comedy, but hey thats part of the fun. The Wickersham Bros. cracked us up way more than they should've.
unlabelledView post →Yep watching this. It's Horton hears a who. A fun animated film with the voice talent of Jim carrey #filmsky #hortonhearsawho #animation
unlabelledView post →Alright let’s see… Horton Hears a Who 2008: has both Jim Carrey and Steve Carell to make an otherwise mid movie worthwhile The Lorax 2012: tries to build a story AROUND the original story, even if it falls a bit flat IMO Cat in the Hat 2026: stands out with a unique art style This one’s just ass

unlabelledView post →Me and @benjamincallins.bsky.social rewatched the 3D animated Horton Hears a Who film and WOW did I forget how directly it works as an allegory for cruel people (like a certain author) using their social position to bring hatred upon people who have the audacity to exist in a way they don’t like
unlabelledView post →This is without a doubt the funniest jump scare in a movie.😂😂 Dr Seuss's Horton Hears a Who.
unlabelledView post →if ONLY so many more people were aware of the Horton Hears a Who movie and how it connects to How a Grinch Stole Christmas... it's the SAME WHOVILLE, SURELY... the GRINCH IS SMALL, TOO
unlabelledView post →I reviewed The Grinch and The Lorax, so it only seemed fair to rewatch Horton Hears a Who! and review that as well. It is, by a country mile, the best film of the three.
unlabelledView post →H - Horton Hears a Who ⭐️6.3/10 at large this film isnt terrible but there were a lot of Forced Joke scenes that fall rlly flat and that one random 2D segment thats like a poorly dubbed anime moment was really cringe even in 2008 it felt Forced. overall just whatever
unlabelledView post →Extremely niche update here, but the 1970 film version of "Horton Hears a Who" is significantly more Yiddish than the book.

unlabelledView post →Wall E is a masterpiece! The Lorax is very not good IMO but I do have some nostalgia for it. Horton Hears a Who is probably THE childhood movie for me, in fact I posted about it just yesterday after watching it again! It’s pretty nice and the music is insane
unlabelledView post →Horton Hears a Who is my favorite movie that becomes an anime for a few minutes! It’s also the only movie I know that becomes an anime for a few minutes. Jokes aside, it’s actually pretty neat and nostalgic for me. 6/10
unlabelledView post →The closest a film got to capturing the whimsy and wackiness of Dr Seuss is Horton Hears a Who (aka the best Seuss film and nothing comes close) But I believe we can go even further than that film (Btw this is solely on the movies; the shows/specials do a much better job at this for the most part)
unlabelledView post →John Powell, the guy behind the ost for How To Train Your Dragon, also did the ost for this one movie called Horton Hears A Who. Now, John, it's just an animated Dr. Seuss adaptation, no need to go hard with the soundtrac- oh boy... Be sure to listen to the whole thing btw youtu.be/P4X6kNvW4XA?...

unlabelledView post →As a matter of fact, I do! The plush on the left is JoJo from the movie Horton Hears a Who. The other 2 are my wife and I's OCs. The one in the middle is J.J. McDodd, the youngest member of the McDodd family. The one on the right is Jorida McDodd. A genderbent version of JoJo.
unlabelledView post →Actually, I'm curious where the Horton Hears a Who rights are after the 2008 Fox animated film, because a Grinch / Horton crossover sequel could be intetesting. Heck, Lorax was also Universal / Illumination. Grinch v Lorax could also work.
unlabelledView post →They did have variety. They made Robots, Horton Hears a Who, Rio, Epic, The Peanuts Movie, Ferdinand, Spies in Disguise and were working on Nimona and the musical Foster when they were shut down. And pre-merger, they were working on a film about Ancient Egypt, but Fox decided they weren't interested

unlabelledView post →The Cat in the Hat movie is fucking awful but also one of the most memorably bad movies of all time, and the live action Grinch is honestly really fun. The Horton Hears a Who movie is pretty good from what I remember but everything since the CG Lorax has just been awful
unlabelledView post →Horton Hears a Who was my first Jim Carrey movie and I didn't know that until just now

unlabelledView post →i think the last animated film i saw in the theater was Horton Hears a Who, i wonder if a really cool one comes up soon would it be worth seeing? i do think im gonna see the Superman movie it looks fun. the last movie i saw with both my parents in a theater was Birdman on my birthday 2014.
unlabelledView post →It and the Horton hears a Who pancakes are probably like, the only time I've consumed movie tie-in foods. THe Horton Hears a Who was just... I think eating this was the reason god hates me.
unlabelledView post →For me it was at a time when I was pretty much seeing everything in theaters. I also remember seeing the Jim Carrey Horton Hears a Who which somehow was worse, if only for being bland while Bee Movie is weird enough to fully deserve it's status as a meme bad movie most haven't actually seen
unlabelledView post →Just a friendly reminder that Zelensky literally did the Ukrainian voice dub of the mayor from the Horton Hears a Who movie just so we can be a bit more on the nose of who the bad guys are and what the right thing to do is.
unlabelledView post →Just remembered how I used to be fan of Jojo from this Horton Hears a Who film.
unlabelledView post →Cute and terrifying at the same time. I remember picturing something like this happening when watching the Horton Hears a Who film (mostly because of that part where he breathes on the speck to help warm Whoville back up)
unlabelledView post →I think you’ve both awoken a new nano kink for me, or maybe that Horton Hears a Who! Blue Sky Stidios film did and I never realised until now lol
unlabelledView post →My first exposure to it was the Chuck Jones special on VHS (which also had the Chuck Jones Horton Hears a Who special on there as a bonus) I do remember seeing the Jim Carrey movie in theaters with my family when it came out
unlabelledView post →Thinking it's definitely that, too. Makes the most sense, and I'm also reminded about the Horton Hears a Who movie where the mayor gets called a boob. Also, apparently, the booby bird is named as such because it's a clumsy and easily caught for food. So it circles back.
unlabelledView post →Yeah I did like that Horton Hears a Who film they made.
unlabelledView post →Hey guys, happy sunday! Let's review another movie review, this time the only Dr. Seuss adaptation who is from Blue Sky Studios. Horton Hears a Who! And like the previous review, it's also a long thread... 🧵
