I liked the game series before I didn't. Incredible CPU hog. Be mindful of data sharing/privacy when playing the game. Read those pesky EULAs and related agreements... This make me wonder if this data harvesting is what causes the CPU spike while in-game.

Be careful. Way too high GPU/CPU usage during gaming. My laptop got extremely hot. I tried looking in what else it could be, but as soon as I turn off the game everything went back to normal.

Unless you plan to turn into the Hulk, I do not recommend it. Not only do they use the cheapest trick in the book—hiding the object you’re searching for partially behind another object—but you also mostly search for boring small stuff like pebbles, while everything else in the picture keeps constantly moving and driving you insane. Another thing to consider is that some objects are hidden under other objects you can interact with, and not all of them are obvious. On one of the maps, I spent an…

More Challenging Than It First Appears At first glance, Hidden Through Time looks like a simple hidden-object game designed for a few relaxing hours of casual entertainment. While that description is technically accurate, it would also be selling the game short. Beneath its charming presentation lies a surprisingly engaging experience that constantly encourages observation, curiosity, and attention to detail. After completing the game 100% and finding every hidden object, I can confidently say…

For the cost especially, not worth the money. Too much of the game has to be DLC paid and the Main Story doesn't give you enough to keep your time. Please make more available on the OG paid version so that we get more for our money. Game is cute and well-designed otherwise. Just...not enough for the buck.

Absolutely fantastic hidden object game! Very chill experience, has replayability value, includes a great variety of maps even without DLC, offers the ability to create your own puzzles, and is super kid friendly. It also allows for decent zoom-in and the images don't lose fidelity, because some items (like the key) can be an absolute pain to spot.

There's a time and place for it. The preview of this game is self explanatory. I get headaches after 5-10 minutes on this, so that's the kind of bite size I can appreciate. If cozy concentration is your thing, it might be for you. If you get motion sickness from repetitive motion on the screen, I wouldn't get it

It is an interesting hidden object game that takes you through different time periods, including the Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, and the Wild West. Each area has colorful hand drawn maps with lots of fun little details. As you play, the maps get bigger and more detailed. I like that you're not just looking for objects in the open. Some objects are hidden inside buildings, tents, and other interactive places. Every item also comes with a small clue that helps without making it too…

It’s a game that barely lasts five hours, even if you complete all the achievements, which require playing community-created maps. If approached as a relaxing experience, it ultimately turns into a rather hollow sequence of clicks, focused more on triggering interactions with objects than on genuinely discovering them. In short, the game feels significantly overpriced for what it offers — essentially mindless clicking that demands little real engagement. Extending the gameplay largely…

This is one of the better "hidden object" games you can find. It's actually pretty hard, I'm not gonna lie! I think the coolest part is the fact that you can create your own maps and share them online for other people to play. You can also play other people's as well. Very relaxing game!

@polykillpodcast.bsky.social #JustBeatIt I was very sleepy the other day & thought to myself, "I can't play anything demanding, it needs to be easy on the eyes" and thus started up Hidden Through Time (PS4), a game where you need to intensely stare at the screen to look for stuff for hours. I would recommend any other hidden object game over this one. The objects may only be 5% to 10% visible and the hints are sometimes misleading. You must also play user created maps to compete the base achievements.

PROS + Charming and detailed art style. + Relaxing hidden-object gameplay. + Maps feel lively and fun to explore. + Simple and accessible. CONS - Gameplay can become repetitive. - Some objects are tedious to find rather than satisfying. - Limited gameplay depth. VERDICT Hidden Through Time is a nice casual game that I enjoyed for what it is, but I don't find it particularly compelling beyond its basic hidden-object formula. On one hand it is a basic hidden object game, it does what is advertised. On the other hand it is the highest quality game I've seen of this genre so far. The scenes are animated, you can click on pretty much everything and they make sounds and there is a chill background music, so they did everything to make hidden object finding a relaxing and fun experience.

It has items you need to collect in a scene and once you have it, you progress to the next levels with the difficulty and items needed to progress increasing. You can create your own levels and share it with you friends which is a really nice.

It's fine... I guess. I can't say yes to this, and without a meh option, it becomes a no. There were a number of items that were hidden behind trees and rocks that were showing only part of the item, and you cannot move any items. For large things, like dinosaurs, that was ok. But, when looking for the tiniest of daggers, that is annoying. The clues are sometimes not helpful on the massive maps. For the $4 sale price in December 2025, it was ok. But, I would have been annoyed at the $8 full…

Get to know your surroundings as you slowly collect everything with the help of (sometimes rather silly) hints. Hidden Through Time is the best hidden object game I’ve played to date. This is a pretty fun little time killer. It took me a little over 4 hours to finish all the content in the base game. I haven't explored much of the online content yet, the level I played was decent but I'm pretty sure its all player made, so I wouldn't expect the same quality anyway. I love it! As a big Hidden Folks fan, this has been a very fun experience as well. ps. I wish the devs would add a tip function, similiar to cats hidden in X, so that even if the text doesn't enlighten you- there'd be the option to know the general region of the object had you guessed at least 80% of the objects/targets or something like that. Either way, thanks for this cozy game :)

Easily one of my favorite hidden objects game publishers. As much as I enjoy finding cats on any given day, I love finding various objects and I love the micro interactions such as poking a little sand pile and something plops out or it's empty. They often have the care to hide more than one similar item through the map so it throws you off a little, nothing is clumped together, there is space for everything and all items are spread around making you look everywhere instead of just behind, under or inside things. Each item tells you a story and, there is a nice, kinda funny mood to everything. The game looks simplistic before you buy but right after you open and start playing you see that it is made with a lot of love and care, all…

This game is actually pretty good. The main game has a good amount and variety of levels, the levels themselves aren't too large, with a few exceptions. There's also a system where the game counts how many objectives you have found during a whole series of levels, and the more you find, the earlier you can skip a level and go to the next one. So if you find a level that's too big or overwhelming, you can 100% an earlier level to skip this one. It's pretty nice. And for the last, the online…

A very pleasing little game that goes well with a few beers and a large monitor. Beautiful artwork. My only (very minor) gripe is that the background music gets old very quickly and has a pronounced hitch as it restarts the loop each time. A slightly more inspiring choice of scenario-appropriate music would be very welcome. Good value for the single player at this price and I would suggest excellent if you get into the level editor.

I love this game. I like to play hidden object games because I'm not very good at finding things and figure I could use the practice. I love that there's no time limit, so it makes it relaxing. I like the hints, too. With them, I have been able to find every object. Also, there are player-created levels, with the opportunity to create your own, and I've gotten a lot out of that, too. I'm just starting to create my own level, and the tools are fairly intuitive.

Fun "Where's Waldo?" type game where you find various objects hidden on a map. Something I found cool is that most objects react in some way when you click on them either with sound or they open up to reveal special hiding places. There's a campaign with quite a few maps and there is online content too if you want more maps but don't want to pay for DLC.
